I was born and raised in the area of Düsseldorf (around 5h away from Hamburg) but my Dad was born in a neighboring city and became a HSV Fan in his youth. So my brother and I always knew that the HSV is the one and only club for us. In 2018 we went to a game in Duisburg which was one of the most amazing experiences for us and in autumn this year, we visited our grandparents in Hamburg, to whom we hadn't have contact for a while. And i really have to say that probably the most beautiful things were the little ones, like flags, sprayed power boxes and sticker literally everywhere. It just was so fulfilling! i'm 15 years old and I'm a member of the club for over 8 years now but im fan since I can remember. I was to the home stadium about 15 times and a couple of times I was at games away. My best experience was the game against Hertha bsc in Berlin this year. It was the first relegation game and HSV won 1:0 in Berlin. it was a Thursday and I had school at the following day in Hamburg. I returned home after the game at about 2am because you drive about 3,5 hours. It was insane and so far the best experience of my life. One choreo that is missing is the one against Hertha in Berlin. You should definitely watch it it was an insane feeling standing right in the middle of it

We got there with a supporter bus and played 3:3 in an amazing game, with a lot of highlights. While a few "Ultras" (maybe 50-100 people) decided to let there anger out and launched smoke granades, the stadium stood up and chanted "Holt sie raus (aus dem Block)" meaning "Get them out (of our ranks and out of our stadium)" splitting up to let the police into the block and get them. After that altercation the whole stadium chanted "Wir sind Hamburg und ihr nicht" meaning "We are Hamburg, you are not". The people stood up to show the love to their club, while being painful to be relegated, to let the club and the players know. We are sad we go into the second devision, but we will be there together and we will rise up again. Remembering that moment always brings tears to my eyes, while being proud that in the hardest time, we found the courage to show love while being in pain. As a Local I also wanted to answer your other questions: First the name of the city. Hamburg is an old city, its roots going back to the 8th century. The so called "Hammaburg" was the origin of the city of today called "Hamburg" The hamburger story is also connected to the the roots of the city. Hamburg was an early member of the so called "Hanse" a group of city being united by rules they agreed on. It was a beneficial trading alliance and a security system, to give people save spaced to trade with each other. It most mostly salesmen traveling though the sea to reach more people to trade with. It should be around since the 14th century, i guess. Well, in the 19th century sailors from hamburg went to america, they brought a sandwich with them: a bun with a peace of minced meat gravy sauce on it. I guess the americans took the original idea and created their own version of it, with should be the well known hamburger of today. I hope i could help you with your questions.

I am a Season ticket holder since 13 years and a member of the club since I am 6 years old. HSV is just everything for me and more than just a hobby and some passion. But also out of an objective perspective I would say we have definitely one of the best fans in Germany! I have been to almost every stadium for many away games as well and you should for sure experience some games while you are overseas. Just an advise in general for going to games in Germany is that the Ultra groups of any club won´t like anybody vlogging in their block, so you should rather buy a ticket in a neutral area or get the full experience without your cam ;) Sometimes when I don't get tickets for the away section and have to be in the neutral area I am doing stadionvlogs on my channel as well so feel free to check it out to get an impression or hmu!

Actually that video had only old scenes in it. The atmosphere was way better as Hamburg was in the first division. There were a lot of difficulties between ultra groups the last couple of years so the atmosphere is still recovering a little bit but it's getting better from time to time again. Actually we have a little peek right now with about 50k people visiting second devision games on average. As far as I know that's elite in Europe and by far the highest number all over the world regarding 2nd divisions. The mighty hsv is coming back and we're coming back in style that's for sure.
I disagree. The atmosphere is way better since getting relegated. Most event fans gone. Also the emptyness after CFHH left was filled pretty poorly by Poptown. Now with Castaways, CDN and some smaller groups the support is way better than ever since CFHH left.
Since I‘ve been born. Standing on the Nordtribüne for some time. It is awesome - you can Vlog but in the block, telephones or cameras are not „allowed“ - the Ultras don’t like phones in the Block.
If you decide to watch a HSV game, as a HSV supporter i would suggest you go to an away game from HSV. In the big home stadium there are way to many event fans who dont take part in active supporting. But the away stands are always filled and fired wherever we go. Im a HSV Fan. Since two year i have bin to every hsv game. My best experiance maybe was a win against Bremen or Sankt Pauli because they are like our die hard enemis. But my first game in the volksparkstadion (our Stadium) against Bayern was a great Game to.

I am a Season ticket holder since 13 years and a member of the club since I am 6 years old. HSV is just everything for me and more than just a hobby and some passion. But also out of an objective perspective I would say we have definitely one of the best fans in Germany! I have been to almost every stadium for many away games as well and you should for sure experience some games while you are overseas. Just an advise in general for going to games in Germany is that the Ultra groups of any club won´t like anybody vlogging in their block, so you should rather buy a ticket in a neutral area or get the full experience without your cam ;) Sometimes when I don't get tickets for the away section and have to be in the neutral area I am doing stadionvlogs on my channel as well so feel free to check it out to get an impression or hmu!

Actually that video had only old scenes in it. The atmosphere was way better as Hamburg was in the first division. There were a lot of difficulties between ultra groups the last couple of years so the atmosphere is still recovering a little bit but it's getting better from time to time again. Actually we have a little peek right now with about 50k people visiting second devision games on average. As far as I know that's elite in Europe and by far the highest number all over the world regarding 2nd divisions. The mighty hsv is coming back and we're coming back in style that's for sure.
I disagree. The atmosphere is way better since getting relegated. Most event fans gone. Also the emptyness after CFHH left was filled pretty poorly by Poptown. Now with Castaways, CDN and some smaller groups the support is way better than ever since CFHH left.

If you decide to watch a HSV game, as a HSV supporter i would suggest you go to an away game from HSV. In the big home stadium there are way to many event fans who dont take part in active supporting. But the away stands are always filled and fired wherever we go.
Also: In germany its unlikely for the home team to burn flares. Its mostly the away fans.

Im a HSV Fan. Since two year i have bin to every hsv game. My best experiance maybe was a win against Bremen or Sankt Pauli because they are like our die hard enemis. But my first game in the volksparkstadion (our Stadium) against Bayern was a great Game to.
