sadly its genshin and the story will never become that ambitious. I doubt anything that substantial will happen until we get to Snezhnaya/Khaenri'ah arc. Archon Quests by and large are just big filler quests about the things happening in those regions while barely pushing the actual plot along or giving any sort of groundbreaking lore/worldbuilding. Every region's story beats are the same, its just that Sumeru had a far better execution than the rest.
I have been theorizing that Celestia will be hitting Fontaine with a Celestian Nail for a bit now, but a lot of people don't think the map will drastically change. The past few patches, the map has changed plenty lol

When it comes to Focalors' origin I'd prefer to take Occam's razor and say that she's likely just the previous hydro archon' second in command who took up the mantle after the cataclysm deciding to take fontaine on a new course upon doing so which didn't sit well with some I do however very much appreciate your willingness to share some more out there ideas while also admitting that they're a bit outlandish and unlikely, quite difficult to find people who does both these days you know?
I personally would love to see Fontaine/Focalors be what Ei could have been We have an archon that is actually evil and maybe in trying to kill the traveler (lowkey hoping for a prison break arch) she breaks her gnosis and this awakens Celestia( also sets back the Tsaritsa‘s plans) maybe there is a cliffhanger where celestia drops a sky nail, but we don’t get to see the aftermath yet. Then I wonder, what the nail would change the terrain to, maybe salted soil?

My personal theory is that Focalors is an Oceanid who saw the opportunity to somehow overtake archonship by drinking the water of Amrita after they visited Sumeru in search of their previous archon, it would make sense with her being older than Nahida and it would also tie into the "purity" aspect of her character. Without going into much details whhat we heard about Foçalor remind me of Fischl. Unique personnality, she live for the ''spectacle'' of the courtroom, she knows not to make an enemy of the divine. I must correct you" All this could as well discribe Fischl if she embodied a ''Justice fanatic'' xD Fischl know shhe's playing a role and is aware that her friends just play along. We don’t have a clear outline of how archon successors are chosen, but even so, I doubt Celestia or whoever is the deciding factor of it all would allow someone from khaenriah to ascend to godhood let alone rule over land on “their” property. Humans are capable of becoming gods, yes, we’ve seen it with Vanessa, but as of right now even tho khaenriahns are technically humans, we don’t know if the rules stretch far enough to allow them to be candidates. As far as teyvat is concerned, they’re all humans yet it’s always “them” this, or “they” that, they don’t view khaenriahns without *some* prejudice.

I love your speculations and I really hope Celestial envoy would come and give judgement on focalors. The irony of it would just be amazing. But, I want to contest your point that it is Khaenri'ah technology, pertaining to their robotics, why they were booted off by Celestia. Ruin machines were already around for at least a thousand years because Guizhong collected a few for her to study in one of her domains. I believe what the Khaenri'ahns arrogance was their Khemia. Khemia was a means to survive for them, but it soon turned into forcing something against the natural order (creating synthetic human beings) and /something/ about the primordial ones. Since Celestia or more particularly the Heavenly Principles were outsiders of the world, they are at odds with the primordial ones and I speculate, Celestia do not want them to take the throne away from them.
Makes me really curious if Fontaine will have connections somehow to enka/watatsumi since the idea that the water sovereign dragon will be reborn as a human and supposedly that person is Kokomi. Or if we will find another dragon there that isn’t the “true” ruler of water for the dragons.

At one point I wondered if Focalors might have been involved with events leading to the death of the hydro archon. If “prone to hysterics” could mean she’s covering up paranoia… some sort of guilt…? Still not enough info, but another possibility: “Greater Lord Rukkhadevada (sp?) grew the Harvastakham to anchor the consciousness of the Lord of Amrita to the mortal realm.” She’s not fully dead- maybe Forcalors assumed power, rather than chosen by Celestia…? Still not enough info; and Genshin has had a way of keeping things so vague we consider all sorts of outlandish ideas and their resolution is more mundane (Baizhu).
The way I see it Focalors is arrogant but is aware that she's being arrogant. I don't think she's putting on a show per se but rather she has an extreme personality. About the hydro gemstone quote: I think it hints that she cares about the people of Fontaine in a way, defending herself and her people against (I'm assuming) our question. As for her stance against Celestia, I think she will be neutral against them for the most part. I believe she believes in The Law rather than Justice itself. So she may view what happened to Kaenri'ha as fair.

I get the overwhelming impression from Focalors that she isn't really up to the task of running Fontaine. "Living for spectacle" isn't a particularly desirable quality in a head of state after all. This is important to the discussion of why she isn't trying to prevent the adoption of Kahnriahn technology in Fontaine-she may not recognize the dangers in what is happening, may not know how the new energy sources the county's researchers have developed actually work under the hood. Alternatively, though less likely, as she says, "the tribunal can judge even her". She does not have the absolute power the other archons have to change Fontaine's laws, so even if she can see disaster coming, can she actually stop it if the other power players in the nation don't agree with her.
I hope they won't butcher her into the same caste of "oh but she so cute ! " as they did with Ei. I would love to see a genuinely bad archon that need to be killed or punished severely. Edit: One theory that would go well with Fontaine getting nailed is the current energy crises in their nation. The Abyss order or The Fatui could help focalor by giving actual abyssal energy which is enough reason for Celestia to send a nail.

I saw her leaked design, and I’m in love it’s by far my favourite character rn. I want her weapon, her and hopefully a few constellations for her. So is it worth skipping these characters for my favourite design?
Focalors will probably release in 4.2, so I think it's safe to wait a few updates. But if you want to pull for another Fontaine character, then save now.

Hey, can you please put in the specific quests the spoilers in your video come from, like Cat with the Blue Hat or Ashikai? "This video contains spoilers for the story of Genshin Impact" does not cut it. The story's so long and varied now, with event quests and story quests and character quests... Your video was really interesting but it just really really sucks that I accidentally spoiled myself doing so.
The new information I covered here came mostly from the new artifact sets, not quests. And I do mention the information comes from 3.6 many times. I usually do add what quests information comes from though.
@@SiliconOneFour A lot of changes happen in updates other than new things being added, and old content can be revised as well. Sumeru updates have been really beefy too compared to the other regions and it's just really hard to keep track of everything. If you referenced the artifact sets, just say so, and if you referenced a book or an archive entry, just do the same. Genshin also has a habit of scattering information across multiple sources and oftentimes with unreliable narrators. It's much easier to look up what you mean in-game if you state your sources rather than clumping everything under an ambiguous "update ___" umbrella. Sorry if I come across as really harsh. I genuinely like your videos, but you're just hard to follow sometimes.

Aren't all the archons elemental beings? Focalors can't be from Khaenriah if she's an elemental being. It's more likely that Focalors saw how powerful their tech was and copied it to be prepared to fight the next abyss invasion.

I think we should go to Natlan before Fontaine, going from Fontaine to Snezhnaia would feel more like the end game of the game story. But we don't know anything about Natlan so maybe something very important could happen there.
I believe Fontaine City will be nailed and we can do nothing about it. important unreplaceable pcs and NPCs are not present at the time if the adventurers guild and shops are even in Fontaine city in the first place. but the entire population of the city still dies. "millions" are dead. those would show us that Celestia is still a threat and still mean business with their indiscriminate nailings and helps set up us to stop the nailing of Mondstadt later on.
I doubt it. Based on new information the nails are never meant to destroy advance civilizations but rather to stop the flow of Abyss corruption. It explains why Kheanriah was left alone for Thousands of years.

I love your speculations and I really hope Celestial envoy would come and give judgement on focalors. The irony of it would just be amazing. But, I want to contest your point that it is Khaenri'ah technology, pertaining to their robotics, why they were booted off by Celestia. Ruin machines were already around for at least a thousand years because Guizhong collected a few for her to study in one of her domains. I believe what the Khaenri'ahns arrogance was their Khemia. Khemia was a means to survive for them, but it soon turned into forcing something against the natural order (creating synthetic human beings) and /something/ about the primordial ones. Since Celestia or more particularly the Heavenly Principles were outsiders of the world, they are at odds with the primordial ones and I speculate, Celestia do not want them to take the throne away from them.
Makes me really curious if Fontaine will have connections somehow to enka/watatsumi since the idea that the water sovereign dragon will be reborn as a human and supposedly that person is Kokomi. Or if we will find another dragon there that isn’t the “true” ruler of water for the dragons.
I'll definitely be interested in seeing you cover the new artifact set. I tried reading it myself, but I guess my reading comprehension was lacking that day. I couldn't make any sense of it.
At one point I wondered if Focalors might have been involved with events leading to the death of the hydro archon. If “prone to hysterics” could mean she’s covering up paranoia… some sort of guilt…? Still not enough info, but another possibility:

There is a line in a quest said by the elder pari "sacrifice to prove ones innocence." I have a feeling it might be hydro lore related.
The way I see it Focalors is arrogant but is aware that she's being arrogant. I don't think she's putting on a show per se but rather she has an extreme personality.
About the hydro gemstone quote: I think it hints that she cares about the people of Fontaine in a way, defending herself and her people against (I'm assuming) our question.
As for her stance against Celestia, I think she will be neutral against them for the most part. I believe she believes in The Law rather than Justice itself. So she may view what happened to Kaenri'ha as fair.
I feel like we're going to have a similar "court battle" like the debate in nilous quest or smth like that

I get the overwhelming impression from Focalors that she isn't really up to the task of running Fontaine. "Living for spectacle" isn't a particularly desirable quality in a head of state after all. This is important to the discussion of why she isn't trying to prevent the adoption of Kahnriahn technology in Fontaine-she may not recognize the dangers in what is happening, may not know how the new energy sources the county's researchers have developed actually work under the hood. Alternatively, though less likely, as she says, "the tribunal can judge even her". She does not have the absolute power the other archons have to change Fontaine's laws, so even if she can see disaster coming, can she actually stop it if the other power players in the nation don't agree with her.
I hope they won't butcher her into the same caste of "oh but she so cute ! " as they did with Ei.
I would love to see a genuinely bad archon that need to be killed or punished severely.
Edit: One theory that would go well with Fontaine getting nailed is the current energy crises in their nation. The Abyss order or The Fatui could help focalor by giving actual abyssal energy which is enough reason for Celestia to send a nail.

Venti was a wind spirit, ZhongLi is an adepti, the two Raidens seem to be some kind of demon? I don't think we've had a human archon.

Lol do you think it’s a good idea to start saving for facalors now? Keep in mind I don’t have some upcoming characters like, kazuha, zhongli and kokomi. I saw her leaked design, and I’m in love it’s by far my favourite character rn. I want her weapon, her and hopefully a few constellations for her. So is it worth skipping these characters for my favourite design?
Focalors will probably release in 4.2, so I think it's safe to wait a few updates. But if you want to pull for another Fontaine character, then save now.

"This video contains spoilers for the story of Genshin Impact" does not cut it. The story's so long and varied now, with event quests and story quests and character quests... Your video was really interesting but it just really really sucks that I accidentally spoiled myself doing so.
The new information I covered here came mostly from the new artifact sets, not quests. And I do mention the information comes from 3.6 many times. I usually do add what quests information comes from though.
@@SiliconOneFour A lot of changes happen in updates other than new things being added, and old content can be revised as well. Sumeru updates have been really beefy too compared to the other regions and it's just really hard to keep track of everything.
If you referenced the artifact sets, just say so, and if you referenced a book or an archive entry, just do the same. Genshin also has a habit of scattering information across multiple sources and oftentimes with unreliable narrators. It's much easier to look up what you mean in-game if you state your sources rather than clumping everything under an ambiguous "update ___" umbrella.
Sorry if I come across as really harsh. I genuinely like your videos, but you're just hard to follow sometimes.

Aren't all the archons elemental beings? Focalors can't be from Khaenriah if she's an elemental being. It's more likely that Focalors saw how powerful their tech was and copied it to be prepared to fight the next abyss invasion.
Humans can ascend to become Gods, we just haven't seen one who has become an Archon yet. I don't think it's impossible.

I think we should go to Natlan before Fontaine, going from Fontaine to Snezhnaia would feel more like the end game of the game story. But we don't know anything about Natlan so maybe something very important could happen there.

I believe Fontaine City will be nailed and we can do nothing about it. important unreplaceable pcs and NPCs are not present at the time if the adventurers guild and shops are even in Fontaine city in the first place. but the entire population of the city still dies. "millions" are dead. those would show us that Celestia is still a threat and still mean business with their indiscriminate nailings and helps set up us to stop the nailing of Mondstadt later on.
I doubt it. Based on new information the nails are never meant to destroy advance civilizations but rather to stop the flow of Abyss corruption.
It explains why Kheanriah was left alone for Thousands of years.

The knowledge to create the technology came from beyond Teyvat, which would make it forbidden knowledge.

I've already told you, I pronounce it the way it is pronounced in game. The demon Focalor uses the Latin pronunciation with a K, but Genshin's Focalors uses a French pronunciation with an S instead.
