This is super helpful Tushar! Love the commentary and analysis on flight paths. I would have been quite nervous being so close to the bushes. Good to see how Beau bailed from that situation and crossed the highway calmly!
great flying Tushar, It is always good to review your flights and look how you can better improve launch, flying and landing. Great call on the trees too
Nice , I like the base bar launch if the winds strong enough to lift the glider ,way more control . Most people basebar launch up here good for the quick turn into the lift as your already flying instead of changing your grip from upright to base bar and more leverage because your controlling from the lowest point of the control frame instead of half way up the uprights which makes for slower and heavier roll rates. haven’t had a problem in the 95 launches I’ve had so far. Glider feels locked in when you pull in and up into your ribs at the same time and control roll with your legs and squat down till you feel the hang strap goes tight. My instructor taught me this straight away says you have way more control in winds above 10 knots 👍🍻🇦🇺
I love base bar launches as well. I guess the threshold for me is - if the glider can keep itself in the air when I'm standing at launch. This day the wind was barely 9kts. No chance of a base bar launch! Some launches here have a bit of turbulence right at launch. Spion (in this video) is particularly unforgiving because it can give you a little kick as you launch. It definitely feels better to run up this launch on the base bar for control!
@@poklet yeah couple steps and the glider usually will float up in light wind straight to base bar and run thru . Each to there own though being comfortable with all launch techniques is the way to go
Love your videos thank you for sharing

Paul lost "lift" via sideslipping on his turn to the left.
Pitch-roll-pitch is the key

Ah. That’s a different kind of base bar launch to what I was thinking of. I’ll have to try that
