Mine never turned green when I got blocked. It still stayed blue but it just didn’t say delivered underneathe
You might not have “Send as SMS” enabled. Look under Messages in Settings to see.
If you have it enabled, it will send as an SMS if iMessage isn’t working & then the color of the text will change from blue to green.
But not having it enabled is actually the way you can know for sure if you are blocked.
If you don’t have it enabled and it doesn’t go through, you’d get a notification by the text reading that it didn’t send. But since it doesn’t do that nor does it say “delivered” or “read,” it means you are blocked. If it stays blue but says nothing underneath the message, it means you are blocked.

If you *67 and it rings more than once and doesn’t send you to voicemail you’re not blocked I’m not sure why he said the opposite. Regardless if you have caller ID off if you’re blocked it will not ring more than once/send you to voicemail automatically. Hope that helps
The “delivered” doesn’t really mean you are not blocked, I know from experience
I turn off my receipt notifications so it doesn’t show read. That doesn’t mean they didn’t get it
Definitely not true delivered mean they got the message if you blocked it wont say delivered

How do you find out they blocked you without texting them?
look for a moon icon which indicates they have their notis off
So I have an IPhone and the other person doesnt and my phone lets me send the message but it’s green and never says delivered unless you have an iPhone so how do I know if I’m blocked?
Not sure if you figured it out, and I can’t answer your question, but I just wanted to let you know if the other person doesn’t have an iPhone, it’s normal to show as a green text

Either ignored or they haven’t read/seen it. If they have read receipts on, it’ll say “read,” but you can’t know if they have them (read receipts) turned on unless it says that

What does it mean if an iPhone rings seven times when called and then the caller receives a message saying the person is unavailable and to call back later? The messages still send as blue and say delivered.

When I go to text then in the box where you type it first says text-then switches to iMessage. The message goes thru as blue then turns green. I’m assuming I’m blocked

Nope! This no longer works. A friend and I tried this out. When I text her after being blocked it still sent in my iPhone as an iMessage and delivered under it but when I called her it did send me to voicemail. We tried it almost an hour later and it still sent as an iMessage that was delivered
