Hi Chris, KL is mostly tourism and foreign worker, the food there is so so I would say as a Malaysian, you should try the best Nasi Lemak in Damansara uptown which certified deliciousness from Malaysia prime minister. Petaling jaya SS2 for food at night and Subang Jaya Ss15 for food at night as well.. Those place is not far from KL if you take Grab car. You won't have difficulty to communicate in those area I mentioned above cause thru Malaysian are English educated since primary school.. Kuala Lumpur is not bad but as a Malaysian, we seldom go KL. If you have the time for a travel to Penang or Ipoh. They made authentic Malaysia food. You won't regret.
You won't go wrong for street food in Penang, in Kuala Lumpur, if you see those flavour drink are ready made in the street, you must not buy them because they're all just sugar even Milo.. The drink level is low they just top up with sugar water.. Like 5:40
"as a malaysian, we seldom go to kl".. are u talking about urself or the whole Malaysian in general? A lot of Malaysian come to Kl for foods.. what nonsense u r talking about..
Hi guys 👋 the food looks absolutely delicious and I can't eat it!! I'm just wondering if there is healthy options for a diabetic ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😊
This place is actually known as Masjid India as the word Masjid means Mosque which you saw earlier in the video. It was built by the Indian Muslims and caters for them. Little India is situated in Brickfields, KL.
Hi Chris ,really enjoying your travel vlogs, done with respect to the local culture and nice touch with kindness to those less fortunate, the street food vlogs are brilliant always enjoy finding out about different street foods
We love you Chris. And you do have talent, you are an awesome dude and good at making us all comfortable to enjoy to come along with you on your travels. God bless you bro!
"Little India" is in Brickfield, KL and Jalan Kelana, Klang (Selangor)... Jalan Masjid India is not "Little India." During Ramadhan, there will be Bazaar Ramadhan along Jalan Masjid India.
you are one of the very few travel vloggers i follow chris, as always excellent videos. you do a great job inter acting with the people and also generous when it comes down to giving them an extra tip. f the haters bro dont listen to them
We Malaysian easily love beautiful people with a beautiful attitude... We don't hesitate to deport any Karen & Darren to their homeland back. Be respectful, great manner n treat anyone else the way you want to be treated ;)... You are the best example of lovable traveller including Solo... 😂😂😂❤😂😂😂
Hey bro, Masjid (mosque) India. It is a mosque used to be for Indian Muslim in KL. Now it is a landmark with many muslims shop for Tourist. In fact the whole Chow Kit / Raja Laut / Kampung Baru area are mostly malays community. If you want to visit Little India you should go Brickfield area. And for the red drinks are actually Rose Syrup drinks. Most of the vendor selling drinks, are quite sweet but some that haven't mixed with sugar syrup as the lime drink you bought (you can see the cup is already with sugar before the fill the drinks into it), you can request less sugar. cheers mate.
Since you’re at Malaysia, you really really should come to Kuching Sarawak this time. Because at this time you can found many more foods to eat because of the month of ramadan. Lots of all love bro.
Chris as always great video, Singapore is so pretty and clean you have to go, you are not that far away 1 hour flight GO......... yes expensive but worth the visit
Chris i love your vids, just found your channell 2 days ago ,have watched about 10 vids already jamaica getting hair braided she was nice, ,Kingston, and Malaysia, and yeah I like the positive interactions just subscribed,
Hi Chris, in Malaysia most of the drinks are sweet. You may ask/request the vendor/seller to make them less sweet. Just for your info, Masjid means Mosque, and Masjid India means Indian Muslim Mosque. The weather in Malaysia is not conducive to walk around in the day time. But walking around in the main business area with food stall is were you can find and interact with locals or foreigners who has settled down in Malaysia. Anyway, i enjoy your channel and have a pleasant visit going around visiting places in Malaysia
Hey Chris! I am sure you were in Masjid Jamek on Friday. Thats why you can see that there are people listening to sermon and praying at the most. Since friday is Muslim‘s holy day, people close theier shop for few hours so that they can perfom their prayers at the most. Typically between 12-2pm.
Hi Chris.im from Malaysia live in London UK 🇬🇧. Love to watch your vlog ❤️..you are very kind 😊 and friendly. I can't wait to see more of your video 😍 take good care..you are one of a kind.
We only started watching your TH-cam videos recently.we don’t like your comments . In front of small hawkers you are smiling for your own videos firming. When you back to the open street you did comment the same ways as you first met those people. We want to support you but you have to control what you talk to the public. You don’t have to highlight so much when you from then talk bad about what you had just bought.
Masjid India area is mainly hotspot for Muslims in KL. Like shown in your video many local Malay(Melayu) here and also other Muslims like Indian Muslims, Pakistani, Bangladeshi etc. This area will be super busy n crowded during Ramadhan. Vey good that you explore other parts of KL instead of touristy spot like jalan Alor n Petaling Street
Chris - Jalan Masjid India is different location from Little India which is in the Brickfields area. Jalan Masjid India is parallel to the Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman Saturday street market that you explored with Travelling Solo.
in malaysia If you buy drinks from container, be always shake or stir them thoroughly before start sucking those drinks for the sugar concentrate are put and laid in right at the bottom of the cup. One more thing, u can always ask for "less sugar'
Your TH-cams are so much fun. I enjoy watching them. A little correction to make. Jalan Masjid India, is actually an Malay Muslim & Indian Muslim area. So the food you’ve been having there is Muslim/Malay food which is different from Indian food. The little India you should go to is Brickfields & Klang
I believe little india is in Brickfields, Masjid India is like a muslim version of little india. Many shops are closed because it's Friday prayer time. That explains the plenty of motorbikes around. The shops probably closed only for a while though. Gunting is scissors. Good choice. Haha
Love your videos in Malaysia. I am Malaysian Malay who live in USA. My fiance is American. Took him to Malaysia and he loves Melaka. Food in Melaka is so very delicious. KL no 2..he said 😉.

We usually don’t buy drinks from the containers so much so from masjid India/chow kit areas. However fruit juices and coconut drink are ok as the juices are direct from the fruit. The drink that you had in Chinatown and the soya bean juice diagonally opposite the drink you had there are ok as they need to be boiled first first.
Was that Friday when you do this vlog? I think it was Friday sermon that we could hear from the mosque. If it is Friday, you will find most of Muslims's store or stall are closed during the prayer time. Usually it's from 1-3pm..after that, business will resume. Good job anyway! Stay healthy dude
Just subscribed to your channel bro... Just found out about it.. Cool contents.. Love your coverage on my country.. Malaysia.. Trully Asia.. Stay safe bro...

Jalan Masjid India or Indian Mosque street is mainly a indian Muslim area. If you want to experience little India then you go to brickfields which is near KL Sentral. The drinks are iced lime tea, Rose syrup and lime juice. Tembikai is watermelon. Gunting means scissors
Hello my brother chris , finally i found ur TH-cam channel.. just wanna ask where is my video scenes u and ur friend trying my sata popiah , like spring rolls hehe
Hi Chris. I wish I was there with you when you're recording the video. Anyway, the shops were mostly closed coz' you're there on Friday afternoon (during Muslim Noon Friday prayers). Shops (mostly muslim shop owners) were temporarily closed and mostly later open later in the afternoon. You're actually in a place call Masjid India (not really trully "Little India") more of a mixed between local Indian Muslim and local Indian Hindus and some local malay street vendors. The placed also has a sizeable community of Bangladeshis, Nepalis and Indonesians too. Whilst, in KL "Little India" is officially in "Jalan Brickfields" (Brickfields Road) about a kilometer or more away from Masjid India area (near KL Sentral). Anyhow, you're in good hands and do enjoy your stay and go ahead for an adventure of a life time!! btw, Ayam "Gunting" is actually crispy "scissor" chicken in english (my 2 sen). Cheers.
I almost died lol your face after that fish whatever it was has to be the best part of this video 😂 you always keep it real lol 😂 thanks for another great video! Many laughs with you! ❤
Afternoon Chris.....I have been watching your video since ,first day you arrived n surprisingly haven't seen you enjoying Chinese cuisines such as Wantan, dim sum, noodles,Fried Kuay Tiau n alot more 🤔🤔👍
Hi Chris Today 23 March Muslim around the world start fasting in the month of Ramadhan until 22 April. All food stall and restaurant will be closed from morning and only open after 4pm onwards until Iftar at 7.30pm to breakfast.Hope this explain.
Hey there Chris. Come to Singapore and I will bring you around buddy. Good to have bumped into a Singaporean in Kuala Lumpur. Can't wait to see you do your contents in our small little red dot nation. Cheers and stay safe🤝🏻
Here are some corrections to your mistakes and some information for you. 1. Whenever you buy a cup of drink, always stir before drinking because the syrup are at the bottom. 2. That is not the flag of Kuala Lumpur. It is the flag of Federal Territory. Malaysia has 3 Federal Territory namely Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan. 3. The flowers are on sale for prayer worshiping and not for decorations. 4. Tembikai is watermelon. Jagung is corn. 5. A little spicy is called kurang pedas 6. Gunting actually means scissors. But if you put it together ayam gunting it means chicken slices because it is cut off with a scissors 7. The mango smoothy does not contain sugar. The sweetness comes from the mangoes and condense milk. Next you should try the coconut shake 8. The street is famous for traditional Malay clothing. After the fasting month, the malays will celebrate new year of the Muslim calendar
That juice you keep seeing is Called Syrup, to be spelled "SIRAP"!!! its from sugar and pandan Leaves, its The original Juice of Peninsular of Malay's Land before Malaysia ever exists. Thats like first cordial Drinks of Malays, because fruits its not under Drinks category its foods in Malay's culture, but Syrup or SIRAP and coconut water and sugar cane water thats the drinks.
Hi Chris. That thing that you heard alot, the guy playing some ball games on his hands, is actually like a yo-yo game but Indonesian version. It is called Lato-Lato and originally from Indonesia. Around 2-3 years ago it became viral in Malaysia. The drink that you chose in the first leg is called asam boi drinks. Its consists of lime, lemon, asam boi (its like a sour snack thingy), mint leaves, sugar and salt. It might not suits your tastebuds and some others tok bcs of the asam boi taste. Just to let you know, when you asked the seller whats the flavoured drinks were, the middle one is called sirap, just a red-coloured sugar and water but it is so famous during kenduri (celebrations) and the third one is actually coconut water. You just missed that actually. Alot of coconut water has been poured out in the bigger container with some of its flesh and put in ice too. Thats why i think you didn’t recognize the coconut water, but then of course you can request a fresh one just like you did. Alot of beverages here are sold icy cold bcs of the scorching hot temperature here in Malaysia. Love your vlogs, i just came across your vlogs few days ago and you just got yourself another subscribers! Love seeing your humble attitude, keep on going man
