The reason they didn't build the pump house over the well is because it can be hard to pull the pump out of a well that is inside a building. It can be done but it isn't as easy. If freezing is a concern I might build a removable box that is insulated with foam board to go over the well. The insulated box would need to be anchored to prevent the wind from moving it. Yep he needs to get one of those cheap plastic sheds to put over the well head they are easy to pull a wall out of if they ever need to pull the well head I'd bet if he got a black one it'd stay warm enough with the sun and just a heat lamp
I've seen it done as a dog house kickout where the roof can be removed and a wall unscrewed quick and you can lift the pump out, but since it's connected, you can open up to the inside of the water shed so it shares heat
I have the same pump deal. Mine in Inclosed but a portion of the roof and 1 side is removable and the hole top is 1 solid piece of what looks to be beltline! No leaks.

Took a while for me to piece together what happened/changed with the original brand a couple years back, but I can see now how it was used as a means to financially grow yourself, all while keeping the family involved and together. Your sewer problem might be due to a grading issue. Gravity and the flow from the flushed water should push that toilet paper and crap down the pipe. if you are getting plugged regularly then there is a chance that your pipes weren't bedded properly and aren't sloping down to the lower manhole or drainage tank.
I hear ya on problems, took us 2 years to build our home, the builder quit without letting us know, we had multiple problems during build, we had to legally fire the builder, and had to find someone to finish our house, all the while they took our money and didn't pay for half of the work we thought we paid for. Now because our construction loan is past 18months capital city is telling us we have to refinance (not happening at these rates), or sell the house. Guess what we're doing ugh. I hope your family is all OK now!
@Brushcrawler yes, he was half assing for about 6 months and told us he would get the house finished. Then stopped doing anything at all, so legally you have to have a attorney send a letter to them letting them know they're no longer allowed to be on the site. Not weird, actually he did it to about 6 other people, and is now out of business. Also, we were all building at the same time, and yes we researched him before we chose him, he was in business for 25 years never had a problem. Us and the others unfortunately got stuck in the same spot at the same time.
@Brushcrawler Unfortunately contractors know these loophole's and when it's hard to find/keep skilled employees, customer suffers. Condo property I do maintenance at had a fire system pipe bust, flooded 6 units leading to complete overhaul, owners displaced for months. 2 different "reputable” companies got the contract, initial payment started the job then quit showing up. A 3rd finished it for the most part. Insurance handled legal n financial issues unlike M Ms situation but always be aware of the possibilities and who's responsible. @M M hope it works out for y'all.
@J T thanks, we had another one of his subs call us the other asking for payment, we watched any draws from the account and that money was taken out plus some, because of what they called covid inflation, so they never paid that poor guy in full so he never finished the job so we had to pay someone else to finish our trim and cabinets. Our city is the fastest growing city in FL, and you'd think you'd want to keep a good reputation. Hopefully our home will sell soon.
@@MM-bd3vr I feel your pain. In 1994 had a house built by a small family owned and operated business. Mom, dad, son, daughter, son in law all worked there. My wife worked at the courthouse so she looked up everything about them. No red flags, no lawsuits, good BBB, license, insurance, etc. Everything checked out. I figured the whole family worked there so they need to get things done so they can eat. 15 months on a projected 6-7 month build. Weeks would go by without any work being done. They finally finished and got the CO but I had a punch list that I stopped writing after three pages. I knew they'd never get it cleared up. The subs didn't get paid but at the end wanted me to pay them. What got me was I was at the job about every other day. I knew these guys by name. If they had told me there was a problem I could have worked to get it fixed. But they kept their mouths shut, thinking they could just lien the property if the contractor didn't pay up. Fortunately, I had a real estate attorney that solved that problem. The subs ended up with 37 cents on the dollar. It was a nightmare dealing with them. Could never get a straight answer out of them. The dad and son (who ran the construction end of things) were never around. I almost got arrested at one point. I was out over $10k extra on a $110k house because I paid out of pocket to get some stuff done at the end. We eventually moved in but instead of being excited, we were very unhappy. Instead of YAY!!!, it was more like yay?

I'm so glad ya'all are posting again, and with the adventures on your new property by A51! BTW, I love my SDS200 so much, I'm planning on getting the portable version like you have in this video. The SDS100 is the best you can get, and the only one (besides its mobile brother, the SDS200) that can truly process all the digital, including DMR and P25. So whatever is not encrypted, you have the right unit to listen. Many agencies do not encrypt due to the cost and annual licensing fees, leaving quite a bit of comms that can be monitored. Just thought I'd point that out having been in the comms business for over thirty years. My long version of a compliment on your choice of scanners, it is the best. I'm glad to hear your son is doing better, may this new year bring you and your family health and prosperity.
I have the SDS200 too, but I am waiting for our new Bob's Container office to set it up in there. I don't know much about radios though, so I have a lot to learn.

This is so cool you did this. Myself, son and youngest daughter have come out and stayed at the Little Alien twice. It’s a great place to explore and hang out. We absolutely love it out there!
Most (if not all) deep well water in the southwest is salty enough that no chlorination is needed. We use it "as is" for wash water (used only for taking showers and washing dishes) and we used highly filtered drinking water which is salt free. 8 years and 4 months of living fulltime and offgrid -- zero issues without our water this way. :)
I think it’s incredible that someone should take advantage of you when your at your lowest…..I am in hopes your son is ok now. Containers don't have to have a foundation... You can set them on 6 or 8 of those square post blocks if you want to keep them up off the dirt... They are structural. Hope that helps!

It was a recon run in my humble opinion and meant that you are doing nothing ...safe, you dont need to go in was calling off further ground recon, tey would have known you bought the place and all background checks would have been done the overfly was routine would be my guess, as an mil jet travelling at that speed doesn't get to see much ground related, terrain is all on tac..

I'm sure you figured it out but you have to have no light in the cab for the night vision to work. The best way for them to work is complete darkness in the cab. The slightest light will interfere with the night vision. Night vision goggles will intensify the tiniest bit of light that's basically how they work. But as I said looks like you have figure it out. Also the water tank you have outside to capture water you need to paint it black with an awning cover because sunlight will cause algae to grow inside, that's why the potable water tank you have is made from black plastic to block light from growing algae.
The area 51 rigs most likely have IR flood lights and a night vision camera with an on board display in the cab. I have actually seen a Jeep Gladiator with this set up. They even have obstacle recognition for anything tall enough to damage the vehicle. It will sound a warning and highlight the obstacle on the screen. It will even notice deer on the side of the road and sound warning as well.

@Michael Curley As big as the building is, 3 kids and 2 adults can have it painted inside and out without taping anything off, in less then a hour, Cost of a couple of rollers, one or two paint pans, and a five gallon bucket of Kilz - Making memories and having fun shouldn't cost hundreds of dollars ( A good paint sprayer cost 400 - 600 dollars, not including paint ) I am not sure if you have been watching and listening to their videos here of late. Most of the work they have had done to that property, they have lost their rears in, by people looking to make a quick buck, and cut as many corners as possible, knowing they can get away with it.

All that is needed is a removable hatch in the roof directly above the pump. You open it up and just pull the pump up through the ceiling.

@Brushcrawler Unfortunately contractors know these loophole's and when it's hard to find/keep skilled employees, customer suffers. Condo property I do maintenance at had a fire system pipe bust, flooded 6 units leading to complete overhaul, owners displaced for months. 2 different "reputable” companies got the contract, initial payment started the job then quit showing up. A 3rd finished it for the most part. Insurance handled legal n financial issues unlike M Ms situation but always be aware of the possibilities and who's responsible. @M M hope it works out for y'all.

@J T thanks, we had another one of his subs call us the other asking for payment, we watched any draws from the account and that money was taken out plus some, because of what they called covid inflation, so they never paid that poor guy in full so he never finished the job so we had to pay someone else to finish our trim and cabinets. Our city is the fastest growing city in FL, and you'd think you'd want to keep a good reputation. Hopefully our home will sell soon.

I feel your pain. In 1994 had a house built by a small family owned and operated business. Mom, dad, son, daughter, son in law all worked there. My wife worked at the courthouse so she looked up everything about them. No red flags, no lawsuits, good BBB, license, insurance, etc. Everything checked out. I figured the whole family worked there so they need to get things done so they can eat. 15 months on a projected 6-7 month build. Weeks would go by without any work being done. They finally finished and got the CO but I had a punch list that I stopped writing after three pages. I knew they'd never get it cleared up.
The subs didn't get paid but at the end wanted me to pay them. What got me was I was at the job about every other day. I knew these guys by name. If they had told me there was a problem I could have worked to get it fixed. But they kept their mouths shut, thinking they could just lien the property if the contractor didn't pay up. Fortunately, I had a real estate attorney that solved that problem. The subs ended up with 37 cents on the dollar.
It was a nightmare dealing with them. Could never get a straight answer out of them. The dad and son (who ran the construction end of things) were never around. I almost got arrested at one point. I was out over $10k extra on a $110k house because I paid out of pocket to get some stuff done at the end. We eventually moved in but instead of being excited, we were very unhappy. Instead of YAY!!!, it was more like yay?

I'm so glad ya'all are posting again, and with the adventures on your new property by A51! BTW, I love my SDS200 so much, I'm planning on getting the portable version like you have in this video. The SDS100 is the best you can get, and the only one (besides its mobile brother, the SDS200) that can truly process all the digital, including DMR and P25. So whatever is not encrypted, you have the right unit to listen. Many agencies do not encrypt due to the cost and annual licensing fees, leaving quite a bit of comms that can be monitored. Just thought I'd point that out having been in the comms business for over thirty years.

Most (if not all) deep well water in the southwest is salty enough that no chlorination is needed. We use it "as is" for wash water (used only for taking showers and washing dishes) and we used highly filtered drinking water which is salt free. 8 years and 4 months of living fulltime and offgrid -- zero issues without our water this way. :)
I think it’s incredible that someone should take advantage of you when your at your lowest…..I am in hopes your son is ok now. Containers don't have to have a foundation... You can set them on 6 or 8 of those square post blocks if you want to keep them up off the dirt... They are structural. Hope that helps!

I'm sure you figured it out but you have to have no light in the cab for the night vision to work. The best way for them to work is complete darkness in the cab. The slightest light will interfere with the night vision. Night vision goggles will intensify the tiniest bit of light that's basically how they work. But as I said looks like you have figure it out. Also the water tank you have outside to capture water you need to paint it black with an awning cover because sunlight will cause algae to grow inside, that's why the potable water tank you have is made from black plastic to block light from growing algae.
The area 51 rigs most likely have IR flood lights and a night vision camera with an on board display in the cab. I have actually seen a Jeep Gladiator with this set up. They even have obstacle recognition for anything tall enough to damage the vehicle. It will sound a warning and highlight the obstacle on the screen. It will even notice deer on the side of the road and sound warning as well.
Can't believe you pranked them back and thought of the night vison goggles.. can't believe no one is talking about that!? lol that was great!

@Michael Curley As big as the building is, 3 kids and 2 adults can have it painted inside and out without taping anything off, in less then a hour, Cost of a couple of rollers, one or two paint pans, and a five gallon bucket of Kilz - Making memories and having fun shouldn't cost hundreds of dollars ( A good paint sprayer cost 400 - 600 dollars, not including paint ) I am not sure if you have been watching and listening to their videos here of late. Most of the work they have had done to that property, they have lost their rears in, by people looking to make a quick buck, and cut as many corners as possible, knowing they can get away with it.
