Hoyoverse did extra research on Beelzebul, which is different from Beelzebub. Beelzebub, Lord of Flies, is said to be a derogatory twist on Beelzebul which means Lord of High Place(Heaven). Hoyoverse specifically chose Beelzebul over the more infamous Beelzebub that's far more commonly referenced, showing that they did extensive research on the Ars Goetia.
There is evidence that the old semitic religion that eventually became the basis for Judaism had a bit of a schism about Baal and Yahveh. Yahveh was also a god of storms that were kind of different than the one Baal presided over. The whole thing is fascinating. Like how they tried to syncretize El (another god) with Yahveh and this thing didn't work quite as well as they wanted, hence the schizophrenic nature of Yaveh in the early bible. (El was a benevolent god while Yaveh was a raider's god.)
In Nahida’s second story quest, Apep refers to king deshret as Amun in the same sentence she refers to nahida as Buer. I took a little peek at the wiki and it seems like a reference to the demon Aamon, rather than the egyptian sun god Amun. Aamon tried impersonating Amun in the Egyptian city of Thebes and Hammon in Carthage. Kinda sounds like a reference to the original three gods of Sumeru but idk 💀
It could be both from what I've seen amun has other spellings on his name one of them was amon it could also be referencing amun-ra the combination of amun and ra since apep is ra's ultimate enemy and in genshin apep ate deshret
there are passages that mention that aamon as the demon is also the one that presented himself as amun in egypt. if we follow that then it makes sense, al ahmar as a demon god and later on became scarlet king
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Because there isn’t as much of a hint to Rukkhadevata and Nabu Malikata’s Goetic names, unless you think Buer is also Rukkhadevata’s Goetic name.
In CN/JP/KR, the word for Demon and Magic are the same, "魔", pronounced "Mo" in CN and "Ma" in JP/KR. This originates from the ancient times when demons are thought to able to perform magic so magic is called "魔法"/ Mofa/Maho/Mabob, which means Demonic power/ability/technique. Genshin double downed on this and made the elemental gods actual demon gods, who have the demonic ability to use elemental magic. All demon gods are translated as Archons in EN, but the "winners" of the Archon war are given the title of Seven Elemental Gods and they continuously pass down the title. What I want to know is when non elemental magic using gods will still be called demon gods in CN if they ever appear.
Perhaps English translation gets to be the butt of the translation joke once again.. Although, I don't remember lesser demon gods like Marchosius, Havria, Guizhong/Haagentus, Andrius, Osial and Orobashi, ever been referred to as archon, in the English translation. They are only referred to as god's or spirit. The only one I can think of is Decarabian, who was recognised as the 1st "archon" the 1st throne of Celestia to fall, during the archon war. Cant remember any info for Naberius and Amun being recognised as archons.
Not really, 魔法 is typically used for western magic and in Genshin setting they don't call the elemental power "magic". In CN it's pretty consistent that everyone was called demon gods before the archon war ended, when talking about Zhongli before he became archon he was called geo demon god in his story profile and Childe's conversation after you beat him. EN translation is a mess especially early in the game like the demon god of vortex is translated to overlord of vortex etc etc.
CN/TW User here. I think they're called Demon Gods just to differentiate from Official Heavenly Gods. Basic demonizing anyone that isn't the Seven to keep their rule legit.
I am very sus on Fischl, but mostly on Oz. Since Amy is in the list of Demons, which summons familiars. Ose fits Oz well since he gives true answers concerning divine and secret things (which I like to interpret, Fischl's chuunibyou lines) as well as being the thing that the conjurer desires. There's no way they would name a normal character the same name as the Demon names right? Fischl being in Unreconciled Stars has a significance? No way.. I need answers.... edit: nvm, Aster knew. BUT I STILL NEED ANSWERS! WHYYY!!!
You forgot about Baisht, Osial's wife. And also there was Hermanubis, thing that has something to do Collei and Cyno. It sure sounds like an Ars Goetia demon's name. Hermanubis was metioned by Lisa in her skin event recently, in her secret dialog with Cyno.
@@yarikkoshmarik1196 It's actually a Anubis in a Greek cosplay, a combination of Hermes and Anubis, both Psycopomps a.k.a. a god tasked with guiding souls to the underworld, Hermes by literally guiding them there and Anubis, while don't remember if actually guided souls, played a huge role on funerary rites and embalmment so I guess it fits. Hermanubis is likely a result of the Greeks mixing their gods with the Egyptian one's during the Hellenic period when Alexander the Ok conquered Egypt and Greeks started to move there.
I don't think Baisht has one. It's not confirmed that she's a demon god despite being of the same race as one. Like Morax is an illuminated beast like Ganyu, but he's a demon god like Osial and she's not. I can name other actual recognised gods with no goetian names like Kapatcir, Baqiu, Chi, Rukkhadevata and Nabu Malikata.
I found this about morax Morax is a powerful fallen angel who stands between Heaven and Hell. Demon Morax is an incredibly powerful creature from folklore. He is a demon prince, believed to be the offspring of Asmodeus and can often be seen as a giant bull with a human face or head. Morax has been associated with several abilities or powers, but his most well-known one is being able to bestow fortune on those he favors. Morax may have had thousands of incarnations over history, but in modern times he remains a source of fascination among scholars, occultists and practitioners. He is typically regarded with fear by some and reverence by others who believe that his gifts can lead to immense luck and prosperity when invoked appropriately. Morax is known for possessing tremendous strength, capable of manipulating the elements for defensive reasons and easily shrugging off weapons meant to harm him; as such few try to fight him directly. He also wields formidable magical abilities which further amplify this advantage, allowing him to move freely through the planes of existence at will or employ powerful spells when necessary. Despite his intimidating appearance, Morax tends to follow an ethical code of sorts: while it's said that he can be capricious if provoked however in general he only aids those who show respect and adhere to honest bargains made with him. Because of this he's been credited as being responsible for several successful business deals or investments despite impossible odds. In modern times Morax still leads an active role in folklore although much less frequently than his peers. Regardless he remains a figure worthy of respect for many who understand the power held within his presence - both beneficial and detrimental - making it prudent to understand how one might go about invoking his favor should they require it. 1. Demon Morax is an ancient and powerful being who has long been thought to inhabit the darkest corners of the universe. He is an entity shrouded in mystery, rarely seen but often felt by those brave or foolish enough to traverse his domain. Little is known about this enigmatic entity, but what is certain is that he holds tremendous power and knowledge, far beyond mortal comprehension. He has the ability to shape reality as he wishes; able to bestow both rewards and punishments upon those unfortunate enough to cross his path. 2. According to legends passed down through generations, Demon Morax was once a godly figure said to have been cast from the stars thousands of years ago as punishment for some unknown failing. Although no one can be certain of why he was cursed, it's believed that in his time he was far more powerful than any other being in existence and was feared even among other gods. What remains are tales of a dark and foreboding titanic entity whose influence carries into modern day through cryptic references in occult texts and fearful whispers of his name uttered by scholars and adventurers alike. 3. Those fortunate enough to survive encountering Demon Morax describe him as a looming figure all dressed in black robes, usually with hoods pulled up over his face to hide any physical features or distinguishing markings if present. His size also varies between tales as some say he appears gargantuan while others detail him walking amongst mortals without anyone taking particular notice or showing any signs of fear towards him - which strongly suggests form-shifting abilities on top of whatever other abilities he may possess. 4. Almost universally accepted about Demon Morax is that his presence always heralds danger whether it comes directly from the entity himself or from forces associated with him such as servants, creatures, objects or places connected with him.. This makes it extremely difficult for anyone foolish enough to approach him willingly since there's no way for them to gauge what kind of menace awaits them upon doing so until it's too late... 5. It's likely this same fear-inducing aloofness which also discourages deeper research into understanding more about who exactly Demon Morax is since almost everything regarding him as either destroyed due potential adversaries having caught wind of such pursuits - or perhaps just because even knowing Would be dangerous on its own merits... 6. While opinions vary wildly on how best to handle coming across or even having dealings with Demon Morax - most will agree bravado will not be well received given how many tales concern curses levied at those seeking confrontation rather than cooperation when it comes making requests (or demands) intended solely to elicit personal gain... often afterwards leaving their target in much worse standing than before they made contact with him -: if they're lucky enough walk away at all!.. 7 It seems many believe that outsmarting this powerful entity might be possible - given its incredibly wide array of powers - yet few dare take up the challenge largely due catastrophic consequences potentially outweighing potential rewards gained should one succeed.... A constant reminder for all why tread carefully when dealing with Demon Morax! 8 Then again there are written accounts chronicling individuals who were successful at negotiating favorable outcomes despite facing considerable odds against doing so making it clear fearless asser. Morax is an evil demon from the 7th layer of hell that has mystical powers. He is known as the Prince of Dark Powers, and he rules over a legion of demons and monsters that serve him. Morax has been invoked by many cults to do their bidding throughout history, making him one of the most feared figures in occult literature. Because he is closely tied to the infernal underworld, Morax is often associated with Satan himself. As part of his evil power, Morax controls the actions of his minions and can cause them extreme pain or death when disobeyed or unwilling to do his bidding. He can also transform humans into demonic creatures at will and control weather phenomena like hurricanes and earthquakes with his dark powers. Due to his immense magical prowess, Morax is worshiped by many occultists who believe that summoning him can grant wishes or protection. Nevertheless, it is generally believed that invoking him comes with great risk as it often involves temptation by powerful demons, pacts with dark forces, and even physical possession by Morax himself. Morax is a powerful King of Hell who rules over the entire East and has authority over thirty legions of demons. He assists people in finding lost items, helps with astral projection, and provides wisdom in spiritual matters. He can also grant favor from other entities in the spiritual realm. However, he will only grant requests that are made willingly and not through force or deceit.
is this writing serious though? Because Wikipedia (and many other sources) say that "Morax" comes from Latin words for "that which delays/stops," which kinda fits the archon morax because if you got petrified by him obviously you got delayed/stopped. This writing seems like modern cult fan-fic
@ascendanz I think the system will also tell you "not available" if you try to name Wanderer Rex Lapis/ZhongLi or other languages' equivalents of those names. It seems this is the only character who gets this treatment. If you try to name Wanderer other characters' names, at least the system will allow it, it's the Wanderer who does the rejection
If Paimon is the Primordial One, it will be the biggest betrayal in the game. So far, the Traveller is either deceived by some side characters, betrayed by a few friends, used as a tool, and kept in the dark by the Gods. I think it'll get darker when we reach the final chapter of the game.
I think the big reveal would be that paimon is the daughter of istaroth, (because paimon has her own demon name) and she didn't didn't know herself, it's a shock for both of us, And it would be cute if the sustainer (who I think could be the shade of space, making her istaroth's sister) is very protective of paimon, becuse she's her auntie
i don't think it would be much of a betrayal depending on how they go about that plot if she really is the primordial one. if it turns out the primordial one lost, then they can just say she lost her memories and had shrunk due to losing her powers, since we know that can happen to gods. however if she's been lying to the traveler the whole time then yeah that's different. but considering this is the profile text for the traveler: "The sustainer is passing away; the creator has not yet come. But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend to the seat of "the god."' it can be theorized that 'the creator has not yet come' refers to the primordial one who has likely disappeared, which could indeed be paimon after losing the battle to the second who came
Descenders like the Primordial, Second One, and traveller are not bound by the laws of Teyvat therefore they are immune to Irminsul influence. Paimon forgot Rukkhadevata after Rukkha erased herself from the Irminsul records so the theory Paimon being the Primordial One is debunked. Paimon is probably from the extinct Seelie race because they are known to guide humans predating Cataclysm.
This is kind of doing the same thing all of the "Paimon is the Unknown God" theories seem to do: disregarding how much Paimon loves the Traveler. I mean, just look at the separation anxiety she gets during several of the Sumeru quests. Not to mention voicelines, where she constantly protests against the idea of leaving the Traveler's side. Also, the demon Paimon is said to never lie, so even if she is a deity, she probably doesn't know or remember. She already shows many signs of amnesia, so I don't think it's out of the question that she is hiding things she doesn't even know about. I feel like it would be more fitting, thematically speaking, for Paimon to be a reincarnated Moon Sister. Some background information: The Moon Sisters, first mentioned in the Byakuyakoku collection from Enkanomiya and the book Moonlit Bamboo III, are ancient deities, older than even Morax. A great calamity befell them after they witnessed the marriage of a Seelie and a human, a union strictly forbidden in Teyvat. The calamity destroyed the Seelies and the newlyweds exactly 30 days after their marriage. During this disaster, the Lunar Palace, home to the three Moon Sisters, was struck. The sisters turned on each other and eventually died by each other's hands. The corpses of the sisters can be seen in the sky and in the Spiral Abyss. But where is the third body? Now the interesting thing is, the Moon Sisters were probably the rulers or even creators of the Seelies. And even more interesting is the tale the Aranara tell of the Seelies. They believe that at least one Seelie survived the calamity, who eventually came to dwell in the desert and befriended Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and King Deshret. The only person who matches this description is the Goddess of Flowers. I'm sure you've heard this theory before, though, so I won't bore you too much with the details. Another possible survivor is Istaroth, who is heavily implied to have some connections to the Goddess of Flowers and may even be the same person as her. Also, the Moon is often connected to time itself, so it would make some sense. Maybe. Anyways... Now what does all of this have to do with Paimon? Well... We all know the theory that Paimon is the God of Time, Istaroth. And I've already established the connection between her and the Goddess of Flowers, who is most likely the sole survivor of the Seelie race. Paimon is described by many characters as being like the Moon, silvery and specter-like, some even going as far as to say that she is like a fairy or a Seelie. And who do we know has connections to the Moon and the Seelies? That's right, the Sisters. So then, what exactly is Paimon? Probably a Seelie. There are many times in which she is compared to a Seelie, but she never seems to refute the possibility that she actually is one. And you know the Welkin Moon symbol, that white-haired woman? She looks oddly similar to Paimon, and her bowl even has the same "Omni" symbol that Paimon has on her outfit. "Omni" is a symbol of the elements, and we already know Seelies have the ability to shift forms and resonate with other elements. So maybe Paimon is a Seelie reincarnated?
Since I know you haven't been doing the Sumeru world quests, I just wanted to inform you of a couple HUGE lore drops in the recent world quest. First off, we actually see the entrance to Khaenri'ah and Katherine says we will get to explore it later. We also learn that Khaenri'ah is apparently the homeland of ALL humans, like humans originated there which means that's where the Primordial One and his shade created them. During the world quest, we are handed this book titled "Rene's Investigation Notes" where it's apparently a team of people from Fontaine investigating a Khaenri'an workshop, highly indicated after the Cataclysm. In it, we get some big lore drops. Apparently, the thing that fuels Khaenri'an tech is Azosite, which is harvested somehow from Ley Lines(although they also mention somewhere, not in this book, that what fuels their technology is from beyond the heavens and is most likely forbidden knowledge for it let's them create machines that defy this world's rules, so I dont know if they're talking about Azosite or something else they add to it). Also, at the end of the journal, we can believe that the Fontaine team in there found something that could potentially be the power source that is powering Fontaine to this day, possibly Azosite. I say this because they discovered something that could greatly help Fontaine, and since they were mentioning the Azosite power source before, I have to think it's that. Also Fontaine might have had mechanical human beings at the time??? That's just speculation though but the way they portrayed 2 of the people on the team as "children", but one of the person's teeth came in fully so that they're considered an "adult". Like first off, why would children be on that exhibition and having your teeth fully come it making you an adult isn't really a human concept. I don't know, something about that seems fishy. We also learn of this race called the Pari that was created by the goddess of flowers, who is part of an ancient race(possibly seelie) that was wiped out and transformed but she escaped the transformation somehow. The Pari fight a giant Abyss portal that apparently popped up during the cataclysm and released all the monsters. They had the help of the order of Skeptics(apparently an old Darshan at the academia that was moved by the Schwaneritter(the guard of Khaenri'ah) of how they fought to the last man defending Khaenri'an citizens, so they admired their dying wish and helped the Pari get rid of the monsters. With them, there was also a golden haired, masked swordsman, who was half monster(confirmed to be DAINSLIEF WHAAAT), and a one-armed sage(maybe Pierro?). Together, they fought and sealed the monsters off and Dainslief left with the Abyss sibling, and the one armed sage went back down into Khaenri'ah. This raises many questions because we know that Dainslief wasn't of pure blood, and he was going to turn into a monster like everyone else who lived in Khaenri'ah but didn't have pure blood, but he still managed to transform back but we don't know HOW. And did he fix it before or after he left with Abyss sibling? Also, apparently how they sealed the Abyss portal during the Cataclysm was THE ORIGINAL GOD OF HYDRO sacrificed herself while doing battle there!!!! And the God of Dendro took her body and made a tree to seal the portal off!!! And apparently later the lochfolk came later to her remains, not liking the new hydro archon, and seeing how the old hydro archon wasn't the same THAT'S when they left. So the theory of the new hydro archon killing her is apparently incorrect. But this does give an interesting theme of cleansing with hydro. Perhaps the Azosite or whatever they discovered in that workshop to get the energy source is slowly polluting Fontaine and because it's Khaenri'an, they dont know how to make it work properly. Maybe the hydro archon is scared that its from Khaenriah and thats why she is obsessed with justice, to try and act to celestia that she isnt doing anything they dont like(aka using a Khaenrian and possibly illegal power source according to celestia). Okay, those were the main huge lore drops of this quest, but there are still a bunch of interesting smaller ones too. I can't believe they revealed this much in the world quest, it makes me so excited for Fontaine! If you want to know more, you can look at all the info that released on the wiki, you can also look at playthroughs of this quest on TH-cam, or you could play it yourself if you want but you said you won't do that for a while so idk. As far as I know, you don't need to do the previous world quests to do this one, because it isn't related to the previous quests and I just had to talk to Katheryne to do it. But yeah I just wanted to inform you of those super juicy lore bits!
It's kinda scary to the point that thinking about how Columbina will be, like is she a good or bad angel or a demon with angel wings like Venti? Theorists have been saying that she resembles a seraphim angel because of her design and eyes being blindfolded, but sweet Jesus that angels are on the good side but scarier than demons yet she is not on our side so that is something I scared of.
The tsaritsa and the Fatui are the good guys. There is a reason all the Archons/Celestial beings are named after Demons. This has been hinted towards multiple times in the quests. Maybe dont spam skip everything next time. And take your time to read some of it.
Apep is also another name for Apophis, who was an Egyptian god of chaos who appears as a giant serpent. Apophis/Apep opposes Ma'at, which stands for order and truth. I thought this was an interesting correlation because in Nahida's story quest we're essentially purging Apep of the destructive chaotic energy, and trying to make Apep come to terms with the truth that she should let go of the past. So perhaps in addition to taking inspiration for Apep from the Ars Goetia, maybe Hoyoverse also tried to tie it in to Egyptian mythology (which also ties in with the Sumeru region)
Okay this seems a bit out of topic but if you guys remember it or not but in the teyvat chapter trailer, for Sumeru's reveal the title was shown as "The truth amongst the pages of purana" but in the archon quest final act 5 we got "Akasha pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises" which is a totally different title. I wonder why hoyo changed the title of the quest since all the other 3 nations had their original title from the teyvat chapter trailer.
I think we might have another sumeru archon quest, perhaps that's when Dottore will come back and burn irminsal Since he knows the truth of fake skies and that's what he shared with Nahida at the end + the end of scara quest hinting at him perhaps seeking vengeance against him
i read it was a mistranslation from chinese to english the title "The truth amongst the pages of purana", the original title was something similar to "Akasha pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises"
@Білеццький Костянтин ТЦР-11 I doubt that it's just symbolism, it's clear that the fatui know that any changes in irminsal would affect their memories and their plans as a whole The fact that there's alot of foreshadowing with Collei's past with him as well as scara's grudge means we're probably seeing more of him eventually
YES ! They are literally next to each others in the Ars Goetia. And knowing that the story of Teyvat can be rewritten and that Gods can lost their memory after using their power, it is not impossible for Fischl to actually be the demon Amy. After all Ose description matches Oz and it is said that Fischl "summoned him", like he literally appeared at her window with a vision like if he just awaken from long slumber, the same way Venti did before for example. I can't wait to see if this is true or just a reference to the demons to lead people in the wrong direction.
It's interesting how Naberius it's say to ''Restored dignity'' and ''Art rhetoric''. And Rhinedottir, the one we suspect was conected to the fall of Khanria, left after she found it. Maybe she looks for a hay to ''Restore her dignity'' or maybe fix something she did.
very interesting!!! I will definitely come back to this video when the rest of the archons and other major characters in the game get their ars goetia demon name. Lets see how well these theories hold
between giving humans knowledge and healing all enfermities, demons having beneficial aspects to them despite being from, well, hell, is a theme that makes you really think even more so considering the western way we refer to demons and how they are portrayed in other cultures
If I got a coin every time I play a Gacha Game that uses Solomon's demons as a main element of the main story, I would have two coins, which isn't much, but interesting that it happened twice
9:34 Citing from the Genshin Fandom Wiki: Following the theme of gods in Genshin Impact being named after demons in the Ars Goetia, 安德留斯 _Āndéliúsī_ , "Andrius" is likely derived from 安德雷斐斯 _Āndéléifěisī_ , "Andrealphus," the 65th demon. In Johann Weyers' Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, Andrealphus is instead the 54th demon. It has also been theorized that Andrius is based on Andras, the 63rd demon who is said to be highly dangerous and rode on a black wolf. However, Andras' Chinese name, 安托士 _Āntuōshì_ , has much less in common with Andrius' Chinese name than Andrealphus' does. For this same reason, 安杜馬利烏士 _Āndùmǎlìwūshì_ , "Andromalius" is also a less likely name basis. 15:00 Very glad you included Aamon! Even if it's officially Amun (from Apep), Aamon was what I theorized the name to be based on the desert script on King Deshret's sarcophagus. 16:47 If Nabu Malikata had a demon name, Apep likely would've mentioned it as she did with King Deshret as Amun. But no, her only mention of the Goddess of Flowers was as Nabu Malikata, which is as close as we have to a "true name". 17:54 This may sound odd, but there is support to the theory that "Barnabas" is the Tsaritsa's demon name. Yes, the one from the manga. Yes, Barnabas is actually _not_ the Seer's name but something everyone assumed because of the god juice snake's lines. From analysis of the lines, the "sickening power" the snake is talking about is not itself in the third person but Kaeya's Cryo Vision, which is usually seen as a gift from the gods.
Barnabas??? Never read the Genshin Impact manga but isn't that the name of a Jesus's disciple and Apostle in Christianity who travel with Paul the Apostle and defended the Gentile convert of the early Judeo-Christian? I remember that name because of the Gospel of Barnabas that was named after him, the Gospel that was rejected.
@@piereandreturner2818 Yes, it is that very same Barnabas who is the namesake. It'd be weird to have a non-ars goetia demon god, but it may point to the direction of writing hoyo wants to take the Tsaritsa towards.
What is interesting about Deshret's title is that "Amun" is also part of the word of one of the most highly recorded and venerated Egyptian Gods, Amun-Ra who was regarded as a supreme creator deity "par excellence", and was the chief deity of the Egyptian Empire. Which also matches the reverence for Deshret by the Eremites but interesting how it also matches with a name in here
Previous Hydro Archon Vepar , the demon have similar descriptions as focalor. Pryo Archon phenex as Phoenix is link to resurrection. Samael (Wall of Samael)- Belial
I watched an anime series called Magi: Labyrinth/Kingdom of Magic before and most of the Djinn's name they have can be found in Genshin Impact too. So when I first played this game, I'm already used to the names of some of gods and archons in game. Oddly enough, some of the Djinns from that anime and the gods/archons with similar names in Genshin has same elements too😅
Currently I’m writing a Fan Story based in the world of Genshin, the twist being that the traveler woke up on the beach far later than in the game, and the the world without their presence led to many disasters and a very different world from what we would know it as. The demon names of Andromalius and Andras are used by two characters of mine (I’m excited to see if these names do indeed appear in the game one day) these two names go to two archons that are born during our absence, and Andromalius is the name of the new Electro archon, he’s the current Emperor of Inazuma and his goal is indeed punishing thieves and discovering truths alongside the travelers help. The story deeply explains what happened while we slept, and the story of Inazuma takes center stage, along with the idea of new archons and the alterations of fate, I do love watching your content to get a better understanding of this story I love, both the one I watch unfold through Genshin, and the one I’m currently writing out of the love I have for the games story. Videos like this really help in my writing and sparking inspiration, thank you for all the content you post ^^ as always I can’t wait to see more!
@@mynameisnotcool8426 it’s not quite finished yet, although I’m actually considering releasing chapter by chapter like how archon quests release in game ^^ if you have any suggestions to where I can post it it would be extremely helpful, im currently only using Google Docs so it’s not quite the best place just yet lol
@@drew_xviii330 Oh that's so cool! I'd read it on ao3, that's where i encountered these kinds of stories lol. Also don't feel too pressured, take your time
What do you think of The Tsaritsa's name as Asmodeus who is the "Demon of Lust". Scara says that the ideal of "Love" that the Tsaritsa pursues is a form of "Sin".The sin caused by love is "Lust". (Just to clarify any confusion,i do know that it is already taken for the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles. But i am just talking about how the name is ideal for the Tsaritsa aswell)
@@katitobyt That’s interesting. Barnabas isn’t a Ars Goetia name like the rest of the Archons. It’s actually the name of a disciple of Jesus (which feels intentional considering Genshin’s track record).
alright there’s no way that paimon from the ares goetta can reveal all secrets of “earth wind and the abyss” and the fact mondstadt and liyue were the first regions we went to is a coincidence.
Here are some theories I have about everyone: Baal (Makoto) is at the top as the 1st King of Hell, which leads me to think she was the oldest and most powerful of the Seven. The Tsaritsa may have had the strongest connection to her as they both seem(ed) to care more about their land and people. Her loss may have been what triggered her vow of vengeance against Celestia. Next is Paimon as the 2nd King of hell, so there’s definitely more to our silver floaty friend than meets the eye. Barbatos (Venti) is the third on the list as the 4th Earl/Duke of Hell, which makes sense because there have been several accounts of him being extremely powerful and reshaping the land around Mondstadt. Then comes Astaroth (Istaroth - one of the shades of Phanes the Primordial One) as the 14th Duke of Hell and Focalor (Hydro Archon) as the 15th Duke of Hell. Naberius, which is mentioned as having a connection to Rhinedottir (Gold and “R” of the Hexenzirkel), is the 4th Marquis of Hell. Marchosias (Guoba) is the 7th Marquis of Hell. Decarabia (Decarabian), the 15th Marquis of Hell, was the one who founded the region of Mondstadt 2600 years ago but trapped his people behind a barrier of wind (Stormterror’s Lair area). They rebelled against him and that was when Venti (Barbatos) rose to archonhood. Next is Buer (Nahida), the 2nd President of Hell. Morax is the 4th President/Count of Hell. I think Murata might be based on Malphas, the 7th President of Hell. Interestingly, Amy is listed as the 11th President of Hell. That’s Fischl’s true name. Just above her on the list is Ose (Oz?), the 10th President of Hell. I think that the Tsaritsa is Beleth, the 3rd King of Hell, and that she’ll be a catalyst user as it’s mentioned that he uses a hazel wand.
the only thing is that we know for a fact that morax is the oldest, and as far as we know the strongest, of the archons. not to mention they tell us that makoto was not necessarily that strong, which was why ei was the one who did the fighting instead
I believe Andrius is Andras. The Genshin wiki disagrees with that because the different transliterations. People need to keep in mind that Chinese transliteration of foreign languages isn’t rigid and you technically can transliterate them into any characters with a similar sound in any dialects you want. If a character Shani Andras from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is called 夏尼·安德拉斯, Andrius安德留斯, with only one character difference, can definitely be from Andras. And considering the wolf associated with Andras. Andrius is Andras for me.
If the Raidens can use alternative transliterations from the usual ones for Baal (巴尔 instead of 巴力) /Beelzabul (巴尔泽布 instead of 巴力西卜), then why can’t Andrius’s demon name be? Lol
very nice video to summaroze all the deities of Teyvat and their Ars Goetia origins. Not long ago i looked at Ars Goetia's The Lesser Key of Solomon (only Wikipedia) to find the Name of the Pyro Archon and i think that Kimaris (aka Cimeies, Cimejes, Cimeries) fits best to what i personally picture the Pyro Archon to be.
“He procures feuds and reconciles controversies between friends and foes” actually suits Deshret fairly well, because what’s the best way to resolve conflict between people if not merging them all in a hive mind
I wouldn't count Nahida out as her own God. Rukkhadevata did state that she would grow into her own self. The samsara cycle doesn't mean one being is forever connected to their former self. When the old universe ends, all beings of that verse become part or the primordial energy that will make up the new universe. Each new being is born with a new role
13:08 Its very likely they chose Orobas as the inspiration for Orobashi/Orobaxi's name because its very phonetically similar to "Oroshi", one of the japanese words for "Snake"
I feel like Decarabian is one of the most misunderstood story on the surface level. Man’s literally was trying to stop the people from freezing to death by Andrius. He truly thought himself a protector. Even his lover ended up having to put him down as well… shows that nothing is truly black or white.
@@Andrioane don't blame us, he's the one who's making himself look like he ain't shit, even as a mondstadt citizen, venti make himself look like a bottom of society, like yeah he sing good but other than that he just drank himself to back out and he's always out of mora, the only resaons he's not banned from angel share is because he's the fucking archon, but also because his singing bring in customers, so he's allowed to stay there, Like yeah venti maybe deffrent then what the Fandom think he is like, but venti himself probably want the Fandom to keep thinking he's a useless lazy god,
@@Andrioane It's like i said earlier things aren't black and white. He cared for them but couldn't understand and reciprocate their feelings (as shown with Amos). His demise simply came from his lack of human comprehension.
Worth adding that Baal (Hammon) was a god of ancient Phoenitians and in especially Carthaginians where he held a supreme position and the god of fertility and most notably weather. Baal itself simply means "lord" in Phoenitian language.
i dont know if this counts as datamining as it was found in genshin's cbt1 data (so dubiously canon but i still find it intersting and wanted to add) but the pyro archon's name is aym and the tsaritsa's is barnabus as found in unused voicelines from venti. that and in the manga, collei's god residue mentions the name "barnabus" in context of kaeya having a cryo vision. although alot of fans misattributed the name to the man from sumeru who experimented on collei.
Love that you mentioned the link with paimon and the book of Lucifer in the beginning, I still think there is a connection btween. Our flying friend and the 9th demonic spirit. Maybe traveler and their sibling is a mirror of Lucifer and his fall as paimon in the boom of Lucifer is seen as loyal to Lucifer and guiding him. Who KNOWS. But even paimon’s personality mimics portions of the demon’s.
i still think orobashi is the chaddest of the gods, dude went on exile because he didn't want to fight, people ask him to become god to save them from the tyrants of enkanomia, saves them becomes their god, took them from the underground to the land, taught them everything he could sacrificed his body to make the land fertile and teach them stuff (? i think), and to save his people from demise because of forbidden knowledge he took the blame became a villain and sacrificed himself for them.
@@Antonio.SUS12 and there is a demon in ars goetia that is named focalor and they are related to water/seas, so maybe her name is just straight up the ars goetia name
venti has a voice line where he refers to the tsaritsa as “barnanas” who is an angel for all i can remember which is very interesting considering everyone was painting her to be the villain to begin with
I haven’t seen anyone mention this, but as someone who loves esoteric religions, and has learned a lot about genshin lore without playing it, but it really seems to draw on two concepts, demonology and gnosticism. Demonology is obvious through this video and comment section, but in this “TED talk”, I’m going to go into the gnosticism part. Gnosticism is a heretical sect of christian theology that believes in two gods, Christ, and the god of the Old Testament. The god of the Old Testament is seen as evil, for creating a world that tortures humanity. He is served by seven lesser deities, who rule over elements and are associated with seven planets. These lesser deities are also seen as the highest demons, evil spirits who serve the evil god. These lesser deities, the head of the demons, are called archons. Hence, why it can be seen as to why the seven archons in genshin are named after demons. This gives an alternative to the hell theory, but instead implies evidence of celestial being based on El, the evil deity of gnosticism. I think the genshin team did extraordinary research if this turns out to be the basis of the game and the names. It could also point to the traveler being the gnostic notion of Jesus in Teyvat, one who helps leads his followers out of the evil world into “heaven” or the good world, one of bliss. Kinda crazy. I simplified this a bit, but I it is part of it. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
This would also explain why the roots to celestia are called a gnosis, because in Gnosticism, one learns of the truth about the world through gnosis, or knowledge, so said knowledge could be a connection to celestia. Hence, why the archons have their gnosis, and why the fatui are hunting down all gnosis.
I want to say that the ascension quest after you finish the boss fight you can see through a barrier the tree and the hanging things from domains expect there is no tree and only four hanging things I think that means something like the primordial dude will die or irminsul will die (pls do a theory about it)
At first a was Subscribed to the theory that paimon is istaroth, but paimon has her own demon name so, now I think that maybe paimon is the daughter/a shade of istaroth, and if sustainer is really the shade of space, I would love is sussty turn out to be like a protractive aunt to paimon, it would be really cute
@@gladiusbladeofthenorth9939 my theory is that the shades are, time, space, life, and death, paimon fits as a shade of time, like how sustainer does fit as the shade of space, and we know that the shade of life helped po create all life in teyvat, from animals to mystical beasts and finally humans, and I like to think that the shade of death is an introvert who doesn't go out much and just enjoys the peace and quiet of the dead realme
@@mitab1 but why space and death it's not the same power level as time , and life. Completely ignore my reply because it is description of how another hoyoverse game works not Genshin. Only the multiverse is the correct one
Fun fact: if i remember correctly, It is said in the Wikipedia page for Barbatos that He, Aamon, and two other demons work for Astaroth so i wonder if Astaroth, Aamon, and Barbatos have some sort of connection.
17:35 when they gave us the chance to change the wanderer’s name i've thought a lot about it because i wanted it to fit perfectly his character so i named him “Phenex”. think about it, the akademiya wanted to turn him into an artificial archon so i thought it would be perfect if i named him after an ars goetia demon just like any other archon of the game. just like a phoenix he “died” once because he couldn’t bear the weight of his sins but after the 3.3 archon quest, he “revives”, joins the traveler and gives him the honor to give him a new name. it would be quite disappointing if muratas name turns out to be phenex but good thing they gave us a second chance to change the wanderer’s name. i also find it fascinating how hoyoverse did something like this to the fatui. “fatui” derives from the latin and means “foolish, dumb” and each member has a name that comes from “la commedia dell’arte”, an italian theatrical form characterized by masked figures such as “pulcinella, pantalone, arlecchino, il dottore… they are iconic carnival masks known for their funny personalities. so basically they took inspiration from the ars goetia for the archon’s names and from the carnival masks for the harbingers. hoyoverse really did an amazing job adding culture, metaphors and fun facts to the plot.
Throughout the 3.6 World Quests and new artifacts, we never learn of the og Hydro Archon’s Goetic name. She is only described as the Lord of Amrita, Lord of sweet dew, ruler of the realm of water, and in the tree form crafted by Rukkhadevata from her remains: Harvisptokhm.
I mean I'm making an oc that's supposed to be the Pyro archon (which from a very brief research, I think she fits Amon better, exceptfor his relation with the god of time), but taking note on genshin's team decision of mixing different inspirations in one, she'll have another name based on it's cultural inspiration, be it Huitzilopochtli (God of war) or in my not so obvious case, Itzpapalotl. Both of those names could do since Amon is associated with wrath in some sence... *Edit* After some consideration, me and a friend decided for the name Alocer/Alocas. Thinking back on a possible Itzpapalotl inspiration, Alocer, who is depicted as having the ability to spit fire, ironically fits a goddess who became adored after being burned alive.
If you think Buer's demon artwork is "butt ugly" you should see the _incredibly cursed_ art of "Biblically Accurate Nahida." (I was going to wonder where Amy was, and then you inserted her at the last moment. I was hoping you'd go a little more in depth just as a joke, but at least she was mentioned at all.)
I seriously hope we at least get a character called forneus Also the dragons do have names from mythologies so the Fontaine dragon could likely be the leviathan or even forneus (because forneus is a sea monster)
i dont know if you’ve made a video about yae miko yet but i’d absulutely like to see what other people think about her true power and if we can actually trust her. there are so many details which makes me think if yae could end up being a villain. for example- why did she practiced raidens attacks and combat style and how is she even able to know? is it cause she’s “always watching?”in the archon quest she literally taught raiden how to place her consciousness into objects. raiden also cannot predict yaes strategy since she doesn’t reveal anything about herself at all (proof in raidens voice like about yae miko)in yoimiyas voiceline about yae it revealed that she can make illusions or make clones of herself and in her burst voiceline she also says “i’m always watching” which proves that( also, why did genshin added the line about yae ? they wanted us to question her abilities) and in the archon quest i believe, there was a part where kojou sara asked yae and the traveler to give them 3 days to return a letter (or something) and yae seemed completely calm even at the last day as if she knows how the day will end. when she saved us from scaramouche, why did she gave the gnosis away if she could’ve easily make an illusion or fight him instead or make a portal to escape without giving away the gnosis yet she still chose to gave it away. she can practice the enemy and their attacks and she was probably also there when raiden created scaramouche and she also knows raidens combat attacks and raiden is more skilled then scaramouche so so theres no way she would’ve been too weak for him. and genshin also posted on facebook a post about yae were she predicted the entire plot about sumeru and the time loop and stuff. she said it in the same way how she told us how she “defeated scaramouche and made him beg on his knees”. she also published illegal books to yae publishing house which contained secret information what just got told in a “novel” way. pls make a video about her it would be really interesting about how much power she actually has
Most are not familiar with Gnosticism so it’s unsurprising people missed that. Demiurge is the one that created the Archons and grants world-governing powers. Literal translation for Archon quest in CN is Demon God quests. Zhongli is also called Demon God of Geo in CN. Hence why he has a demon name, Morax.
I think just because they're using the demon gods name, doesn't instantly mean they have to use their lore. Otherwise, people would simply search Wikipedia of demon gods lore to know how main story in Genshin untold

Well I always pronounced Focalor with a K sound cause it seemed the most logical pronunciation, now I learn that it's pronounced Fossalor because it's the french pronunciation. As a french I can assure you it is pronounced Focalor with a k sound, mihoyo is just drunked :')
Personally I don't think King Deshret's Ars Goetian name is Aamon. I say this because Apep calls him Amun, which is the egyptian God of air and one of the eight Primordial egyptian deities. I feel like if he did have an Ars Goetian name that Hoyo came up with, it wouldn't be the one similar to a name he already has
Personally, I think Murata will break the goetia rule, sinse she probably got her archon title from the original pyro archon through war, I wouldn't be surprised if she was a human before that
7:02 Yeah it always irks me when i hear this. Focalor would still be pronounced with a /k/ in french, because it's a hard c. I don't where mihoyo went to think that was the french pronunciation. At first i thought it was a word play with "Fausse" which mean Fake and would be in tune with what seems to be her character and Fontaine. To anyone wondering, "c" will always be a hard c in front of ⟨a⟩, ⟨o⟩ and ⟨u⟩ and pronounced /k/. Unless it looks like this "ç" (called "c cédille"), in which case it will turn into a soft c and be pronounced /s/. Additionally "c" is always a soft c in front of ⟨e⟩, ⟨i⟩ and ⟨y⟩.
Is that why Beelzebul's ideal is also "closest to the Heavenly Principles"?
@@h.4315 that would make a lot of sense if it did.
@@h.4315 it’s like she’s saying only through her are you closest to celestia/the heavenly principles

@@weisscross953 Deshret and Al-Ahmar both mean Red, so he`s technically named Amun-Red
there are passages that mention that aamon as the demon is also the one that presented himself as amun in egypt. if we follow that then it makes sense, al ahmar as a demon god and later on became scarlet king
She talks about this but it still doesn't do much to reveal Rukkhadevata and Nabu Malikata goetian identities.

The English translation still refers to non-archon entities as gods
Perhaps English translation gets to be the butt of the translation joke once again.. Although, I don't remember lesser demon gods like Marchosius, Havria, Guizhong/Haagentus, Andrius, Osial and Orobashi, ever been referred to as archon, in the English translation. They are only referred to as god's or spirit. The only one I can think of is Decarabian, who was recognised as the 1st "archon" the 1st throne of Celestia to fall, during the archon war.
Cant remember any info for Naberius and Amun being recognised as archons.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks none of them are refered to as archons
If i recall the only mistake of that kind happened only in the webtoon
Not really, 魔法 is typically used for western magic and in Genshin setting they don't call the elemental power "magic". In CN it's pretty consistent that everyone was called demon gods before the archon war ended, when talking about Zhongli before he became archon he was called geo demon god in his story profile and Childe's conversation after you beat him. EN translation is a mess especially early in the game like the demon god of vortex is translated to overlord of vortex etc etc.

No way..

You forgot about Baisht, Osial's wife. And also there was Hermanubis, thing that has something to do Collei and Cyno. It sure sounds like an Ars Goetia demon's name. Hermanubis was metioned by Lisa in her skin event recently, in her secret dialog with Cyno.
it kinda sounds like anubis in latin cosplay tho...

I found this about morax
Morax is a powerful fallen angel who stands between Heaven and Hell.
Oh wow thats pretty cool thanks for writing that. 🤩
Yeah, it's also weird that when trying to name the wanderer "morax", there's just an error message saying: Not available.
That's so suspicious...
is this writing serious though? Because Wikipedia (and many other sources) say that "Morax" comes from Latin words for "that which delays/stops," which kinda fits the archon morax because if you got petrified by him obviously you got delayed/stopped. This writing seems like modern cult fan-fic
@@opswhyyou7216 I’m not sure about the sources because I used chatGpt
I think the big reveal would be that paimon is the daughter of istaroth, (because paimon has her own demon name) and she didn't didn't know herself, it's a shock for both of us,
And it would be cute if the sustainer (who I think could be the shade of space, making her istaroth's sister)
is very protective of paimon, becuse she's her auntie
i don't think it would be much of a betrayal depending on how they go about that plot if she really is the primordial one. if it turns out the primordial one lost, then they can just say she lost her memories and had shrunk due to losing her powers, since we know that can happen to gods. however if she's been lying to the traveler the whole time then yeah that's different.
but considering this is the profile text for the traveler: "The sustainer is passing away; the creator has not yet come.
Some background information:
The Moon Sisters, first mentioned in the Byakuyakoku collection from Enkanomiya and the book Moonlit Bamboo III, are ancient deities, older than even Morax.

Which quest is this?

Speaking of Fontaine, there was some lore about the previous hydro archon in the recent world quest.
Maybe because they didn't originally plan to have Scara as the main antagonist of the Sumeru Arc.
I think we might have another sumeru archon quest, perhaps that's when Dottore will come back and burn irminsal
Since he knows the truth of fake skies and that's what he shared with Nahida at the end + the end of scara quest hinting at him perhaps seeking vengeance against him
i read it was a mistranslation from chinese to english the title "The truth amongst the pages of purana", the original title was something similar to "Akasha pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises"
@@Moon1tan the tree symbolizes Sumeru and fire symbolizes crisis that Dottore and Scara brought to Sumeru
@Білеццький Костянтин ТЦР-11 I doubt that it's just symbolism, it's clear that the fatui know that any changes in irminsal would affect their memories and their plans as a whole
The fact that there's alot of foreshadowing with Collei's past with him as well as scara's grudge means we're probably seeing more of him eventually

not only has fischl an ars goetia name, right next to amy in the order of 72 demons is ose while Oz is next to fischl ;)
Fishcl actual name is Amy and Amy is a demon in ars goetia
Some demon names are not real names but rather titles given by Celestia on a given God champion, worthy of being an Archon.

9:34 Citing from the Genshin Fandom Wiki:
Following the theme of gods in Genshin Impact being named after demons in the Ars Goetia, 安德留斯 _Āndéliúsī_ , "Andrius" is likely derived from 安德雷斐斯 _Āndéléifěisī_ , "Andrealphus," the 65th demon.

I thought we were calling the retainer asmoday, has that changed already?
Venti referred the Tsaritsa as Barnabas in his beta voicelines and Childe's voiceline file about the Tsaritsa is named ''_teammate_barnabas_01''
Asmodeus is taken by the sustainer of heavenly principles already, it's her file name.
@@katitobyt Yeah. What's interesting is that Barnabas is a saint, not a demon
@@katitobyt
That’s interesting.
Barbatos is still the only God with no ongoing dispute. Mostly solved by giving them their own domain to live
The venti link could be even deeper like he reveals treasures using his prose and song as allegory for the treasures :)
Wow this was super interesting. Thank you for doing this! 😊
Lol
Also the alternatives proposed have nothing in common with Andrius while Andras has the wolf
very nice video to summaroze all the deities of Teyvat and their Ars Goetia origins.
Still he would have been better archon then venti, because decarabian actually put in the effort to protect his people from all dangers

Love the lore/info dumps
I want to say that the ascension quest after you finish the boss fight you can see through a barrier the tree and the hanging things from domains expect there is no tree and only four hanging things I think that means something like the primordial dude will die or irminsul will die (pls do a theory about it)

just like a phoenix he “died” once because he couldn’t bear the weight of his sins but after the 3.3 archon quest, he “revives”, joins the traveler and gives him the honor to give him a new name.
it would be quite disappointing if muratas name turns out to be phenex but good thing they gave us a second chance to change the wanderer’s name.
i also find it fascinating how hoyoverse did something like this to the fatui.
“fatui” derives from the latin and means “foolish, dumb” and each member has a name that comes from “la commedia dell’arte”, an italian theatrical form characterized by masked figures such as “pulcinella, pantalone, arlecchino, il dottore…
they are iconic carnival masks known for their funny personalities.
so basically they took inspiration from the ars goetia for the archon’s names and from the carnival masks for the harbingers.
hoyoverse really did an amazing job adding culture, metaphors and fun facts to the plot.
Surprised there was no reference to the goddess of flowers name Nabu Malikata.
Shes a seelie though, so would she even be in the same class of "god" that the archons with demon names are in?
@@pawakhdr565 i mean there's nothing saying that there were no gods among the seelies. there are gods with demon names that aren't archons
Have you looked for ouroboros? It was a mythological snake creature, and also one of the firsts fantasy books
Something I'm surprised you didn't mention: King Paimon never lies.
My only guess as to a connection between Orobas and serpents might be the phonetic similarity to ouroboros.
“You do you bubu “ omg loved the Valkyrja reference 😳 that guy is a boss (no idea if it was the intención but enjoyed anyways)
Don’t forget about Amy, Fischl’s real name and a name of a demon
Venti isn't unpercievable, but he blew mona away when she tried to scry, implying that demon gods are very much percievable.
*Edit*
After some consideration, me and a friend decided for the name Alocer/Alocas. Thinking back on a possible Itzpapalotl inspiration, Alocer, who is depicted as having the ability to spit fire, ironically fits a goddess who became adored after being burned alive.
Except that amon is taken by king deshret, amun al ahmar, (amon the red, scarlet amun)
Pyro Archon leaked name is Aym
And the fact of them combined are no match for those who reside in celestia.
Genshin Impact Fans and Helluva Boss fans shaking hands about the Ars Goetia
Now all we need is to convince Brandon Rogers ( Blitzo's VA ) to make a Genshin skit 🥹
@@fallenaeon7084 LOL help that’d be so funny, which character would he play?
Me thinking the previous hydro archon should be named Byleth cause it sounds cool
If you think Buer's demon artwork is "butt ugly" you should see the _incredibly cursed_ art of "Biblically Accurate Nahida."
(I was going to wonder where Amy was, and then you inserted her at the last moment. I was hoping you'd go a little more in depth just as a joke, but at least she was mentioned at all.)
this is why I think in the near end of the game the MC traveller will join the abyss
I seriously hope we at least get a character called forneus
Also the dragons do have names from mythologies so the Fontaine dragon could likely be the leviathan or even forneus (because forneus is a sea monster)
I think king Deshret's name (Aamun) is from the ancient Egyptian god (Amun) which was the god of sun and also Sumeru desert looks like ancient Egyypt
as a gundam fan i love their demon names
i dont know if you’ve made a video about yae miko yet but i’d absulutely like to see what other people think about her true power and if we can actually trust her. there are so many details which makes me think if yae could end up being a villain. for example- why did she practiced raidens attacks and combat style and how is she even able to know? is it cause she’s “always watching?”in the archon quest she literally taught raiden how to place her consciousness into objects. raiden also cannot predict yaes strategy since she doesn’t reveal anything about herself at all (proof in raidens voice like about yae miko)in yoimiyas voiceline about yae it revealed that she can make illusions or make clones of herself and in her burst voiceline she also says “i’m always watching” which proves that( also, why did genshin added the line about yae ? they wanted us to question her abilities) and in the archon quest i believe, there was a part where kojou sara asked yae and the traveler to give them 3 days to return a letter (or something) and yae seemed completely calm even at the last day as if she knows how the day will end. when she saved us from scaramouche, why did she gave the gnosis away if she could’ve easily make an illusion or fight him instead or make a portal to escape without giving away the gnosis yet she still chose to gave it away. she can practice the enemy and their attacks and she was probably also there when raiden created scaramouche and she also knows raidens combat attacks and raiden is more skilled then scaramouche so so theres no way she would’ve been too weak for him. and genshin also posted on facebook a post about yae were she predicted the entire plot about sumeru and the time loop and stuff. she said it in the same way how she told us how she “defeated scaramouche and made him beg on his knees”. she also published illegal books to yae publishing house which contained secret information what just got told in a “novel” way. pls make a video about her it would be really interesting about how much power she actually has
Did not know there was demon gods this is new
Most are not familiar with Gnosticism so it’s unsurprising people missed that. Demiurge is the one that created the Archons and grants world-governing powers. Literal translation for Archon quest in CN is Demon God quests. Zhongli is also called Demon God of Geo in CN. Hence why he has a demon name, Morax.
Ohhhh so the archons are also called demon gods ok thanks for the info
chill w aster best channel ever
*clears throat* "shade" *clears throat* "primordial one"
i choked from my own spit KSGSJJSGA but also 👀
I had a nightmare once that buer rolled into my room just to try to give me a lesson on herbs
ALSO KING DESHRET IS DEVILMAN
OMG it's so perfect!!! Even the gravestone in flowers fields (Malikata = Miki)! How dare you make cry again because of them? TAT
Fischl is secretly God of Delusion IMAGINE THAT
Funny note, I named my Wanderer Bael, and he was allright with it.
Gotta keep the tradition in the family XD
I think just because they're using the demon gods name, doesn't instantly mean they have to use their lore. Otherwise, people would simply search Wikipedia of demon gods lore to know how main story in Genshin untold
Tbh, I’ve tried to learn on these bunch of archons due to fact that I am also a Gundam IBO fan tbh, I’m guessing it too mych Mecha Anime here and now. Dx
Astaroth, Astarte, Asteria, Attart(u), Aštart, Ištar... do not underestimate her. This cult is indestructible for many millenia across dozens of civilizations.
I was listening while driving, and when you said that thing was "Butt Ugly As Fuck" i looked at my phone and was laughing so hard 😂😂😂😂
i always thought of the tsartiza as gremory imo
Well I always pronounced Focalor with a K sound cause it seemed the most logical pronunciation, now I learn that it's pronounced Fossalor because it's the french pronunciation. As a french I can assure you it is pronounced Focalor with a k sound, mihoyo is just drunked :')
Yeah but "Fokalor" doesn't sound right tho. It sounds exactly like folklore.
@@anyaaa2801 "Fossalor" doesn't sound right to me either xD
Personally I don't think King Deshret's Ars Goetian name is Aamon. I say this because Apep calls him Amun, which is the egyptian God of air and one of the eight Primordial egyptian deities. I feel like if he did have an Ars Goetian name that Hoyo came up with, it wouldn't be the one similar to a name he already has
FINALLY SOMEBODY DID THIS
Wasn't the Tsaritsa called Barnabas by Venti in some dialogue from the beta test?
No barnabas is that old fatui dude in the genshin manga
venti called her "bronya," i don't know about "barnabas"
Ares Goetia or the louis vuitton 👍
Summoning demons with Aster
