    I have owned 3 powerful Chinese ebikes over the past 6 years derestricted and throttle fitted.
    I ride the bike sensibly and also pedal and have had no issues with the law other than them discussing whether they should purchase one for their own personal use.
    I think as long as you are responsible and law abiding you should have no issues as ebikes are now in regular use on our roads.
    As far as reliability I have done over 8000 miles with only 1 component failure the battery charger and it was replaced under warranty very quickly.
    The problem with all ebikes is that there's very few bicycle shops with the experience to maintain and repair any ebikes irrespective of where it was manufactured

      @@michaelroberts7679 great post and I agree with you. I was riding the X3000 Max on the road in front of a police car and was a bit nervous. I made sure I still pedalled and kept it in low power mode. They didn't stop me and easily could've done. Great comment cheers

    Hi, can I ask, is there space to fit a phone holder on the handlebars? Thx

    It looks like good value for this power and range. I'd want to go for a branded disc brake on the front at least, with decent diameter to disipate heat.
    It would be nice to have thumb thottles to use each motor independently to maximise grip, but for the price its a good base to modify.

    Ive owned a powerful dual motor ebike, from china for over a year now, and never had any problems with it or the police. Simply put, you cant get anything remotely near a Chinese ebike for the price. Buying a uk ebike doesnt come close to what you get from asia. You pay 3 times as much in the uk, for a 250watt, that is a lot more dangerous on the roads, because it doesn't have the power to get you going quick enough, with the weight to power ratio

      Hi noodles, I see them everywhere too but am still not going to risk it on the road. The law is the law and I value my driving license. Appreciate your comment though as it gives the other side of the equation!

    May i just ask a question: how tall are you? I'm thinking about buying this bike, but i need to try to ensure i'll be sat comfortably, with my back as vertical as possible...thanks in advance 👍...

    I'm curious I'm 6ft 1 would I fit the size of the bike or would a 6ft 1 rider look too big for the bike?

    • @CampingSecretsUK
      @CampingSecretsUK  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm 6ft3, so you should be able to make a judgement on that. You may look big on it, but you don't ride it like a normal bike as there is so much power. Therefore the riding position isn't that important

    Nice review,Uk law needs reviewing, i have a great ebike with throttle,its needed to get you going to come out of a junction with the weight of these bikes,15 mph for me is ok,if the government want us out of our cars this needs reviewing.The key position is silly,must be a chinese generic frame design as my PVY is the same,should be on top of frame,its a nice bike shame its UK illegal,as for losing your licence riding this,not going to happen unless you kill someone one on it,confiscated and crushed,distinct possibility.

    Warranty etc on engwe is non=existent as are spare parts or even getting a reply to your emails. If you can't learn how to fix them, don't buy one. As for the cops, they have crushed e-bikes and scooters. Ride carefully and don't be a dick and they usually ignore you. Dual motors are for hills that you didn't try.

    • @CampingSecretsUK
      @CampingSecretsUK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is quite small - my legs don't fully extend. However, with the power on offer you don't really miss it. Remember this isn't a proper e-mountain bike. It's more of a moped replacement - you don't need to pedal very much to be honest.

    Completely illegal, lose your driving license illegal, riding it anywhere other than private land. And the bike will be taken and crushed.
    This is basically a moped, needs tax, insurance, mot, licence plate, indicators, motorbike helmet.
    250w pedal assist is the max in the uk.
