"Kokomo" is a song written by John Phillips, Scott McKenzie, Mike Love, and Terry Melcher and recorded by American rock band the Beach Boys. Its lyrics describe two lovers taking a trip to a relaxing place on Kokomo. It was released as a single on July 18, 1988 by Elektra Records and became a No. 1 Hit in the United States, Japan, and Australia (where it topped for about two months).

I'm 67 years old. I love these guys because they sound good!!! Its just plain good music by artists who know how to make it. You guys give the original artists a run for their money. I can't believe how close to the original tracks you guys come.. BRAVO REO !!! Keep up the hard work.

These guys are really good. Having lived in the PI, I can say there are numerous bands/performers just like them. Current Journey lead singer is from there.

it was not taught.... filipinos always love to sing classic songs as we grew up...its not we dislike contemporary music, it's just we prefer classics (40's to early 90's) as those kind of music are pleasant to the ears and not the type of just having so-called "music" of modern day artists with the exception of few...

Before the Reo Bros there was the Electros and the Friction bands in Subic Bay and Olongapo. I was stationed there in the 70's and some of you old sailors will remember these groups. They
were fantastic too. The Electros had a girl singer named Henry who could do Janis and Diana Ross like crazy. Ah the good old days. Reo Bros you are fantastic to say the least.

Electros my best buddy and I would go to Gapo, you are right about the Electros in the 70s lead guitarist Ernie Delgado is the best guitarist in the Philippines. Played Jimi Hendrix and played a non stop Beatles set for an hour and a half about a hundred songs. I was 15 then place was full of GIs all drugged out.

There were usually five Beach Boys on stage, and of course Brian Wilson arranged the vocals for five parts on their records-and these talented lads manage to authentically reproduce their recordings LIVE with just four musicians often doing 'double duty.' Even the drummer sings ROUTINELY, expressively, and convincingly while drumming. Bravo, guys!

I’d like to aurally juxtaposed this with another outstanding cover that the brothers recently produced: America’s Ventura Highway. If in that piece they made me recall a solo drive I once had along the Pacific Coast in California, this one brought me back to a drive with my wife and daughter along the stretch of the Key West freeway. To re-experience both, I would have to listen to The Beach Boys and America. The REO Bros just made it more convenient for me. Your versatility is indeed admirable. More!
