I love how Ciara and Dr. Sarina each have full tablespoons worth of sauce on each chips and completely unphased, and everyone else has a moderate amount and most are on the struggle bus. Also, if you watch Hot Ones and don't yet know, Ed Currie is the dude who makes their hot sauces and, IIRC, developed Pepper X largely for their Last Dab sauce.
I'm the same way. I just don't go for the spicy hot stuff, BUT.... last summer I made 7 different types of hot sauce and gave it away to anyone that wanted to try it. I did keep a bottle of each in my fridge... just because. LOL

They came in 3 packs, mild, medium, hot. I found that quality milds were the best. Anyone can make stupid amounts of heat, but at the lower end they have to develop the flavors.
I really liked the expensive vs. cheap alcohol shoot from recently, but I am appreciating these Tryers more today than that vid! Glad to see everyone back and well! My fiance sherri passed away early December and I'm sure she would want me to share that she always loved your videos for the several years we have known about this show.
I have most of those sauces in my hot sauce fridge. Yes, I have a hot sauce fridge. You all really need to try Chocolate Plague hot sauce from Pucker Butt, it's made with Chocolate Bhutlah peppers which hit like an atomic bomb. There's no build up, no show burn with Chocolate Bhutlahs, they just hit with everything all at once. I find them to have more burn than Carolina Reapers.
The chocolate plague is by far my favorite one to mix for wings. If you mix a little cane syrup, a little melted butter, and it... The flavor ends up really nice.
This was the most reaction I have seen Ciara do with what she has consumed. Definitely a good episode. But I think the Try team should do the gauntlet of the Hot Ones wings challenge. And if you could get Sean involved, that would be amazing!

I wish I could get a bottle of "insanity sauce" i got back in the 90s in Arizona. The people that sold it gave a tooth pick for a sample and said they used it to remove oil stains from their driveway. One time I added like 8 drops on a plate of rice and was to hot so mixed the plate with the rest of the pot of rice, had to throw out the rice because it was still blistering our mouths and I grew up with Hispanics that put hot sauce on pretty much everything.
That is made by Dave's It is still available. Believe it or not they have like 3 sauces that are hotter now. I ruined several plates of food with a drop or two too many, haha.
A "friend" got me to try that at a big picnic years ago. It burned so bad that I ran up to the 5-gallon cooler and opened the spigot straight into my mouth. The ice-water was in the OTHER cooler. I got HOT WATER that people were using to make tea and cocoa. Oopsie! I honestly cried.
My friend from Trinidad Tobago uses Matoukes Calypso Sotch Bonnet sauce on mango with a little salr/pepper. Try that. Goes great with a glass of Rum. He used to bring it golfing. Highly addictive

I work like 5 minutes from Pucker Butt store which is where Ed does his magic, the last time in there Ed told us he was working on a pepper hotter than the Carolina Reaper but could take years to develop and evidently he did with X havent been there in years thanks to Covid. The funny thing is when you walk into the store it hits you instantly, I have been there when they are making a batch of hot sauce and the guy making is wearing a respirator. its located in downtown Fort Mill, SC which is just outside of Charlotte NC

What's interesting is I've always had a theory that the show Hot Ones had some kind of niche behind why the last hot sauce was tolerable and this just adds more questions to the theory I had. I think your taste buds and the amount of pain you receive has a physical limit. Once you reach that point; It's irrelevant what the scoville scale states. So you can go from 1-100 but if you're already at 100 and take something worth more then it won't push any further. Just a theory I had. Great video as always.

If you mix Dave's Insanity Sauce with buttermilk it makes it absolutely awesome chicken marinade
