in the end it's not a bad game, i'm just salty at the direction they took that removed almost everything i liked about it and now i feel like they will never make one again except if they try to remake the n64/gamecube version or at least as a base where they don't curse you with so much power and control over that world, but if they do a remake and implement terraforming, i think i would go mad crying tears of blood while enduring the grief
Nah NH is hella bad. people are too nice these days to be critical of genuinely boring, bland games.
No Luigi funny socks 0/10
I miss the striped socks too :/
Was one of my favourite little details in previous Mario & Luigi series artwork.
They were never real sadly.
@@Fuchsfein It was in Superstar Saga and BIS then never showed up again lol
For real tho, where did they go?
@@chrange9714 I remember it from Superstar Saga and Partners in Time. I thought it was a nice touch.
I'm not sure if it even was in Bowser's Inside Story artwork. Maybe it was gone already by then.
42:31 The new rendition of the all-time classic dance "Do the Mario"
I'm playing this too and I'm really enjoying it so far. Animation is beautiful, battle mechanics are interesting. I'd probably rate it similar to Bowser's Inside Story so far.
Still feels weird to hear the new Mario sometimes, but the new guy is killing it as Luigi.
Doesn't feel weird at all, he's killing it as both Mario and Luigi.
@@chrange9714 My point is that this Luigi doesn't ping me as "a new Luigi." When his voice is different, it still feels like a sound I could see classic Luigi making. Meanwhile when this Mario sounds different, it's still good, but it's not something I could see classic Mario sounding like. He's similar enough enough of the time that it makes it weird when he briefly sounds like a different Mario.
@@nerdyvids1 Neither voices ping as a "new" anybody, it all sounds like the characters. Classic Mario could totally sound like this, guy sounds nearly identical to Charles. He never sounds like a different Mario, he sounds like Mario.
I feel the same, Mario sounds off to me. I can tell it's not the Mario voice I grew up with, but Luigi sounds perfect.
@@Fuchsfein Comparatively, the new Luigi voice sounds more different from Charles than his Mario one so this comment doesn't even make sense. Obviously the voices are new, it's not Martinet but that shouldn't matter who it is. They both sound like Mario and Luigi, that's what matters. Nothing about Mario's voice is "off."
So they are like pokemon and only say their names now
Take a shot every time Mario says Luigi or Luigi says Mario (death guaranteed)
Luigi is my favourite Pokémon :3
There should’ve been a button that has them say each other’s name, so you can spam it like Jonathan and Charlotte.
To be fair such has kinda been in the games since the superstar saga games. And was at it's height in Bowser's Inside Story as I recall.
Take a shot every time Mario says Luigi
Gonna be honest, I thought the tinge of different color on Mario made me think TH-cam was adding a bit of magenta to red in videos too, not just the loading bars.
In case you didn't hear it, the Toad voice chirps when they're talking are horrendously blended Toad voicelines you'd expect from a MetalKingBoo video
They do this for Peach as well I think and it sounds horrid. No idea why they chose to do that when she's had a unique text scrolling sound since SS
@@Gaht64I think it’s because it’s the same thing the TTYD remake did with characters that had voice clips. At least the goombas and koopas from what I remember
@@waluigitheplumber5355 I don't remember them sounding bad at all though, probably because they stuck to one sound instead of 20 per millisecond like this game does
We're coming up on the second year of Vinny commenting on how many good games there are, and I like that :)
The dialog of mario and luigi is truly incredible
luigi, luigi, mario? mario! luigi, luigi!, luigi, mario
1:00:59
Mario Porter Bridges on his grand journey westward to reconnect a fractured Concordia.
I can't shake that this is giving me Bomberman vibes aesthetically
mister sauce u would love bowsers inside story it is the besd one. if you knew you wanted to play them both i would say play partners in time first to build up to inside story but you only have so much time so i would say play bowsers inside story and if it leaves you wanting you can get more from partners in time, but inside story is the pinnacle
The game's art-style has grown on me a lot.
I love the new direction that the terminal 7 lore is going. Now it's Mario being the braindamaged patient who thinks he's on a ship that is made out of islands, and Luigi is the voice of reason taking care of him, and in reality most of it is in mario's head and luigi is struggling to pay the bills and taking care of marios worsening condition, and binges on alcohol and ketamine to stay sane
Hand holding forbidden
This game seems charming, even if it’s a bit hand holdey and repeats itself constantly.
The first 4 hours or so are pretty slow and basic/repetitive, but it gets a lot better once bros attacks and "combat plugs" get introduced.
@@AssailantLF Similar thing with Dream Team, though that game still beats this with how long it takes to really get going.
the thing about this game thatll turn a lot of people off is that its a very slow-burn type game. it doesnt dump everything on you at once, but it definitely gets better as it goes on and rewards you for sticking with it. about 14 hours in and im still getting new abilities and the story is still progressing, but i can see how a lot of people will be turned away from this
So glad this series is back honestly Mario RPGs are my favorite out of the entire series
This mans really went from the first to the latest and didnt play kino BiS or DT
Ah a fellow DT appreciator, how’s it going GIGACHAD
Or Partners in Time.
people kept undertale-ing him about bowser's inside story (particularly whether he should play it or partners in time first) so don't expect him to touch it or dream team
@@VinchVolt Really I've only ever seen myself mention Partners in Time, people seem to generally not like it as much as all the other games in the series, even though it's one of my favorites lol.
Based DT fan
Thanks ign
I don't remember my Mario having this many facial expressions.
38:35 omg Wayne hylics
i almost expected vimty to point it out, given how much he enjoyed hylics
I hope Vinny continues, I genuinely love his RPG streams
The return of *NUT*
I'll add to the pile and say that I'd love to watch more of this. Vinny + Mario RPGs is my favorite combo.
1:01:00 Vinny obliges
1:35:20 Dearest... Chatjyot
1:40:00 *Toad noises*
I know of an italian restaurant called 'luigi's' somewhere near me, all I really remember was that it was kinda like an Italian salad bar. I don't know if they had pizza there. all I got the one time I went was linguini with alfredo sauce. at least I think. don't know if the place is still open, they coulda moved out and nobody moved in. I still see the sign up when I'm in the area.
I had something like that. It was called like "Hut di Pizza" or something
vinny i know you have your concerns but PLEASE PLEASE play the entirety of this game. i love going to your streams for new mario games and i really want to watch you play this one too and i know im not alone.
I love the artstyle of this game so much, they look so cute
BEANTY WHY DO YOU PLEY BEBBY GAEM WHERE IS SHUT
Playing this and not Partners in Time or literally VORE THE GAME IS CRAAAZY
those seedle enemies sure remind me a lot of the lads from kirby mass attack, anyone else? they even throw seeds at you.. or maybe those are rocks, hard to tell.
If only they were more green, I'd agree with you on the Beanbon thing.
1:20:15 - I missed this Vinny voice. 😂
A new Renaissance has begun. Let us revive the legends. So happy this game exists.
this game seems pretty cool im convinced the IGN reviewer in charge that gave a shit review had some serious issues with his brother himself and took it personally, theres a lot of people now a days that don't do their jobs properly due to immaturity
Soundtrack is surprisingly good! I felt the 3rd entry had a phoned in soundtrack, so im glad this one seems to have a ton of effort and creativity.
vinny is such a boomer, caring about game reviews.
Luigi having an existential mid-life crisis through his newly acquired Luigi Logic powers is my favorite vinesauce bit
This game is a little slow but I've loved it so far, about 10 hours in right now.
Take a shot each time vinny mentions performance issues
25:42 my advice? Both are great installments to the series with their own special additions to the game. Either is a good choice, my only advice is look into the difference between the original and remake for inside story, as there are some changes between the two in the main game.
A shame he hasn’t played Bowsers Inside Story yet, but perhaps this game will stir up enough interest for a playthrough eventually.
Every single upload of BiS would have to be prerecorded
He is in protestful streamer mode and refuses to play because they asked him.
@@massgunner4152 I love Vinny, but sometimes he can be very full of himself
@@EthVortexShield yeah, I can already see what chat would spam:
“LUL vore game xdddd”
I am willing to bet Vinny is hesitant on playing BiS because of that.
no commenter! My fans asked me to play it I CANT!
