Thank you Sharon for this video! If I can suggest, can you interview another international student who doesn’t have any academic background in the UK? It will be really helpful to hear their stories about how they learn about the NHS, how they can be reflective about their experiences, or about the BPS accreditation things. Anyway, I am just grateful for your video, thank you so much! Hope you have wonderful days ahead:)
Hi Sharon, Hope you're doing well. Yesterday I attended a live q n A session of a clincal psy about dclin. And this video was mentioned by her saying how helpful this video could be to international candidates.I felt the same way when i watched this. Also, I am forever grateful to you because your videos helped me to get assistant psychologist post at my first try itself. You have no idea the amount of help that u offer to every aspiring psychologists out there ! Thanks a lot. Keeping posting more & more videos.! Good luck !❤
I'm doing my second year in BSc Psychology in India ...this was super informative !! Im planning on doing my masters in clinical psychology in the uk :)
Thank you for the video, it's really informative! The number of self-funded places is reducing every year and the number of unis offering them is reducing as well :( its getting more and more competitive every year goes by💔 If you don't mind me asking I'm curious if we are eligible for any ALs from the placement? Not sure how that would work as we wouldn't be paid for the job xx
Hi, by ALs, do you mean Annual Leave? If so, I believe each course may have it set out a bit differently. In my experience, we get the same allocation of leave with the same terms as home students. The only difference is that we wouldn't be paid for the job (i.e., even when we are working the job or using annual leave). Hope this helps.
This was so informative for someone that really wants to pursue Dclinpsy in the UK. To clarify, international students don't get paid for the NHS work either ?
Hi I'm currently pursuing my masters in clinical psychology in India and want to further do my Dclin psy from the UK . So how do I know whether my masters degree is BPS accredited or not ?
indian courses are not accredited by bps. But you can apply to bps once your masters is over with all your transcripts and certificates and they will say if the course you did was up to their standards or not. Once thats clearred they will award bps accredition to you and that you can use for your dclinpsy application
@@tanyamudgal956 conversion is for those from non-psych backgrounds not you. once bps says your institutions's syllabus is upto their standards (mostly yes as long as yours wasnt too bad) you can go directly.... but while considering dclinpsy in uk, bps accredition is the least of your problems.... there are so many issues to be vercomed
@@tanyamudgal956 nope.. you can straightly go to whatever higher course you want........ conversion is for people new to the feild of psychology..... which you are not
Hi I just wanted to know as an international student who has completed BSc Psychology from UK, when you want to apply for Doctorate in Psychology (Dpsych): 2 queries 1. Do i need to have self funding for Dpsych? 2. Would NHS will not fund Dpsych for international students? 3. Do you need ILR or PR visa to get NHS funding for international students students? 4. Can you not apply skilled worker visa for international students to do Dpsych?
Is it possible to share her contact number or Instagram id atleast?? Because i am an international student myself currently doing assistant psychologist job.
