I own a brewery with my sister and her husband. We’ve spent eight years slowly building, working our asses off brewing, bartending at the taproom, and when we grew enough, selling to outside accounts and earning shelf space. We are still small but have grown to 23 employees who are all family to us.
I’m a huge BDS fan but honestly nothing pisses me off more than celebs or influencers buying their way into our wider industry and trying to claim market share through branding and no-effort contract brewing or contract mixing/packaging. “We tried FIVE different iterations before we landed on this recipe!” Comes off as tone deaf to those of us who have spent years honing our craft and dialing in recipes. It’s a cash grab plain and simple, and at those prices there is no way these gain any sort of traction in the already overcrowded space.
What’s the name of the brewery? I completely agree with you. Im in the alcohol business as well but I just manage a retail store so not as hard. I always like checking out smaller breweries.
This. We make craft beer from the best ingredients you can possibly get. With brewers that have 30 plus years experience. We charge $48 for a case of beer. Where do they get off?

As I put in other threads coming from brewing I was wondering how they contracted this with the company to brew/ distill it usually that gets very pricey if it's not big name or safe bet. Since I cant seem to find this company under anyone's umbrella even though id heard the name before but am unfamiliar with products. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a rebranding thing by them and just slapping bds on a product they already normally made if so that would make this way way worse.

The merch I understand their play on that, it can be a good way to make money. I didn't care for any of the designs, especially at the price so I never got anything. Thought the golf tournament was a good idea at first, but understanding it's just a management company that is putting it on wasn't attractive, and again...the price. Then the Breezy Bar. Seriously? Agreed as someone who has brewed large scale beer for years and gone through having to implement and then kill off brews it has to fit into its niche at the right price point or else it'll die usually a slow death. Though I will defend them on the initial price a little because contract brewing on a smaller scale can be very very expensive even getting a brewery that contracts or Corp to take a shot on an unknown can be hard to fit into scheduling with guaranteed brands sometimes.

BDS to Mars, but not at these prices. Been a friend of the channel for too long to not say something here. Wish you guys all the success in the world, but the support your fans give you is mainly predicated on how relatable the content is. Couple crappy but funny golfers, a talented and humble golfer, with a solid film and editing crew made the whole thing feel like a bunch of friends we all know hanging out and enjoying themselves. This feels like a missed opportunity. Would've rathered a partnership with an everyman beer that resulted in a special edition can and a couple extra bucks per sixer to go to the boys. The products marketed should help make people feel apart of something, not like they're getting ripped off just be there. My advice? Humble yourselvss and get closer to your roots. We don't all have YT/ endorsement money.

I've been a fan for a few years now and genuinely wish you boys all the best but between the $90 for a polyester t-shirt and now this $75 for a 24 pack, you boys are certainly not playing the long game.
It was important that we used premium blanco tequila with natural flavors and simple ingredients that also tasted delicious. No artificial flavors, no malt liquor. Have A Day is gluten free, non GMO, very light on carbonation and won’t give you cottonmouth after two sips.

This isn't Bob Does Sports trying to replace what you normally buy at the grocery store with their product, those products have exceptionally low prices because of the nature of the competition (this is not the next White Claw). This is a boutique product that you're buying for the novelty and to support the channel. If you can't afford the premium that's just fine and don't purchase it. But don't hate on the boys for trying out something that I think is pretty fun and cool. If they're trying to make money good for them, and if they've sold out all their cases then looks like it worked out well for them. I got some for fun and can't wait to try it out on the golf course. Here’s the it’s not about being able to afford it or not, it’s the simple why the fuck would I spend $70 before tax and shipping on a product that I can get at half that price? Hell I can play one of the top 20 courses in Maryland for less than $70. Or I can buy things that aren’t a consumable that’ll I get more than 1 use out of. This is sooooo out of touch with their fan base much like their merch prices

This is what happens when you're chopping channel money up 4, 5, or maybe even 6 ways. Never works. Fat Perez doing his own channel is the only result you will see in the next couple years because he will be a massive solo success and not have to give up a dime of it to partners.
