जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ।
jagadēva kuṭumbakam vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam
The World itself is one family! The entire Earth is one family!
येषामतिशर्मदा सर्वान् प्रति सर्वदा गर्वाद्यतिदूरगा भान्ती हृदये दया ।
तेषाममलात्मनां याता वसुधाम्बतां पितृतां गतमम्बरं जगदेव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ 1 ॥
yēṣāmatiśarmadā sarvān prati sarvadā garvādyatidūragā bhāntī hṛdayē dayā ।
tēṣāmamalātmanāṃ yātā vasudhāmbatāṃ pitṛtāṃ gatamambaraṃ jagadēva kuṭumbakam ॥
Those whose hearts incessantly exude compassion that confers happiness towards everyone at all times and is afar from pride and the like; for such immaculate souls, Earth unfurls as the mother and the Sky unfolds as the father. This World becomes one family, thus!
जात्यादिषु डम्बरं हित्वा विश्वम्भरम् पश्यन् समवीक्षणः सञ्चर सुविचक्षण ।
चिन्तय हृदि शङ्करं सन्ततमभयङ्करम् गतभेदविडम्बकं वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ 2 ॥
jātyādiṣu ḍambaraṃ hitvā viśvambharam paśyan samavīkṣaṇaḥ sañcara suvicakṣaṇa ।
cintaya hṛdi śaṅkaraṃ santatamabhayaṅkaram gatabhēdaviḍambakaṃ vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam
O capable one! Having discarded the entanglement or pride in castes and the likes, beholding the all-sustaining Lord Vishnu in your heart, travel ahead with equal-mindedness. Meditate in your heart, upon Lord Shiva, the bestower of eternal fearlessness, the One who has renounced all sorts of differences and contempt. Thus, the entire Earth becomes one family (free of contempt and conflicts)!
जहतामसमानतां जगतां वहतां मुदां हृदये सकलात्मताम् स्मरतां चरतां सताम् ।
सततं शुभकारिणां भयशोकनिवारिणां सकलेष्वनुकम्पया जगदेति कुटुम्बताम् ॥ 3 ॥
jahatāmasamānatāṃ jagatāṃ vahatāṃ mudāṃ hṛdayē sakalātmatām smaratāṃ caratāṃ satām ।
satataṃ śubhakāriṇāṃ bhayaśōkanivāriṇāṃ sakalēṣvanukampayā jagadēti kuṭumbatām ॥
Those who relinquish inequalities and only spread cheer to the world, those who consider all living beings as ‘Atman’ in their hearts; (Those who) Incessantly extend auspiciousness and resolve the fear and misery of others, and trot the globe like virtuous people, they extend their compassion to everyone by which the entire World becomes their family!

Beautiful and incomparable as always.... ..a soul-touching release at a time when realising that all humans are essentially part of the same fraternity seems an utopian dream... To know that this song is not from any ancient scripture, but has been composed by a 16-year-old youth of today's day and age, by capturing the essence of the Vedas, brings back some hope that all is not yet lost... Looking at Shree Sadasivan with his Gurukul attire and lustrous face, at Rahul and Manikandan, who are back to their Guru, and looking at Shree Kuldeep, the Guru himself, madly passionate, if I may say so, about reviving our culture with immaculate perfection in whatever he undertakes, fills my heart with pure joy that the ancient culture of BharatMata is still revered, respected and followed by such brilliant minds.
As a teacher teaching Shlokas to young kids, I would surely incorporate this song in my list of compulsory songs to be taught.
According to me, Namo Namo Bharatambe should be the National Anthem and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam the National Song and Kuldeepji should seriously be considered for the Padma awards, if not the Bharat Ratna, for his immense contribution to revival of our culture. Praying to the Almighty for these dreams of mine to come true:-)

But, at the same time, it is imperative that gems like you get the recognition you rightfully deserve, coz that would mean, our Sanatana Dharma and our Guru Parampara getting the necessary recognition on a bigger stage, which is essential for Bharat to eventually become the Jagadguru, that it rightfully ought to be. If in my capacity, would definitely push your name for a Padma at least, and this is not a fan madly gushing but I say this with all seriousness. :-)

Pranam all. Here is a humble appeal:
* Though with God’s grace, we have produced many songs, this is something special with a lot of ‘Tapas’ flowing into the process. I request all the Parents, Teachers and School authorities to kindly adopt this as a regular prayer, learn and render this in their school assemblies. The swara portion may seem challenging to young children, therefore they can be skipped if necessary.
* ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is penned by 16 year old Sri V. Sadasivan, who is Acharya Nochur Sri Venkataraman’s devoted son. Sri Sadasivan is a young Tapasvi who is immersed in intense sadhana, having a profound and extensive knowledge in Vedas and Sanskrit. Every line is filled with Shraddha and Bhakti. We rarely get such combinations in the journey.
* ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ - The tattva of ‘Oneness’ and ‘togetherness’ can be instilled right from young age, when incorporated in schools. Together, we can inculcate togetherness in young minds and help them build a peaceful and harmonious future.

I was waiting for this video from the day I saw the video where Sri Kuldeep garu and Sri Sadasivan garu were discussing. The way music and lyrics were developed hand in hand to ensure that meaning of lyrics and the bhavam of music remain consistent is amazing. And thanks for trying to bring Sanskrit to masses. Although exact grammar of Sanskrit is not known to many of us, once we hear the song and go through the meaning, we realise that words are not far from the languages we speak (other Indian languages).

Dear Kuldeep Sir, I need to pen this here. I studied Sanskrit as my 4th language in my school. I still remember the name of the book was Vasudaiva Kutumbakam. I literally remember thinking in 8th STD (which was the final year of us studying fourth language) that I won't be able to come across these phrases again in my life.
