It took me several DECADES to learn the animation studio that made the cartoon "The Mighty Hercules" used key music from "The Black Shield of Falworth" as background score music for that cartoon!
Salter wasn’t remotely C-league. (Maybe you’re thinking more of, say, Albert Glasser?) Sure he wasn’t quite a Herrmann or a Rozsa or a Waxman or a Korngold (or a Webb!) but I think Salter was a better composer than some of his more celebrated contemporaries like Dmitri Tiomkin. I might even rate him higher than Victor Young who I like better than Tiomkin…

They also used the music for the cartoon Rocket Robin Hood.
@@impettus & also 'The Mighty Hercules'.
Thank you for sharing these amazing soundtrack scores
Enjoy music and movie but thankful to live in 21st Century with all of God's blessings.
This is still one of the finest "knightly" films ever made if not the best. The music from the opening credits isnt here, but its truly awesome.
composers in the golden age in C-League are far better than composers nowadays in A-League
