I live not far from the factory. It's very nice cycling past and smelling the sweet chocolate on a cold English winter day. I think most people in the city are very proud of the factory.
I just have to say I have watched so many of these videos in the last few weeks and I am blessed by them. I learn history and both spiritual insight and discipline. I feel so encouraged. Thank you to all who put work into the ministry ♥️
Amazing story. Discipline, spiritual, employee friendly family. Such a great family who lived happily and respecting the heritage. Qualities and principles of the family made this company the great and we love you Cadbury. God bless.
Not sure if its public knowledge, but this company is in no way what you believe it to be. One of the owners and founders of Cadbury sexually abused one of his boys when they were only 8 years old. Not going to go into specifics but what he did is beyond disgusting! He obviously won the court case but should be put in prison for what he did!
A fantastic video, thank you. I visited the Cadbury's factory and museum a few days ago and was inspired by the wonderful principles of the Cadbury family. I am going to show this video to my secondary school students while giving them some Cadbury's chocolate at my after school club next week. We have a duty to remind others of our wonderful Christian values and heritage and inspire others to live like Christ our beloved Saviour. Thank you so much. This is one of my favourite TH-cam channels. You do God's work on earth beautifully. God bless. Michele England
@@TheIncredibleJourney God has truly blessed you and I very much appreciate your work. I even enjoy the theme tune at the beginning of the videos. Every single one I have seen has been excellent. 🙂🙏
The best thing ever is that Roald Dahl wrote Charlie and the Chocolate factory due to taste testing Cadbury at school, and then in 2012 Cadbury launched marvellous creations in homage to Roald Dahl in a circular way of inspiration.
I love this true story about Mr. Cadbury and his Company, village in Bourneville. Too bad an American Company bought Cadbury and laid off a ton of employees and replaced most people with machines/technology. Cadbury’s philosophy was aligned in “treat others how you would like to be treated”...something the American Company can learn from.
What a great history and message of hope. My wife and I are believers. We used to live quite nearby to Bourneville and were fascinated by the factory tour we took in 2000. Great to insert the gospel to this. Have shared on Facebook with my chocaholic friends! God Bless you in your work.
As an American, (and a patriotic and biased one!) I was convinced that Milton Hershey was one foreward-thinking and compassionate CEO - and that the "all-American" Hershey chocolate bar has got to be the best chocolate candy in the world. I stand corrected by this video. I hope the Christiann and compassionate legacy of the founder of Cadbury's chocolates will never die. BTW - I love Cadbury's candies, too. Especially the "eggs" with the vanilla cream center. They are usually sold in America starting a few weeks before Easter Day.
I live in Hong Kong. Cadbury grows with us. We used to have Van Houton but it seems to have disappeared from the market. Supermarkets here are all shelved with Cadbury and Lindt. Even though I like Cad, I wish to have a choice of Van.
Dunno if anyone cares but if you're bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother recently xD
Without sugar, no value or chocolate, if no chocolate, no value for sugar... so Sugar is from India and cocoa from Ghana, invention from Cadbury all are important
Fantastic video, really enjoyed the creativity and visuals! But honestly, I feel like the portrayal of the factory is a bit too romanticized. I mean, all those sweet treats are great, but what about the actual working conditions? Just something to think about.
7] Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? [8] He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? When I hear strine I want to switch off.
Cadbury chocolate is my favoured of all but this video had too much advertisement for the brand as if there was an under the table agreement about it. These kind of things though are not nice let alone "christian" ^_^
Hello Kokobil, No advertisement though :) We just wanted to share the history of Cadbury in a Christian perspective for this is a Christian TH-cam channel :) Have a blessed day ahead.
I don't know why this documentory suggests that Christianity promotes treating factory workers well when both Old & New Testaments say owning other human beings as property. The Bible even says you may beat your slaves just like a donkey or camel as long as they can get up after a day or two to get back to work! But the Bible promotes compassion anyway yeah? _Yeah right!_
Where i live theres no temperance society their best chocolate i think is called decadent.. I dont think they know wht decadent means.. Teachers get lazier by the minute.. Sad.. I ask God to use me from my corner to do wht he wants
Wholly owned by Mondelez International since 2010, unfortunately, and generally produced in the EU, not in Bourneville. That probably explains the drop in quality (I agree it isn't what it used to be).
@@robertstuthridge8980 Well both of you are incorrect, firstly Cadbury Chocolate has the most amazing chocolaty cream taste and the taste changed for a while back when it was took over by Kraft foods, but when Kraft split the company up, Kraft making food stuff and a new company known as Mondolaze International which took over Kraft's Confectionary production it made Bourneville in Birmingham it's Chocolate development HQ and the original Cadbury taste returned. Most Cadbury Chocolate is made at Bourneville in Birmingham with only a few products made in the EU such as Eire and Poland with Factories through out the world except the USA where it is made under licence by Hershey Chocolate. The Chocolate production is done at a factory in Chirk in Wales near Llangothlen and then taken in Road takers to Bourneville where the Chocolate Bars are made. I live about 5 miles from Bourneville which is a district of Birmingham now and only eat Cadbury Chocolate.
Goes to show when you go about the Lord's business , He , Himself will show up for you. 100 years later , Cadbury chocolates are still so popular..,..Lord reveal yourself in this generation.
