i am always against freebies but i frankly saying that rahul talks about govt . jobs and all these stuff but we all know that according to our population govt. can never fulfill our needs .
so we have to push more in make in india ( bcz we are only making mostly military assistant )
we need more people like tata , birla , ambani and adani which can give jobs to us in private .
conclusion - i am not against modiji but i am disappointed for his 2 term output .
ex - under modiji aims and iit's which are built all of them built in 2014 to 2019 but after covid our manufacturing sector doesn't stop but still new iit's and aims not build .
As a citizen of our beautiful country i don't have any expectation from congress that what modi did in 2014 to 2019 they can't do that much in their dreams .

An independent villa in a decent locality would cost you in between 2 to 4 crores. If you are going to buy an apartment, you dont get anything less than 1.5 crore in a decent locality. Even if you plan out your strategies of saving very well, it is really hard to live without you having to take up some job in some capacity somewhere. Though a fixed deposit fetch you some interest money, the inflation is so bad that eventually that would just be worth less and less over a period of time. There isn't a fool proof investment idea that exists in India. India is perhaps the worst country on earth in terms of investment as they can print infinite amounts of money to give out as freebies as against to supporting someone who works really hard and also pays their taxes very promptly.

It means that the top 1 percent who fund the political parties and do not pay any taxes, take massive loans from government who collect high taxes from middleclass, upper middle class, small business groups. The government in all these countries provide average facilities to the society like providing alms. This has been happening for more than 3 decades.

After making a good amount abroad, they keep most of their money abroad and their families. Then, they return back to India without their families to make more money here and repeat the process. Going as a middle class student abroad is a different ballgame. He will have to suffer for a very long time abroad and even when he returns to India (in case he does not get PR abroad) because these Western countries are not as economically good as they were in the past (even though they have many more advantages compared to India as of now)

Most things Akshat said makes sense. Except -
    1. Middle class will shrink: not true, middle class will continue to grow given the population growth and the fact that majority of population is young
    2. If #1 is valid and true to happen, it is highly unlikely that the govt will increase personal income tax. This is evident also from the introduction of the 'New Income Tax regime' which has given tax relief to starter income ranges.
    3. Leave India - as someone who has lived in UAE and US for 8+ years and then returned to India, I can tell you that the phrase "grass is greener on the other side" is very true. Stated differently, EVERY country in the world is going thru difficult times and there is no "perfect" country to immigrate to. As someone who may not have global experience yet, you won't know the challenges until you experience it first hand.
For example, high/good paying jobs in UAE are far and few and likely you will will end up in middle income range with which it is quite difficult to sustain a family in the UAE.
TL;DR: Make money in India and move from middle to rich class in whichever legal methods you wish to choose. Your lifestyle and living conditions will be as good or better than abroad.

Just a thought about what you said about moving to europe, “the taxes are higher, but facilities are more”. I am in Germany since last three years. Here the taxes are really higher and the facilities are charged separately. Like you will get very good public transport, but fares are higher. The roads are really good, but the maintenance charges and vehicle insurances will rip you apart if you own a car. The healthcare is not that great here, but they charge above 500 euros every month. This doesn’t again include all the treatments, you need to topup to get other illnesses covered. And being away from your home is another problem. Its hard to survive with the language here, its hard to make friends here 😢. Lot of issues like this are here as well. Like our grandparents says, grass is always greener on the other side😂

    I pay high taxes. Yes.
But I benefit from doctors and healthcare available on demand. Yes, I pay from my pocket from regular checkups. Large expenses are covered by insurance. Super affordable. Good luck with that in USA, Canada or most EU countries.
Education is excellent if you plan it right from beginning. There is a reason why India produces large numbers of engineers, doctors and executives for the whole world.
Roads are bad. Yes. I travel less due to remote nature of my work. Also, the expressways and highways are super smooth in areas I frequently take my car out. I don't worry about speeding or tickets because I raised my speed 10 km above limit.
I have 3-4 maids constantly working in my house. Good luck employing them in the Western or Arab nations.

None of the top developed/developing countries are capitalist or Free market or socialist. All the top 20 countries are totalitarian and facist. It means that the top 1 percent who fund the political parties and do not pay any taxes, take massive loans from government who collect high taxes from middleclass, upper middle class, small business groups. The government in all these countries provide average facilities to the society like providing alms. This has been happening for more than 3 decades. So stop thinking and acting like middleclass/upper middleclass and start working yourself to become rich. First thing to do is live a frugal life, to save money more than 60-70% of your salary/income and then invest in mutual funds, ELSS, index funds, stocks, gold MF/ELSS, gold, low cost real estate and Bonds, then in the next 12 years you can become financially independent and a millionaire.

I had the opportunity to stay back as a NRI but decided to come back ..best decision of my life when i had children. I was one of first batches of computer engineering in 1991.
    1. Migration to other countries will not solve all your so called quality of life issues.
    2. Money is important no doubt.but happiness is a factor of many other aspects.
    3. Life is not only money. It involves lot of other aspects family, near and dear ones, relations, your village, society.
    4. All countries have equal share of problems in their own domain be it health care, inequality, opportunities.
    5. Health especially mental health is very important.
    6. Children education and their outlook of life is important. If your are obsessed with providing luxury your kids, u develop woke kids ..there could be exceptions.
    7. Running away from problems is the easiest route. There are difficult choices but will be fulfilling.
    8. India is changing and your definition or western definition of success and happines no longer a valid.
    9. There are good things in other countries, you go and learn them come back and make a difference be it small one
    10. You are just one among the crowd outside and you come across racists.
    11. You are a alien immigrant in a foreign soil a cheap labourer.

It’s disheartening to see when there are so many burning issues in India which could be discussed during this elections from both the sides i.e. Political parties and citizens but what parties like BJP talk about is Hindu Muslim (e.g. Modi’s speech in Rajasthan today) even after being in Power for 10 years.. I think it’s not the fault of the political parties… they are selling what the demand is.. It seems no-one (Masses) cares about actual issues which can improve lives of the people.

I am not yet a millionaire but will be sooner than later and I left India in 2013 and will give up my citizenship in 2-3 years. We are very clear and that it doesn’t make sense to live in India. • @PortlyPour
      @PortlyPour 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@nish5383 It is true that the Indian Economy will grow naturally and this is the natural result of an expanding population. The rupee depreciating to the dollar will make exports out of India cheaper and this will also help the economy grow further in terms pf GDP. However if Govt does not upscale the skills of the population by investing in the education sector then at one point unemployment will increase. Inflation is also very high at the moment which reduced the disposable income of families so even if economy is growing its not really helping the common man due to inflation. If geo-political issues such as Ukraine-Russia war, Iran-Israel War, Read Sea Crisis keeps going from bad to worse the oil price will increase and this will make imports more expensive and Govt will increase taxes which will further hit the common man.

@@nish5383 It would have been good if the 5 trillion GDP actually would have trickled down to every single person and would have reflected in huge growth of per capita income. But what is really happening is the money is going into the hands of only a few rich individuals. And that is not helping either the small business owners who can't compete with the big businesses or us, the customers who fall prey to monopoly set by these big businesses. So no, the middle class will have no benefit from these. Saving more, spending less and investing money is a must.

Yes, sir, it's 100% correct. We haven't received any tax returns from the government. However, to earn Rs.100, we pay Rs.30 in income taxes. Then, when we purchase fuel worth Rs.100, we pay an additional Rs.60 in (SGST & CGST) taxes. Ultimately, we're paying 90% of the total amount in taxes just to obtain fuel worth Rs.40. This is just one example.
Similarly, for purchasing items like rice, wheat, curd, salt, etc., everything is subject to taxation. Bringing tomatoes from farmland involves calculating the taxes paid at various stages: electricity usage EB taxable, farm land usage tractor taxable, fertilizers taxable, labor cost taxable, vegetable transportation fuel taxable, toll gate charges, market entry fees, and storage electricity charges taxable, but while our veg wastage is not accounted to deduct of taxes.
As you mentioned, we also need to set aside funds for quality healthcare and education for our children, as well as for the care of our elders, which also involves paying taxes."
Likewise, we are allocating a significant portion of our earnings to the government through taxes.
"Taxes, taxes, taxes-all are draining our resources and pushing our poverty rate above 80% of the total population, India is 140th position in terms of per capita income." also this govt dosnt have any economists or collective idea about how to control and feed to 140 crore peoples.

If we see the historical data for the past 40 years, the recent 10 years is the lowest fall in rupee value which should be appreciated, associated with huge improvement in all spheres of infra developments whereas in the video he is trying to show the past 10 years as worst, contrary to the fact.
Videos back to back portraying the present government in bad light with unsubstantiated data, at the the time of elections, not goes well with natural justice.
I am fan of Akshat's way of presentation and analytical knowledge but very much upset with biased stand.
Also thinking of ourselves only not bothering about country's as a whole for development. From where the money will come for developing countries. Is comparing with facilities of developed countries wise?
Still I hope Akshat to be politically neutral and expect reasonable answers for criticizing comments so as to correct ourselves, if we are wrong. Passing without response is not good.

Thanks .. I had the exact same points bothering me for the last few years. After years of convincing myself that India is the place to be for fast career growth, I finally gave up n left India with family in 2021. Pollution, ever increasing tax, bad roads , no health care, unemployment support etc etc. by the way the million dollar in most such cases is heard earned post 35% tax, clean (not inherited), but can be nothing if tomorrow one lose his/her job and left fending himself in an Indian city.

The video may be bit pessimistic (And also including some marketing stuff for some course or for some influencer visa and stuff in Dubai) and he may have shown his negative bias or displeasure over the current political dispensation, but overall he is not very wrong also about relocating to developed countries.
I live in Europe and money or career wise, it makes no sense to move here, and it might be net loss in saving if one had stayed in India and switched jobs every 2-3 years. Earning, saving potential and career growth is much better in India than Europe.
However, a lot of other things are top-notch here. Air and water quality. Food is unadulterated. Education for kids is less competitive, more relaxed, and stress free.
Roads are very much safer (compare with yellow bus drivers rash driving with kids inside or the daily road rage fights we see in India).
More practical sensible returns/facilities for the tax we pay.
Till now, I have not found any corruption in public offices here (in India, even though knowing local language, we had to pay bribe for everything from getting a death certificate to buying house).
Regarding healthcare, I feel, in India, we are spoiled for choice and have developed this habit to visit specialist for small issues and take anti-biotic. Queue and waiting times are reality in Europe but for life threatning and/or kids medical care is always made available.
No one can predict the future, and personally I am very optimistic about India's economy but, in India, at a individual level, irrespective of any govt/political party in power, it might likely become that one needs to be very wealthy with connections or have reservation certificates for our kids to get good education and jobs while here those seems to be much easily accessible to anyone without any privileges also and would likely remain the same.
Corruption, safety, cleanliness, etc. are improving a lot in India, but the truth is, it would take decades before it reaches the Western world standards.

Agree with you , Even I want to leave India as soon as possible before civil insurgency created by present government. Highly taxed 35 % tds from salary and 18 to 25 % gst when purchase. Effective earning is less than 40 % what we earn . Only communal people who are brain washed may remain here and not paying any income tax. To sum up what ever is done with us in last 10 years is horrible but high time for our children future as literate and general category have no place here and government is doing extortion by all means. 100 % agree with you Akshat..
