We Rode the NEW Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger at Fiesta Texas During Previews + 300 Coaster Credits!

- Hey everybody! Today we’re at Fiesta Texas to check out the brand new Dr. Diabolical Rollercoaster. This ride easily has the best pre show theming of any Six Flags ride with several different animatronics and some pretty high grade projection mapping! I was very impressed with the overall theme of the ride. Also I got my 300th ride at the same time as one of my friends got their 400th credit! The boomerang at this park is currently very rough and I warn people not to let little ones have it as their 1st inverted coaster (Since it has a 48" height limit). However! They announced earlier this year that it will be closing in the winter and getting all new trains and mag brakes to improve the ride experience! This is my home park and I'm so glad to see them fixing the old rides rather than replacing them, like the overhaul of Poltergeist. Glad you enjoyed the park!

No cause I litteraly almost had a concusion, I hit my head SOO HARD when they stopped the ride
The first ride I rode was the boomerang. I remember it so fondly as the one that started my coaster enthusiasm
I definitely have to agree, Fiesta Texas looks outstanding. You can definitely tell which parts they favor. Just like Cedar Fair.

@@lovevideos1699 for off ride shots I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max with the camera settings maxed out at 4k 60fps with HDR enabled. Then for on ride shots I use an Insta360 go 2 with the magnetic medallion necklace mount.
I may be wrong but I believe the original park was associated with Dollywood before Six Flags took it over. That would explain a lot of the extra theming and the larger than normal performance venues for a six flags park.
This is really nice how the they used the landscape to their advantage with this coaster this makes Six flags Fiesta texas the best in texas.

Yeah, Wonder Woman has been rotating its trains for maintenance/refurbishment recently. The one train is a bummer, but it means they get to send two trains at once and then when the last train is gone they'll have two afterwards until it returns. Crazy ride.
Huge fan of the furious four (WWGLC, IR, Superman and Diabolical). I feel very lucky to live 10 mins from this park.

You should definitely take advantage of your employee ID at other parks! If you know people, you can even get exit passes to skip the lines! I’ll be at Great Adventure mostly because I live only 20 minutes from that park. Thanks for watching!!

Kind of cool to see you coming down to San Antonio lol. I started watching you when I lived in NJ on base, but just moved down here in January and definitely like Fiesta Texas. It's no Great Adventure, but it's definitely a good one. (Except the boomerang, yeah that's bad)

Usually, it's Cedar Fair that does all the theming for the coasters, but from Six Flags? That's something that you don't see every day...

I’ve had a Buc-ee’s hat in the past without visiting Texas for it. I got a hat from one of the Georgia Buc-ee’s and lost it at Cedar Point in a Vlog that hasn’t come out yet

So sad I didn't get on Superman when I was there (park is really susceptible to winds closing rides) but at sametime glad I didn't get stuck on lift hill like train ahead of me did. Ha. But yeah, it's a fantastic park. Even their Boomerrang is good (when I was there.) Haha. They really maintain it well. The park just needs to be more cohesive and tied together. It's definitely a Six Flags park in that regard. No thought put into maintaining any sort of theme or flow. I freaking loved the pirate dark ride with it's theming, definitely beyond Six Flags levels of theming, and the Bugs Bunny flume was cool. The Road Runner mine train (designed by Alan Shillke) is incredible too for family coaster.
I still truly just can't comprehend the thought process behind the Free Spins. Just atrocious concept. Half spins with so much force swinging you, unpleasant. Wonder woman kicks ass at least. I'm still pissed lazy ass security, when Wonder Woman was closed, standing right there, couldn't or wouldn't let me dip my head under that queue railing at 10:45 to go toward the station 3 stepsand pick up my hat from the grass. Not inside the closed off "danger" area. I'd never do that of course. Just laying in the grass right there by footers. Threw it off station on accident when storing it in boxes. Was my favorite hat hahah I really despise rigid adherence to "rules" with no logic. Dude was trying to explain a good reason he couldn't dip his head and walk 3 steps into the grass hahah. Should have just did it myself but when you fly across country don't want to get kicked out of a park haha

thanks for the video. Its funny you say the park is 30. i was there opening day in 1992 and was on the first public train for rattler (2row from back)now its been modified several times since and the original woody was by far the best experience for the rattler.

I worked for a a small construction company that contracted with Manhattan Construction back in 1992. Manhattan Construction was the GC responsible for the park's construction. Originally built for USAA, the park was designed as a "musical show park" with little to no emphasis on rides. It only had a handful of rides on opening day, and the only coaster was The Rattler. I watched the coaster's construction, and was able to ride it before it opened to the public. As a teen, I worked at SF Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ and was (and still am) a huge rollercoaster fan. The original Rattler design was ridiculous... Let's just say riding in the back seat of The Rattler was extremely painful - even to someone used to riding in the "whiplash" seats.
As for Fiesta Texas, it was built with heavy theming to begin with, and I'm glad to see when Six Flags bought the park, they kept up the maintenance; unlike many of the smaller parks in the chain.

I like to watch those coasters all day but I just don't like to ride them. Maybe that bugs bunny water coaster. It's my fear of heights. I like the dangle coasters if they don't go upside down. I think it's the one I rode in Kentucky Kingdom. I'm glad you enjoyed the park. It has the nice waterpark and lots of shows and special events. Since it's mostly warm enough it's open all year round. I was so glad to have actually gotten on Cliffhanger on opening day, the thing is though that Cliffhanger still didn't have as long as a line as the Iron Rattler. And they took the camera off of roadrunner express.For Cliffhanger they added smoke and this Popping flashing thing for the queue line before you get the locker area.
I love this park and even if they dont add anymore rides i hope they keep up with the old ones and that the park continues to prosper.

I went to Fiesta Texas as a kid before it was called the Iron rattler it was so rough my grandpa retired from roller casters lol
Yes I did the original rattler and saw people getting off with neck injuries. One small child was standing with several park attendees holding his head straight. It was a dangerous coaster until they fixed it
I went to Tibidabo back in March. The older Metro makes the NYC subway look like hell, the newer stuff still doesn't quite match Madrid to me

That's what I heard about those 4d coasters is the weight distribution and spinning motion.alot of people claiming injuries and x2.
It is a very well-kept park with some exciting coasters but they probably only run 33% of any given day. I have never been to fiesta Texas and not been cheated out of several coaster rides by technical difficulties wind or slight rain. It’s what keeps me from going back frequently knowing that I could do a 3 Hour Dr. and have nothing open but the carousel
Oh man that is really sad to hear. I’d been planning to come but saw they had 4 or 5 coasters down for almost a month due to “power supply issues”. They finally show back up but this comment makes me nervous. I’m also a 3 hr drive. But this park does look so much nicer than Over Texas and I haven’t been in prob 20 years.

I was on the news for being stuck on a boomerang in CA Vallejo 6 flags. I've been to the Dallas and San Antonio parks. I would pick San Antonio over Dallas.
