I'm 59 years old, still can't believe I heard the music of Gharm Nash as a solo artist and in CSN(Y) before I knew he was in the Hollies. And I discovered the Hollies music about the same time I discovered CSN and Nash's music 😆
Yes invented around 1959, used 16mm colour film, in Europe, were often found in better cafes in early 1960s UK. But this footage is actually from a comedy movie from 1963 in which they performed 2 songs in
Not seen this comedy film in years 'sparrows can't sing' I think it was called, written by blakey from on the buses. Obviously before he was in on the buses
This is the earliest video of the Hollies that I know of. It features Don Rathbone on drums, who left the group in mid-1963. Nice document!
One of my Favorit Bands, Allan Clarke have a Wonderful Voice

Love Allan starts singing hidden in back then pops his head up! Love this!
Fantastic tune. Absolutely love the bass and drums driving it along. Great vocals, great guitar playing, great rhythmn section, great song.
This version is much more uptempo and powerful then the official single version!
