Hi mike, thanks for your great video. you show a protective film around your frame at 1:25. Does it cover all frame parts? what kind of foil is that exactly? Do you have a link? Thank you very much, I would really appreciate an answer.
Hi! The one I got was by bikeshield. It covers most of the frame, and is definitely the most extensive coverage I could find. I bought it from a third party seller on Amazon, but I cannot find it anymore. I did find a link to another third party seller here: us-swinnertoncycles.glopalstore.com/bike-shield-frame-protection-full-pack-for-brompton-p86420 (I got the matte version because it was in stock at the time, and the gloss was out of stock).
Hello, and thank you for the video. My Brompton came with a front wheel dynamo providing power to both front and rear lights. However, after replacing it with the 16-inch Swytch tire motor, I'm unable to connect to my existing front and rear lights. Have you encountered this issue? If so, do you have any adapters that can link my existing electric cable for both lights to the Swytch battery? There are two new round connectors available, but I'm uncertain about their use. Thank you.
You pretty much give up the convenience of the dynamo hub once it is removed. While I won't say it is impossible to wire, it most likely won't be worth the effort. The voltages are different, so you would need to wire in a voltage converter. The other round connectors are for optional accessories; in my case they are for brake power cutoff and throttle switch.
30 km per battery according to manufacturer. 20 mph max assisted. I’m finding on the road that I tend to keep it powered off till I hit a steeper hill so that I get my exercise in so I’ve never been able to drain the battery so far. I typically do less than 20 miles a day on it.
Hi, saw you have a Buzz Charter in the background. How does it rides with ebike assist compare to the Swytch kit? I got the Buzz Charter probably on the same deal as you. After that I canceled the Swytch kit order to save myself $1200.
I like the Buzz better. Its more quiet and feels more powerful and smooth. I think you may have made the right choice unless you have specific needs like I did.
@@MikeMu Thanks for confirming. I was hoping I made the right choice by cancelling. I just got my full refund back. Just the extra Air battery along will cost me $250 plus tax, which is about the same price as the Buzz Charter itself.
How are you liking the Swytch after a year? Would you recommend it?

Have been riding the Vanmoof S3 for over a year. So glad got an e bike. Theyvare great
Did you pay for the extended theft recovery service? If so, does that give you peace of mind? I always wondered about that.
@Mike Mu i didnt. The Apple Find My built in is good enough I think
Very cool mods on your brompton!

Yes. Specifically this one: go.mikemu.com/brompflame
@@MikeMu I have one and it looks more orange than this.
Love your setup. How much range do you get and how fast does it go?

@@gmanchung Yes. Well money wise, its clear the Buzz is unbeatable for what you get. Swytch has more versatility for $$$.
Does it still fold?
Yes. The way I did it it folds fine.
