I'm VERY interested in this radio. I'm glad that it includes MW/FM/SW radio bands. If the WiFi radio portion turns out to be reliable here in the US, you will have a customer in me. This is a more attractive a design to me than CCrane and Sangean offerings.

Hello, it supports FM but not the aviation band and US Weather now. However, we will consider adding this feature.
It can't get above 26mhz. Air band is 128mhz. (Don't waste your money)
@@mikeh8416 120 - 128 Mhz and AM too. So you can't mix say 20 Mhz LO with a Airband transmission and pull it in to the hardware detecting FM because in 86-120 Mhz WBFM band because the Fm detector cannot deal with an AM input signal, not without modifying the circuitry greatly.
Bought it, like it, but no where does it say how to set the date and time? It does not draw it from the Wi-Fi so how???
This is NOT the case. I received it yesterday when I posted this and also emailed customer service (no reply). It is still showing tomorrows date, day & time. Please advise. @@choyongradio
Dear, We adjusted the time setting of this radio yesterday. Once connected to the internet, the radio can automatically set the time based on your IP address. We tested it in China with a virtual IP and found that this method works, but we haven't tested it in the United States. Could you please check if the time display on the radio you have is correct? I look forward to your reply and apologize for not considering that the United States has multiple time zones.

Especially for one with NO sideband, and can't even get 10meters or above.
$250???? I can do MORE with a $30 Dongle and $5 antenna on my computer, and spend an extra couple bucks for an adapter for my phone. TOTAL COST UNDER $40!!
MY frequency range from 30hz to 1Ghz. I can even schedule, pick up and process video from weather satellites..
With an extra $30 dongle and a good antenna (bringing the price to around a whopping $110 I can even monitor local Public Safety TRUNKING with P25 systems (POLICE SCANNER that can receive 6 DIGITAL TRUNKED channels AT ONCE).
That can't even get the get up to the 10meter band, has no sideband, and they want $250? Sorry, but NO. If I want to listen to a bunch of religious broadcasts, I can do it for a WHOLE HECK of a lot LESS MONEY!!

For Value for money the Tecsun PL330 takes a lot of beating you can get them new for about 105 USD. Sideband , all other modes, the Audio does not match though the early non DSP versions of the Degen 1103 before they wrecked it buy changing it to DSP without changing the model number too. The only way you can get the older Degen is to get one second hand. I 'm in the process of building a SSB and CW transceiver for my nephew with this radio as the receive module . It's a keeper of a radio. I wish I could get another pre dsp one (Digital signal processing) one in good condition second hand. But them's the breaks. I'll likely buy a PL330 and put it in a a substitute before I hand over the hardware to said nephew.

@@choyongradio If it is possible to search internet via an app it would make it less likely to pick up faults by overusing buttons etc
@@choyongradio he means wear on the encoder and eventual replacement which may be near impossible out of China.
Biggest problem is if you use a internet radio more than about 1.5 hrs a day ie 45 hrs a month you chew out your entire data segment bought from your ISP and it starts costing you serious money., or your data rate drops so low you wish you did not use it. If you have only a Basic internet plan for PC only then you might have to cut back use to even 40 minutes per day. And of course it only works "in town" in that mode , say within 50 mtrs of a Wifi source that is free to air. or for which you have he Pwd. These are all issues in the practical world.
