Our homebrew club (Brewtubers) is planning to use these products in a beer this coming Sept and experiment with different combinations. Perfect timing for this video. Thanks much
I honestly don't think it had any impact on the actual color in this case (or in pro beers I've had with Phantasm). The video and image might not be doing it justice, but when looking at them in person the first one seemed just a bit lighter only because it still had some yeast and dry hops in suspension (even after cold crashing) which gives is the perception of being lighter to the often light cream color that yeast in suspension. As William says, the Phantasm seems to almost help "fine" the beer to an extent by helping to drop all of that particulate out during cold crashing. If used in a proper Hazy IPA, the grist of which would be much different, I wouldn't expect it to do as much of that dropping out. Hope this helps.
You can try it any way you want for sure, but from the pros we've talked to and info we've read it seems that most brewers are using the Phantasm mid-fermentation with hops. You could try doing the powder only mid-fermentation and your usual dry-hopping method and see how it goes?
How do we know the phantasm had any effect on the flavor of the beer using cosmic punch? Along with the control, the experiment should have been done with 2 cosmic punch batches, 1 with the powder and 1 without.

We'd love to know your thoughts on the final beer. Hit us up back here or on social!
Hi William!! I just ordered some.
Awesome! Check back in with us here and let us know what you brew with it and your thoughts on its effect on the beer.
phantasm? great movie. very old. you caught my attention with the yeast though.
An absolute classic horror flick!
Do you think the powder had an impact on the color? The two that have it look noticeably darker

Any chance you could add the recipe to the description? Thanks!
I'll ask William to share it when he's back in the office next week and let you know when we've added it to the description. Cheers!
does phantsm powder need to be used with a dryhop at krausen ? I usually dryhop at 15°C after active fermentation.

Go for it and let us know what the results are. Just something fun we tried. We're not Brulosophy over here. (Well, not always.)
