I'm 80 and my wife is 71 and we both thought the Beyond blows everything else out of the water. We had np problem getting around, and thought the food and entertainment were terrific. We nkeep our phones in the safe and had no problem without it.
The food in the Cafe on deck 14 is better than the Main Dining Rooms. The premium dining areas are excellent . If you cruised 20 years ago or so the entertainment currently is terrible. I’ve seen Motown and recording artists on my cruises in the past. Overall a solid B for this ship Also I get rubbed the wrong way for paying for water The service on the ship was impeccable .
I love the Infinite Veranda! Flexibility, privacy, remote control, and admiring the views without having to step out to a windy/hot/cold/rainy/noisy outdoors. Modern and sleek look. I'm glad you liked it too.
Got off the Beyond yesterday. Some notes: we were traveling with 12 people so needed reservations if we wanted to dine together; they are only offered at 6p and 8:30p with the group. Since the ship was only 70% full, we found it better to break into groups of 4 or 6 and we were all able to go at whatever time and be seated that way. Absolutely loved dinner at Eden! Probably the best meal we have ever had on a cruise. Crabcake is must have. We did not see shows there as they were often late and we were exhausted from the day (and drinks.) As you mentioned, lots of live music on the ship. Enjoyed it in the martini bar, a daily before dinner stop. Not live music but silent disco was so much fun! After staying in the infinite veranda room, my husband and I will revert back to a traditional balcony. Will comment more about that on your other video. Thanks for your in depth reviews!
Just returned from the Celebrity Apex. Honestly it was perfect for our group 50’s-65 year olds. Wasn’t much kids - saw maybe 3. Mostly adults and a lot of seniors with walkers and wheelchairs. I felt like it was classier than most boats. I’d go on an edge class ship again for sure. And I am huge fan of the infinite veranda….left window down at night and slept sooo well with the sound of the ocean.
I would be scared of too many people in walkers and wheelchairs. They leave pee and poop on toilet seats, sneeze and cough without covering their mouths and often have snotty noses. They also always have that horrid old people smell.
We cruised on the Beyond in November just after the naming ceremony. We booked an Aqua class room but had our upgrade bid excepted to an Aqua Sky Suite so we took advantage of all the Retreat amenities. We ate in Laminae every evening except for a night at Eden. The food and service was outstanding. I am an early riser so I liked that the fitness center is open 24 hrs and I loved the multi level jogging track. The entertainment was also great, the two production shows were the best we have seen anywhere. This was our third Celebrity cruise but first on an Edge class. Some of the areas of the ship are different but if you don't like them then stay out. All in all I would go on another Edge ship anytime.
Just got off the Edge and we have been on 23 cruises (main stream and celebrity ) hands down our favorite ship! I was worried about not liking the infinity balcony for 11 days but I totally prefer it now! Beautiful ship, the nicest crew, and good food! No complaints at all!
Great summary of the differences, Ilana. We've cruised on the Edge and thought it was a wonderful experience. We appreciated the amazing art work, sculptures and various design elements. It felt more like a luxury resort hotel versus the typical cruise ship. Had one of the best meals we've ever had on land or sea in Eden!
An excellent assessment of the Celebrity Beyond. We have completed two cruises on the "Edge" class of ships and will be on the Edge for an 11-night cruise beginning on Monday. We have really enjoyed our cruises on the "Edge" class ships, but have to admit we are big fans of the "Solstice: class of ships on Celebrity. Our biggest complaint is the discontinuation of fixed-time dinning. In fact, we stopped sailing with Royal Caribbean when they removed fixed-time dinning from the "Oasis" class of ships several years ago. After a period of time, and numerous complaints, they returned fixed dinning as an option. It is interesting to note, that if you book a cruise today on-line on the "Edge" class of ships, the fixed-time dinning option (6:00 pm or 8:30 pm) is still part of the booking process. Celebrity needs to advertise or notify passengers in advance that fixed-time dinning is no longer an option on the Edge class of ships. After our upcoming cruise, that was booked more than a year ago, I expect we will no longer sail on the "Edge" class of ship for this reason. Like you, we really enjoyed our time in the Cafe Al Bachio, the Roof Top Garden, and in Eden. Other areas we really enjoyed was the wonderful gym, the theater in the round, and the solarium, and the quality of food in the Ocean View for breakfast and lunch. Areas that we think could be improved is the entree selections in the main dinning rooms (For example: an Italian themed restaurant - with only one pasta dish on the menu???), and more options for speciality dinning (no French or Italian restaurants). Additionally, due to the open air concept in the atrium, the speciality dinning restaurants on deck five (open to the plaza) are very noisy as the rock music from the Plaza below is very loud. You mentioned that you ate five nights in Main dinning room at the same restaurant - which restaurant? Thanks again...
My husband and I were just on the Celebrity Beyond last week and really enjoyed it. We are in our late 70s. There was a wide range of cruisers onboard. The ship is beautiful! Captain Kate is fantastic! The food was good everywhere, but we were disappointed with the buffet at dinner time because of limited choices. However the buffet was good at breakfast and lunch. We ate at all 4 dining rooms and had a specialty dinner at Eden one evening and lunch one day at Eden. Lunch is complimentary at Eden. The food at all of the dining venues was good, but our service at Normandie was very slow, so much so that we got to the theater too late to get a seat. I like the Infinite Veranda, but my husband prefers a traditional Veranda. I hope this information helps.
Yes, this was very helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment… Been thinking about the celebrity beyond..... we are 70 and 71 years old… Dancing is really important to us, and I was wondering the type of music that was being played… Anyway, thank you again
My concerns with the newer ships in that you are going to see a significant rise in prices over the older ships even after the honeymoon period. Also, I am concerned that I am seeing major reductions in food quality and varietu as compared to 2019.
Just did this cruise. Your evaluation is 100% spot on perfect. And side note: I still don’t know how I feel about the infinite balcony, but it would not stop me going again. Oh, and perhaps you mention this in another vlog, the service and staff were impeccable!!! It was nice to see some familiar faces in your video. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. 🤗
Just got back off the edge and totally loved it. A few things, the ship could have done with a bar, little English pub or hole in the wall. There seemed a lot of wasted space onboard. Eden lacked a purpose to me, felt plonked with no direction, and the artsy access is a waste. Loved the new dining instead of traditional dining, no more sitting next to Bob and Bev from Brewarrina every night ptl. Crew was awesome, and the ocean view cabin we had was 5 star. So happy me and my mum in her late 70’s booked another. all I can say is GO!
Just got off the Beyond this morning. Celebrity knocked it out of the park. The form and style was to say the least stunning. But let’s talk about the theater experience. The stage entertainer and the productions were definitely next layer but the visuals effects were the (Best) I have ever experienced. Bravo to the crew and staff for an exceptional experience. Don Randell
Oh man, after my first Royal Caribbean cruise I was ready to swear off all mega ships. But this looks absolutely amazing - you might just have me convinced to try it.
My husband and I were on the Edge, Nov/22. We LOVED it as well as th infinity staterooms. I would say the only negative for us was the wasted space for the super high end stores. They were nice but not necessary. That was my 20th cruise and like you, we raised our 3 kids going on cruise vacations! I really enjoy you videos!!!
Great video Illana. We were on the Celebrity Edge in November and loved it. The modern design was very nice and different from the other Celebrity ships we have cruised on. Yes the hallways can be long and we picked our sky suite very near the aft elevators. Loved the rooftop grill for a very wonderful dinner experience. Didn't do much around the main pool as we spent most of our days at the Retreat area which was amazing. It was definitely worth the extra cost. Just siting in a lounger at the bow of the ship overlooking the sea and sky was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience I have had on a cruise ship.
We’re booked on a Beyond SV for our November 2024 Caribbean cruise. Great to see such a beautiful ship and one that’s modern, light and airy. Thanks for such a great and informative review. DW and I are in our early 50’s and this will be our third Celebrity cruise.
I appreciate your providing this content, as it's my opinion many other channels shy away from being upfront about the ship experience so they don't offend anyone. Thank you again, i appreciate you.
We did a 8 night cruise over the Christmas holidays and Beyond was amazing. Only complaint was we had a window washing machine outside our balcony cleaning the roof of the Eden restaurant. That should have been a noted to us as a restrictive view and maintenance workers almost on our balcony operating the machinery at port. Room 7325.
I was on the Apex yeast year for a transatlantic crrossing, and was just on the Beyond a few weeks ago hosting a group. My experience on the Apex was absolutely aweful, so I was dreading the Beyond. But I have to say that the little tweaks they made with the Beyond made an enormous difference, and I absolutely LOVED it. Interestingly, my feeling on the Apex transatlantic was that I was too youg for it. Note that I do many transatlantics, and have never felt this before. But on the Beyond (9 days Croatia, Montenegro, Italy) it was an entirely different experience.
First, I wanted to say I started following you and I’ve never went uncrushables and this is the first year ever. I think you do an amazing job. I just enjoy watching you.
We sailed the Edge class Apex for 14 days repositioning from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale.. We loved loved love it.. Loved our concierge class infinite veranda, loved Eden for breakfast and dinner and shows.. it seems that the Beyond is not very different... loved the 4 MDRs and you could order from a different restaurant's menu or even a veggie menu if you wished.. and Cafe al Bacio became a meeting place for so many of us... We would sail it again...
I was recently on the Silhouette. I have to say, having been on the Equinox, Reflection and now the Silhouette, I still love my Revolutionized Millennium class ships (smaller and they have SALT WATER pools!). We are booked for an 11 day South.Carib and Panama cruise on the Beyond for March 2024. No salt water pools but I really love the LOOK of the Beyond! I can't wait to sail on her!
We just got off the Edge a week ago , we have cruised the solstice class 20+ times ! You absolutely nailed it !! I said the same pros & cons as you !! We loved the Edge!’ And are definitely booking it in 2024 !! I could never recommend this ship for my 84 year old mother that uses a cane and has joint issues, I would suggest the Solstice class for sure . The only thing you missed that we found a bit annoying, was the infinite veranda, you can not have your air on and the veranda window open at the same time , we love getting ready and having the open air and sound of the ocean coming through our stateroom , or simply leaving it open when we sleep without it being terribly humid in the room !!that’s really the only downfall. Your review was spot on and I shared it with family & friends! Thank you
Totally looking forward to your ship tour! One of my favorite ships ever was the Equinox, this does look quite different though I love exploring new things. Thanks agian!
BIG THUMBS UP, LIKE and SUBSCRIBED Question, didn't you just hit 100K subscribers and now you're at 120K, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Thanks for being a great content provider. We really love all your effort.
My very first cruise was on the second voyage of Celebrity Edge. I’m hooked! I sailed again on the Millenium and did notice the difference My preference is the Edge series and I would cruise just to be in one of the Edge ships! Thanks for this honest and informative mini review
My wife and I went on the Celebrity Ascent maiden voyage ( Dec 3-10, 2023) and we had the time of our lives. The ship is brand new and beautiful. Customer service was amazing, entertainment was great and the food was top notch.
Thank you for this video. You are always so fair and provide examples that explain the reason for your commentary. We all know that cruises are selected to meet our individual tastes and priorities and you provide solid information to allow for smart choices.
Great timing to post this video. Hubby and I are about to go on the Beyond in three weeks and this was very informative. We also read a lot of negative reviews on the infamous verandas, so I was pleased to see that you enjoyed yours. I do love your cruising videos, I have used several of your suggestions over the years! Thank you for what you do.
I think I would like this. Give me an infinite verandah! Anytime dining is excellent. And it looks beautiful. At 72, I love cruising and I’m more interested in the aesthetics than the activities.
I’m in my mid 50’s and my wife is in her late 40’s. We sailed on Apex last year and had a great time. Would certainly sail again on a Edge ship but would stay away from the other class of ships. We are cruising NCL Prima this year, and have a hold on a VirginVoyages cruise as well. We have been on 10 cruises (NCL, RC, Celebrity, and Princess). We are done with “traditional” cruising and looking for a modern, adult orientated cruising experience.
We are on the Apex back to back in February. We usually spend a lot of time on the verandas on ships, particularly in the Caribbean. The ship and cabins look lovely. Hope we like the infinite
We was on this ship, in September. Loved new design, rooms with balconies. We are in mid 40s. My husband, who doesn't love cruises in general, loved our Meditaranian cruise, on this ship
Thanks so much for this! I absolutely love how all of your videos - despite some of these ships being pretty high end - never patronize lower income cruisers or make us feel left out! I always feel like you really do such a great job with making all ships look accessible to everyone! A lot of times I see a ship on your channel and then think oh yes let’s do it! And then I google it and see - oh no, this isn’t at all in my budget! (I’m still only MSC for now) but I love the fact that I feel like every ship is for me after watching your videos! I feel like you do such a great job of showing all different parts of every ship - you always show such a wide variety of ways to enjoy the cruise. I love the way you always include both main dining and specialty dining- I know I’ll rarely indulge in specialty dining, but it’s still fun to just see what all is available! But for those of us who have to stick with the stuff that’s included, you always consistently include that too! I also feel like you cover a real big variety of activities - I love how you give everything a little description even about stuff that isn’t your cup of tea. It makes me feel like I can really trust your reviews, since you include both the positives and the negatives, and things you like and things you dislike (and don’t make others feel bad if they do like them!) I get the sense that your videos are for everyone, even if someone disagreed with all your takes - you seem so open minded and open to everyone’s feedback and I just love your vibes! You even include info about the stairs for those who are differently abled - and you keep it open ended so as to not marginalize or single out any one type of person who may not be able to use the stairs / jogging track etc. Thank you again for everything you do to make us all feel so welcome. Can’t wait to catch up with your other new videos! 🚢
Just got off Beyond two weeks ago. Beautiful ship with great crew. Have been on Edge but liked Beyond better. Changing the cabanas around to face pool made a lot of sense. Agree with you on sunset bar. Really like Magic Carpet for morning drink after breakfast or just hanging out. Do both RCCL and Celebrity. Like RCCL with family and grandkids but love Celebrity for just the two of us. Didn’t do infinite veranda so can’t comment on it. Really liked the sunset veranda with large balcony but long walk to elevators (don’t need gym!) Liked Eden for just hanging out and saw a good show there
On the Apex we found a 50-70 crowd on the 12 night sailing. The next week the 7 day Norway cruise had loads of families and therefore felt totally different. Had great cruises and will sail Edge class again for the right itinerary though ship size limits the available ports.
Thanks Ilana for this revealing review. I think I pers would enjoy this ship and how it is laid out. I like the idea of many little alcoves and more intimate spaces. The aqua classes look like a blast 😄
Thank you Ilana! I will be cruising on the Beyond in January 2024. I'm so happy about the live music! I think I will love this ship. I appreciate you and look forward to all your videos!
I really appreciate this video. We are eager to try Celebrity. I'm 50 and my kids are 26, 18, & 15. I'm torn about which class of Celebrity ship we should try first. I have a permanent ankle injury and cannot walk down stairs, so your note about the stairs and multi-level aspect of this ship is definitely a cause for concern for me.
My husband has three back fusions and not supposed to take many stairs. We had no problem with elevators as the elevators seem larger to take more guests. Also we were in the fartherest room forward and did not seem like a long walk to buffet which is aft on the ship. We loved the edge and would highly recommend it.
Thanks for sharing... especially the innovative areas or levels that will not be comfortable for seniors, like me. I have cruised with Celebrity before but with their old cruiseship. I will your tips in mind. Take care and cheers for your next blog.
We have sailed Edge and Apex and will be on Beyond next week. We are in are 60s and love the E-class ships, especially Cafe alBacio the Club. Retreat areas are fabulous.
I was totally excited to book this ship until you showed the multi levels. I just cruised and rented a scooter. Until I have my knees fixed this helps so much navigating the ship. So that is going to be the deal breaker for this ship. I was telling all my friends that Celebrity is trying to entice younger crowds and I think they have succeeded. This ship is so beautiful! Really so unique. I think I love all of the changes. Restaurants, balcony rooms, entertainment, games, etc. The pool exercises look fantastic as well as yoga. I really think I would love it. So hopefully in a year I could try it. I've watched so many of your videos and must say thank you! They are very helpful and not boring one bit. As a 25 plus cruiser, age 65 I am surprised how much I still learn. I used your Amazon list of 40 items to prepare for my next cruise. We went over Christmas and are dying to go again soon. My husband got hospitalized one week after coming home. Sepsis, and it could have killed him if he was on a cruise, especially at sea. I would enjoy traveling with you. Do you ever let people know your plans?
We were on the Edge earlier this year. We’ve taken 30+ cruises over the years. The Edge is a beautiful ship. We loved the included dining options, as well as the rooftop garden and innovative theater. We didn’t like the Infinite Veranda as it felt more like a big picture window instead of a traditional balcony.
thank you for this review You showed me so many points that would keep me off this class, it is just not for me. Getting around and then just taking a walk on the track would be out. I have been mostly RCCL and have been on Celebrity Solstist (sp). I enjoy your work.
Incredible ship and cruise experience...not a cruise to take your kids thank goodness!!! take Royal Caribbean for family cruises. If you're older than 75, take a Princess cruise. I highly recommend Celebrity for a Premium cruising experience. Edge Class is the BEST.
Thanks for the comments about accessibility. I had concerns after looking at the deck plans for Edge. Not so bad if sailing with one other person but if sailing with others would feel awkward.
We are looking at another Alaska cruise with my cousins next year or the year after. We normally have gone on Celebrity's Solstice leaving from Seattle. But next year the Solstice is going out of Vancouver and the Edge is taking over the Seattle route. We like the Seattle route for many reasons to go into here. But we are rethinking the ship option. The cost of the Edge class is much higher than the Solstice and the accessibility issues (navigating around the ship and the room locations and number of accessible rooms). We have been also looking at other cruise lines but are not very excited about those either. Tough choices
This video was so helpful. I’m booked on Beyond for early next year. I just had a fabulous time on Summit and the M Class ships are a favorite of mine. But I’m also looking forward to something new. The infinite veranda doesn’t appeal to me though. I’ve booked a Sky Suite with a regular veranda and access to the Retreat. Re dining times, I’m now a convert to the any time format. It’s so much easier to have a flexible schedule. And with Luminae being a smaller restaurant, wait times have never been an issue at breakfast or dinner. 🚢😎
Okay, Sub here....Very good intro to the Edge class ships. I would like to see a full review especally on the resturants you tried. My conclusion of the video: Why would you cruise any other Cruise Line? We have been Celebrity fans, not only for the great layout of the ships, but the staff and Service are the best! PS Good looking family!
This ship looks so beautiful and with many places onboard that are really different from more traditional ships... I personally would love to experience it ...
Cruised on beyond in sky suite Everything was fantastic service food entertainment retreat etc etc etc we are both aged 69 and from the uk We are going on celebrity ascent maiden voyage in dec can’t wait
Thank you for touching base on the Beyond. We will be boarding the Edge in two days. We've never sailed on the Edge class we've always sailed on the older Celebrity ships so this is going to be quite a experience for us. 😊
Just traveled on it. We were very happy. Clean contemporary ship. The shopping is limited and not really much to do for teens. Definitely seems more like a older kids and couples cruise.
I really want to try it. 2 Cafe IL Bachio seals it. Plus, I Loved your stateroom. Great video for those of us who are older but younger than our years. Lol. I already booked for November on the Reflection. But let's see what comes upon Beyond for me. Please do a video on your new dresses. I definitely want the two blue ones.
We were on Edge over Thanksgiving having done Solstice and Reflection before. Both in our 70s. The layout is a bit chopped up for us, deck 3 in particular has that “you can’t get there from here” feeling. Booked set dining but was told by concierge had to do anytime. Cosmo and Normandie were good, Cyprus was OK, Tuscan was awful. Cabin had the bed next to the infinite balcony. With the French doors open I stepped on the door track in bare feet more than I needed to. The “balcony” did add space to the cabin though. Cruise overall was good but prefer the layout on Solstice class so probably wouldn’t book Edge class again.
Excellent review... very objective and fair. We have cruised Celebrity 10+ times and many changes going on now. It seems the food is not the same level as past as they try regain profitability with their Trifecta Strategic plan. Any reviews between Celebrity and comparable cruise lines you can do in this area would be helpful.
We are on the Beyond in a week so thanks for all the info. This will be our first cruise on a ship that is not Disney. We’ve done 17 with Disney and are looking forward to something new and different.
My wife and I have been sailing Celebrity for several years, and we recently tried the Apex and Edge ships. We specifically chose cabins with a "real balcony," since the Infinite Veranda seems to us to just be a big picture window. Looking out from the (quite nice) cabin, it's like having blinders on -- you look through a relatively narrow opening unless you get right up to the window. There's no "peripheral vision." We liked Eden pretty well, though the many levels are somewhat tiresome to navigate, and mostly impossible for mobility-impaired folks. Also, the chairs in the public areas are of a dizzying variety but have one thing in common -- they're quite low. For those of us of a certain age this can be a challenge. The look of the ship is pretty nice and modern, with lots of art. As you noted, that art-installation hallway that is the only entrance to Eden is pretty divisive. It's different on each of the 3 ships, and each seemed like a waste of space to us. In two cruises, we've never seen the Magic Carpet move. As a retired engineer, I was looking forward to that! But parked on the pool deck, it is a lovely place to have a drink and watch the ocean -- one of the nicest public places in our opinion, when the weather allows. One of its advantages is that it is relatively quiet. The noise level in the Grand Plaza, around the Martini bar, is very high quite often in the evening, and it fills the whole atrium area (3 or 4 decks high). Cafe El Bacio on other ships is a nice relaxing place, but on the Edge class it is too loud for comfort anytime a band or the martini bartender show (hourly) is going on. I can't imagine eating at one of the specialty restaurants around the atrium. The noise level in the Eden area is much more comfortable most of the time -- at least you can converse with your friends there. We really enjoyed the theater -- very modern thrust-type stage with the latest in lighting and projection effects. And the food continues to be a Celebrity strong point, though recent cutbacks in the buffet were disturbing. The varieties of food seemed somewhat reduced. After about 4 o'clock almost half of the area was roped off and dark -- it looked abandoned and forlorn. We were very surprised when several of the always-beautiful deserts actually had flavor! That was a pleasant surprise -- we had long abandoned the deserts in Celebrity buffets (with a few exceptions) because they were lovely but mostly tasteless. The staff, however, were unfailingly friendly and eager to serve. So, we've tried the Edge class now, and we'll return to the M and S class ships. Next cruise is Alaska, in May.
Thx for this video. It showed me what I don’t want! Yes I wish I was physically able to do all of those things but I’m not. My last cruise was in 2019 & I found that many people didn’t show up for dinner at their assigned table. I’ve always enjoyed getting to know different people & sometimes long term friendships were made & we would schedule cruises together in the future. Do you find this is changing now? I’m excited to book a cruise as soon as all restrictions are stopped.

Awesome! So glad to hear your feedback
The food in the Cafe on deck 14 is better than the Main Dining Rooms. The premium dining areas are excellent . If you cruised 20 years ago or so the entertainment currently is terrible. I’ve seen Motown and recording artists on my cruises in the past.
Overall a solid B for this ship

I love the Infinite Veranda! Flexibility, privacy, remote control, and admiring the views without having to step out to a windy/hot/cold/rainy/noisy outdoors. Modern and sleek look. I'm glad you liked it too.
Great to hear!!
We did not see shows there as they were often late and we were exhausted from the day (and drinks.)
As you mentioned, lots of live music on the ship. Enjoyed it in the martini bar, a daily before dinner stop. Not live music but silent disco was so much fun!
After staying in the infinite veranda room, my husband and I will revert back to a traditional balcony. Will comment more about that on your other video.
Thanks for your in depth reviews!
Thanks for sharing your experience too, especially as you cruised with a group 👏
Kids leave pee and poop on the toilet seats also...I didn't see any of that on the 5 Celebrity Cruises I've taken.@@pinkorganichorse
Sounds like you're referencing small children verses older or physically impaired adults.
@@sandraelzie7864 no. That describes the elderly. Children wear diapers and are taught very early to cover their mouths.
I've never sailed with Celebrity and now I'm tempted to go on the Beyond. This ship is gorgeous!
We have been on Celebrity Apex in December 2022 and loved it! Very nice trip!
I’ve been on to CELEBRITY CRUISE is he will not be disappointed. Refused to go on any other cruise line.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences & thoughts
Thanks Illana for this informative review, I have a long wait until 11/22 but looking forward to my trip on the Beyond🚢😊
Thanks so much for sharing your experience:)
That Elephant disturbs me. He looks constipated, not what I want by the pool! Thanks for the info!
Eden is my favorite place on any ship! We sailed on the Edge and loved it. The dark hallway is really weird, but you get used to it
Awesome to hear!!
Oooh you should. This is a good size btw
The Reflection is beautiful.Sometimes, bigger and more is not always better.
We are booked for next August and I’m so glad to see your reviews and explanations. Now I’m so excited.
Great to hear your experience:)
We have an aft balcony booked on the edge looking forward to that!
We are on the beyond in April and I am beyond thrilled in large part thanks to some of your reviews which tend to coinside with what I thought
Great to hear!
Thanks for sharing!
Very curious of your thoughts compared to Millie and the summit after your cruise this month
Interesting, never cruised Celebrity so I appreciate all reviews and aspects. Not that they would deter me from going on them.
Great to hear that this was helpful:)
I have issues walking. Your observation about the stairs/elevators was enlightening. Thanks for making this informative video!💙
Thank you so much for this video. As a paraplegic and full time wheelchair user this ship looks like it would be way to hard to navigate.
Hi how are you doing?
Considering this ship for a Christmas/New Year’s sailing Dec ‘24. But I am booked on the Maiden Voyage for the Ascent. Cannot wait.
BIG THUMBS UP, LIKE and SUBSCRIBED Question, didn't you just hit 100K subscribers and now you're at 120K, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Thanks for being a great content provider. We really love all your effort.
Love the tip about getting around the ship. I’m not aware of anyone else who discusses that in their reviews. That’s why l love Ilana’s reviews.
❤️
My very first cruise was on the second voyage of Celebrity Edge. I’m hooked! I sailed again on the Millenium and did notice the difference
My preference is the Edge series and I would cruise just to be in one of the Edge ships! Thanks for this honest and informative mini review
Hi how are you doing?
The Theatre shows on Beyond were fantastic, with great singers, musicians acrobats and wow what a screen behind them!!!
We saw that ship in Port on our 7 day out of Galveston Jan 14-21. Our ports were Roatan, Belize, and cozumel and we saw this ship at one of the ports
SAiled on Beyond a couple of weeks ago. Love it !!!...
Thanks so much for your comments. I appreciate that. Btw, I hope/plan to do an MSC cruise in 2023 :)
Really liked the sunset veranda with large balcony but long walk to elevators (don’t need gym!) Liked Eden for just hanging out and saw a good show there
Looking forward to our cruise on this ship this July.
You are going to love it!
Hi how are you doing?
Thank you Ilana! I will be cruising on the Beyond in January 2024. I'm so happy about the live music! I think I will love this ship. I appreciate you and look forward to all your videos!
That’s awesome!! I’m sure you’ll love it
As always, such a thorough review. Thanks once again. PS - I'm hoping your next video will talk about what ya'all did at your ports!
Absolutely 🙌
I really appreciate this video. We are eager to try Celebrity. I'm 50 and my kids are 26, 18, & 15. I'm torn about which class of Celebrity ship we should try first. I have a permanent ankle injury and cannot walk down stairs, so your note about the stairs and multi-level aspect of this ship is definitely a cause for concern for me.
Perhaps Celebrity has more info about the stairs and accessibility. There are ramps in Eden & in the martini bar that I saw :)
This cruise ship looks gorgeous…very aesthetically pleasing…love the cabins with floor to ceiling glass. Wow ..
Hi how are you doing?
This cabin looks amazing!!! Would definitely book this type of cabin!!!! Thanks so much for the review.
Great review! Now I feel I need to cruise!
thank you for this review You showed me so many points that would keep me off this class, it is just not for me. Getting around and then just taking a walk on the track would be out. I have been mostly RCCL and have been on Celebrity Solstist (sp). I enjoy your work.
I was surprised to see the track elevation. Not a fan.
I’m glad the video was helpful & gave a sense of the ship :)
Incredible ship and cruise experience...not a cruise to take your kids thank goodness!!! take Royal Caribbean for family cruises. If you're older than 75, take a Princess cruise. I highly recommend Celebrity for a Premium cruising experience. Edge Class is the BEST.
I agree! I love the fact that there are no kids running down the halls at night lol.
Never been on a cruise ship before. And we are looking at this ship. 50&45 year old British couple.
Thanks for the comments about accessibility. I had concerns after looking at the deck plans for Edge. Not so bad if sailing with one other person but if sailing with others would feel awkward.
I’m glad this was helpful. Perhaps give Celebrity a call to get more details as I’m sure there are things I didn’t see
We are looking at another Alaska cruise with my cousins next year or the year after.
Great review Ilana. We are sailing on the Beyond this February. Love all your videos.
Awesome!! Please let me know what you think :)
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I’m a wheelchair user and see this ship would be pretty challenging for me!
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for sharing your experience. Btw, Summit is a favorite of mine too, but we really enjoyed Beyond as well
On the celebrity app it shows you your dining time. You still have traditional 6:00 dining time. There is also a later one too.
We like traveling with our 30 year old adult son. He noticed Celebrity is attracting more people his age but not single straight girls. 🤣
I always pick a room that's a furthest one from the dining room so I have to walk. That way I never gain weight on these cruises.
Excellent recap! We have yet to book on one of these ships. We look forward to checking it out for ourselves.
Looks amazing to me!! A few ships have gone to only 2 elevator banks and it can be a lot of walking.
Hi how are you doing?
This ship looks so beautiful and with many places onboard that are really different from more traditional ships... I personally would love to experience it ...
Cruised on beyond in sky suite Everything was fantastic service food entertainment retreat etc etc etc
we are both aged 69 and from the uk
We are going on celebrity ascent maiden voyage in dec can’t wait
Thank you for touching base on the Beyond. We will be boarding the Edge in two days. We've never sailed on the Edge class we've always sailed on the older Celebrity ships so this is going to be quite a experience for us. 😊
Just traveled on it. We were very happy. Clean contemporary ship. The shopping is limited and not really much to do for teens. Definitely seems more like a older kids and couples cruise.
Going on the Apex this February. Really looking forward to trying something new though l love the Solstice class.
I was on Apex a week ago and loved it! I have Beyond booked at the end of the year and know it will be wonderful.
Excellent video, thank you! I’ve only cruised Princess to date, but considering branching out. Looking forward to your review. 😃
Was just on it last week….We were at the back of the ship, perfect spot
Thanks for paying attention to accessibility! Very helpful video.
I’m so glad this was helpful! I’m sure you’ll love it! I’ll definitely share my more recent dresses :)
100% agree about the food.
We are on the Beyond in a week so thanks for all the info. This will be our first cruise on a ship that is not Disney. We’ve done 17 with Disney and are looking forward to something new and different.
you're going to enjoy it! not many kids! lol
thank you for the quick review. We've only sailed on Carnival and would like to branch out. Beyond looks like a great option for us
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your videos,
You really do a first class job on your presentations.
I like strolling top side deck 14 on the solstice in the night air with sea breeze
There's no "peripheral vision."
We liked Eden pretty well, though the many levels are somewhat tiresome to navigate, and mostly impossible for mobility-impaired folks.
Everything looked beautiful!
Why so many negative comments? Ship is stunning!
Hi how are you doing?
I've been watching your videos as we have just booked our first cruise since Covid.
I have found your videos to be very informative and interesting. Thank you for your guidance.
I went on the Edge maiden voyage and thought it was fabulous. Just went on the Reflection last year and didn’t care for it as much as the Edge.
Love Love Love the
Infinity Balcony 👏👏👏
You have a LOVELY FAM 🫶🏻
Love your videos . So informative! Going on the beyond in two weeks !
