I loved your ideas and advice about making it easier on yourself during the holidays! Having your meal catered, is an awesome idea! We celebrated with our children and grandchildren last weekend; I baked and cooked for days in preparation for our party and meal. Also, your gift wrapping ideas, were great as well. I’ve always loved beautiful packages and usually spend many many days and hours wrapping each gift to perfection…..only for them to be torn to shreds in seconds!! I’m now 65 and have (finally) come to the realization, that I too, need to find ways to make things easier on myself! Once again, thank you! Its the company at Christmas that is most important. In my younger days there was always to much food on the table to I would try and please everyone's tastes. Now it is just a nice meal that everyone can enjoy without going overboard. I always like to see on your channel when you are out and about during the day (daily life) and some of the outings you enjoyed with family and friends. I like a little bit of everything really. Decorating also and some family life included as well. You possibly see I skip a lot of the cooking as we don't eat a lot of spicy or hot spicy foods. But I am sure many do enjoy this. I personally enjoy and appreciate your channel at any time. After putting together a few you tube videos for my garden I realize how much filming and the editing goes into getting enough to put together an episode. Just go with what your heart tells you otherwise the pressure will get to much and it will show in your videos. Life changes and of course your video content will change over time as well. This is a natural progression of life itself. 2 Orchids is one of my favourite channels but I do like variety and go between channels. Time only allows so much viewing time but yours often wins out. I'm sure one day I will go back and watch some of the older videos I have not had time to watch. Have a lovely Christmas with your family.

I liked the channel better before the changes, when you were a typical vlogging channel, with the favorites, the friends, what's actually going on with you, etc. I like seeing finished decor, but not so much the act of decorating, itself, lol. Some ideas: It would be nice to see what products you choose in grocery stores. Favorite bedding, such as sheets, pillows, blankets, etc. Cleaning products that are your favorite How to organize, and prepare for guest.

So specifically as a viewer what I’d like to see…please keep doing what you’re doing! I’m a millennial who found you in the Fall of this year (wish I’d found you sooner!) and watching your strong family as well as friend values is inspiring. Great Video. I totally didn't mind a long video! I can't believe that 2022 is coming to an end. I'm almost 55, separated, I have 2 teen daughters (17 & 19), I work two jobs and life is not easy and I am ok with that! Life management vids would be nice. I Always enjoy cooking vids, sharing hosting events like you've done in the past, show the items that you offer on the 2orchids website! Talking about life issues and encouragement. There is so much sharing of everything good in life and it's greatly appreciated because watching others enjoy their lives after a long work day is very relaxing to me!
I had to laugh at you talking about making wrapping more efficient for ourselves when the family grows... I too, started using gift bags.... then on Christmas my then, 7 year old grandson said "Grandma, next year can you not use gift bags.... because I love the sound of tearing wrapping paper open!" haha He is 28 now and I still wrap his gift!

Love the way you and Mark work together on wrapping and getting gifs. We won’t be doing anything for Christmas Eve but I am going low key on Christmas Day. I am going to have Spaghetti, bread and then bought desserts. I have a lot of health issues that I can’t stay in the kitchen very long. It was a good message about difficult times for some during the holidays. I love your blogs so much.... but I do feel a little empty when I see your life is surrounded by happy , healthy children, beautiful grandchildren... a wonderful group of couple friends, activities, events... just a beautiful life. And you are so deserving and so blessed. But for people who are alone, without family near, friends have all moved away... it is a much different season. I know because I am there. But I am grateful, I am healthy, doing fine financially, and I can get on a plane and spend Christmas with them. But we come home to an empty house.
Karen, thank you for addressing suicide on your blog today. I am in one of those families that have gone thru that trauma. 3 years ago my youngest daughter who was 32 came home from work to find her husband in their bedroom that had shot himself in the head. Their 4 children all under 10 had been downstairs with their grandpa and knew nothing about what their daddy had done that day. No one heard anything because he used a silencer. Grandpa had old told them that daddy must not be feeling good because he had stayed home to sleep. None of the kids bothered him or they would have found him and seen what he’d done. My poor daughter found him. Their lives changed forever as you can imagine. They moved to Palmdale to be close to me and my other daughters so we could help them. It has been hard for all of us but God made sure she got a great job and they found a cute little house 5 minutes from me. Their lives moved on somehow but it is never easy. He was only 33.
I loved the vlog! It tickled me so much to see you got our card. I love your channel. We traveled around New England this past October to enjoy the Fall foliage and it was so beautiful so I shared some photos on our Christmas card this year. We traveled to Italy in November of 2019 it was so romantic the food was delicious and the sweets are out of this world. Merry Christmas 🎄

i like Christmas with the Kranks &the movie the Grinch with Jim Carry. my x sis in law lost her 1st son {my nephew}many yrs ago. about 2 yrs ago lost her other son who was grown, from a diff marraige to suicide. i always go down 1or 2lbs, gain 3- 4, down 1, gain 3, basically im gaining. i dont know what to make just for myself on Christmas day. i dont like to make too much either. my dads birthday would have been Christmas Eve! I dont have a tv to watch, i would of loved to play those Christmas scenes on it. we have been having nice cool weather but now Christmas Eve &Day will be around 82! I dont have many Christmas season or holiday clothes, blouses. i realized, need to find something red or snowy white. Just keep filming how you are, you do such a good job with your ideas on what you like to share. im glad you will through in an extra video here &there. xoxo.

They need to be other places sometimes so we get together before Christmas, I also cater dinner so I’m not in the kitchen, everyone likes it, they enjoy a little less stressful time together. Its the company at Christmas that is most important. In my younger days there was always to much food on the table to I would try and please everyone's tastes. Now it is just a nice meal that everyone can enjoy without going overboard.
I always like to see on your channel when you are out and about during the day (daily life) and some of the outings you enjoyed with family and friends.
I like a little bit of everything really. Decorating also and some family life included as well.
You possibly see I skip a lot of the cooking as we don't eat a lot of spicy or hot spicy foods. But I am sure many do enjoy this.
I personally enjoy and appreciate your channel at any time. After putting together a few you tube videos for my garden I realize how much filming and the editing goes into getting enough to put together an episode.
Just go with what your heart tells you otherwise the pressure will get to much and it will show in your videos. Life changes and of course your video content will change over time as well. This is a natural progression of life itself.
2 Orchids is one of my favourite channels but I do like variety and go between channels. Time only allows so much viewing time but yours often wins out. I'm sure one day I will go back and watch some of the older videos I have not had time to watch. Have a lovely Christmas with your family.

I liked the channel better before the changes, when you were a typical vlogging channel, with the favorites, the friends, what's actually going on with you, etc. I like seeing finished decor, but not so much the act of decorating, itself, lol. I’m a millennial who found you in the Fall of this year (wish I’d found you sooner!) and watching your strong family as well as friend values is inspiring. Great Video. I totally didn't mind a long video! I can't believe that 2022 is coming to an end. I'm almost 55, separated, I have 2 teen daughters (17 & 19), I work two jobs and life is not easy and I am ok with that! Life management vids would be nice. I Always enjoy cooking vids, sharing hosting events like you've done in the past, show the items that you offer on the 2orchids website! Talking about life issues and encouragement. There is so much sharing of everything good in life and it's greatly appreciated because watching others enjoy their lives after a long work day is very relaxing to me!

I had to laugh at you talking about making wrapping more efficient for ourselves when the family grows... I too, started using gift bags.... then on Christmas my then, 7 year old grandson said "Grandma, next year can you not use gift bags.... because I love the sound of tearing wrapping paper open!" haha He is 28 now and I still wrap his gift!
Karen and Lauren, I have thoroughly enjoyed Vlogmas with you two! I love your nails Karen and I forgot to tell you I think your hair cut is gorgeous on you. Love the way you and Mark work together on wrapping and getting gifs. We won’t be doing anything for Christmas Eve but I am going low key on Christmas Day. I am going to have Spaghetti, bread and then bought desserts. I have a lot of health issues that I can’t stay in the kitchen very long.

It was a good message about difficult times for some during the holidays. I love your blogs so much.... but I do feel a little empty when I see your life is surrounded by happy , healthy children, beautiful grandchildren... a wonderful group of couple friends, activities, events... just a beautiful life. And you are so deserving and so blessed. But for people who are alone, without family near, friends have all moved away... it is a much different season. I know because I am there. But I am grateful, I am healthy, doing fine financially, and I can get on a plane and spend Christmas with them. But we come home to an empty house.
Karen, thank you for addressing suicide on your blog today. I am in one of those families that have gone thru that trauma. 3 years ago my youngest daughter who was 32 came home from work to find her husband in their bedroom that had shot himself in the head. Their 4 children all under 10 had been downstairs with their grandpa and knew nothing about what their daddy had done that day. No one heard anything because he used a silencer. Grandpa had old told them that daddy must not be feeling good because he had stayed home to sleep. None of the kids bothered him or they would have found him and seen what he’d done. My poor daughter found him. Their lives changed forever as you can imagine. They moved to Palmdale to be close to me and my other daughters so we could help them. It has been hard for all of us but God made sure she got a great job and they found a cute little house 5 minutes from me. Their lives moved on somehow but it is never easy. He was only 33.

We traveled around New England this past October to enjoy the Fall foliage and it was so beautiful so I shared some photos on our Christmas card this year. i like Christmas with the Kranks &the movie the Grinch with Jim Carry. my x sis in law lost her 1st son {my nephew}many yrs ago. about 2 yrs ago lost her other son who was grown, from a diff marraige to suicide. i always go down 1or 2lbs, gain 3- 4, down 1, gain 3, basically im gaining. i dont know what to make just for myself on Christmas day. i dont like to make too much either. my dads birthday would have been Christmas Eve! I dont have a tv to watch, i would of loved to play those Christmas scenes on it. we have been having nice cool weather but now Christmas Eve &Day will be around 82! I dont have many Christmas season or holiday clothes, blouses. i realized, need to find something red or snowy white. Just keep filming how you are, you do such a good job with your ideas on what you like to share. im glad you will through in an extra video here &there. xoxo.
