Fringilla seem a little off to me I feel her betrayal in Witcher 3 was much better. Triss dosen't really seem to fit just that hair color, honestly just doesn't feel like her. Vilgifortz doesn't really feel like him just on the writing he feels more like a discount Prince of Persia he's got all that Swagger and bravado but I feel like he's lacking that supercharged God like Mage that he is in the books with this massive ego. Oh God though I hated the way the dryads look how hard was it to make them look green. I feel like The Skelliges looked too much like regular Nobles and not like Vikings. Also I know how this last bit is going to sound but that elf is just so ham-fisted in there. The character that was completely made up in the show and it's pretty obvious the reasons why he was created. I don't mind his character he shows Ciri the hard truth about her grandmother however maybe it's just me but a black elf just looks weird not being racist here it's just when you've grown up with the works of Tolkien seeing an elf with a dark skin colour like that just seems really jarring. Also that captain of Queen calanthe guard just really sticks out like a sore thumb the actor wasn't bad it's just when he's surrounded by all these other people he just really sticks out like the one black guy surrounded by all these white people, it just really makes him stick out and it kind of like takes away a little from the scenes. Also kind of sad that the green dragon died and God that nilfgaardian armour was just hideous I mean they could have at least had like the officers have the classic armour shit it's just bad especially when compared in contrast with the northern kingdoms Armour it really makes you think how the hell are they losing.
Didn’t expect this much quality from the series tbh, the music is insane and so are the actors. This song symbolizes my love for The Witcher universe very well.

I watched binged watched this show straight in 9 hours. Slept at 3am woke up at 7am and went to work tired. Worth it. Thx Netflix for a Gr8 show. Henry really nailed it as geralt.

That being said, I think the lack of clarity with what was the past/present could be slightly confusing at times, and I would've liked some of the characters/world building to be a little clearer in terms of names etc. I knew the Rectoress was important from the books but I forgot her name, and the show doesn't call her by Tissaia for a little while after her introduction which was a little irritating but I think the problems with the show are typical for most first seasons tbh. Heavy exposition, lots of worldbuilding in some areas, but not in others... I think it was better than S1 of GOT tbh

I love how in the first episode The Witcher is the Butcher of Blaviken at the end and in the second episode at the end how he is a "friend of humanity".

It isn’t confusing once you get to episode 3 with Fultest and realize he and his twin are children when Yen changes her appearance. So then you know that the timelines are jumbled up until the last episode.
Come on seeing king foltest as a child clearly shows you that yennefer’s story takes place before geralt, and then when geralt comes to calanthe’s daughter’s wedding you can tell that geralt’s story takes place before ciri’s. You really don’t need more than 2 braincells to piece this together and i honestly think the whole 3 timeframes thingie was done really well
I am sort of a new fan (have seen polish series a decade ago and do not remember any details except a great atmosphere). I realized there are at least 2 different timelines at the first episode where she mentioned a first won battle. So I do not understand why there is so much timeline haters. I was little disappointed by atmosphere but it delivered it somewhat at the end. So I really hope to see a second season soon.
I finished first session in one day. And all cast did great job I felt no disappointing I was afraid to watch it because I'm a witcher games , book's fan . It was so good I hope we see 8-9 session and directors, don't be failed like game of thrones
Fortunately the books are all complete so unlike GOT where they ran out of source material at the end of season 5 the witcher wont have that issue it all depends on the quality remaining consistent

Truthfully, the metal version is great, but there is something about this original version…the layers, the buildup, the crescendo, the instruments/voices that are subtle-don’t really notice em, but you definitely notice if they aren’t there, and the visual buildup…it’s just, well…EPIC

Jaskar/ dandelion the best adapted character from the books. This Geralt was adapted from the games which is to say..... still freakin badass.

Infidel Productionz I’m not saying it isn’t just that jaskar was the best I adaptation. Plus Geralt has the look sound and feel like he is straight out of Witcher 3.

Dunno if Henry Calvin read the books but he said he loved the Witcher 3 so that's probably why it feels more like game Geralt than books

i love Yennefer and her story
i love this series so much, especially the brutal violence scenes, although i really appreciate their chreography, im just scared of violence scenes so i can not enjoy them as much... i love the cast, the music, the humor !!! this is beautiful!
I loved everything except how they timeskipped things. I initially thought they were at the present and then it was the past. Then they came back to present and then back to the past. It was confusing.
Until episode 4 the Yennefer and Geralt's storyline takes place before the attacks on cintra, only Ciri is in the present timeline...
Ciri was in the present timeline during all these eps, while Geralt and Yen were in the past, i get that. Which is why it was so confusing.
i believe they did that to match the books because in books things weren’t in order and this way it keeps up the pace without it getting boring
@@deathking1019 maybe so, but you gotta admit, it was confusing. Do you not directly assume that the first ep was present? It's not like anyone here instantly knew that this was the past.
@@ignitus2129 I read the first two books and yeah if you dont know which short story geralt is in then its confusing telling which timeline apart.
