After completing the JMT - the only thing I wouldn't any longer recommend here is the Hiker Hunger trekking poles. The tips fell off relatively quickly into my hike, and this has been an issue with the last couple pairs I've had. Next time I will try Cascade, Montem, or maybe splurge on an expensive pair.
I was really happy with the Hammock Gear quilt. There was frost on the ground just about every morning, but there was no time that I was cold.

I think you’re back, but technically the BV475 is not allowed on the JMT….
Do the rangers actually check the version, nope. But if that matters to anyone, then FYI.
Love your vids, you motivated me to do the JMT this summer! I went July 1-14.
After watching your TRT videos, planning on that next summer!

Yeah it sounds like since it's a semi new cannister it takes a few years before it's technically approved. But since it's the same design as the BV450 & BV500, which are approved, it seems to be accepted. They did check my cannister, and didn't have any issues with it.
That's really awesome to hear that I motivated you to do the JMT! I was actually motivated the same way in watching someone's videos, so it's really cool to hear that I was able to pass that on. I hope it was a great trip!
Enjoy the TRT next summer! It's a fun trail!

I think the nylofume pack liners are more durable than the white compactor bags.

Yeah I finished my hike on the JMT and that seemed to be the case! No punctures or tears. The only thing I didn't like was how loud it was while packing my pack in the mornings. It seemed to get quieter as the trip went on and it got more use.

How many days of food did you find the BV475 could hold? I've used the 500 before split with multiple people, but looking into what would best serve solo treks. Have a great time on the JMT!

Thanks! I fit 5 days in there on the Tahoe Rim Trail without too much issue, but I will need to squeeze 7 in at my VVR resupply. This is probably maxing it out and will be a very tight fit!

Do you have a lighterpack link?

I do. I just added it to the description of the video.
