Perhaps further than you wished to go on this hand, if the spades are 3-2, there is a safety play in clubs by leading the 10 to the ace and low back to the eight capturing four club tricks when he has a Singleton honor.

Sorry I misread which video this comment was on. Yes if the spades were 3-2 leading the ten or 8 of clubs would help pick up any 4-1 break onside.
