your cgpa will depend on your class average marks unlike boards where grading is absolute

@Rahul thanks for the great video. My nephew got > 60k VITEEE rank. Planning to join him in Amaravathi VIT, Category 1. Is CSBS a good branch? My understanding is, it is CSE + TCS provided courses. Many off-campus recruiters don't know about CSBS so simply we can mention Computer Science in our resume. I will give CSE (& specializations) would be top preferences, CSBS would be next preferences.

as of now in vit vellore, the syllabus for core and specialization is mostly same so idt there is problem only writing cse in resume
also csbs is a decent branch with good placement so you can go with it

Dea Rahul,,, My son got ECE in VIT, CHENNAI,,, and CSE AI&ML in SRM... he is more interested in CSE AI & ML only,, whats yr suggestion... as parent we like VIT ECE.... but he likes SRM since CSE..... what is correct and whats your suggestion.. he is in a positon to seltiron one out of two... No other choices.... since he studied GCE A level....cambridge
I would prefer cse over ece but VIT >> SRM, also ece(mostly mathematical) is completely different from computer(mostly logical)
also i don't like mathematical subjects + i enjoy solving coding questions, so i will go with srm ai/ml

you can do that, but you need to have a very good cgpa in the first year to change the branch

Hi Rahul, thanks for the info. My daughter has got admission in VIT Vellore in Electronics and Comm., though she wanted CS. Her JEE did not go well, and we are waiting for Manipal and BITS. What is your advise

my son same issue,, he got ECE in chennai, though he wanted CSe AI * ML BUT he got CSE in SRM chennai,, we dont know what to do.... anycone can suggest
take admission in vit and wait for other exam results and if she gets a better college, you can ask for refund or else continue with vit
