How to change time on Japanese Internavi Premium

- This is how to change the time on a Japanese Internavi stereo where the time is set by the GPS. There are no default options where you can do this, you need to get to the secret menus.
Note - Everyone keeps asking but you CANT change the language. You need to buy a new headunit if you want a different language.

The car in this video is a 2007 Honda Civic FD2 Type R. But this method will hopefully work for any Internavi that looks like this.
Apologies for the sound quality, just discovered when I made this video that my new phone has a problem with the mic when recording videos.
Also I have confirmed that you can turn on the reversing camera with this method while driving :)
I no longer have this Type R, I now have a Japanese Golf R32, the stereo in this car has an option for language in the settings ! Imagine that.
Honda, take note.
You CANT change the language !!! Its NOT POSSIBLE. You need to buy a NEW HEADUNIT. Can everyone please stop asking now, k thx :)

Great video. I've got a 2005 Honda accord-s. To change my time, I had to press and hold buttons 2,3,5 & audio. Rest is same steps as per your video. Thanks a lot.

Thank you. You helped me a lot with this. I had accepted that it was not possible to change the time but your help was a blessing after I have been pressing buttons since I have the honda stream for 4 years trying to figure it out.
I will love to get the language changed but I think it is no possible so in that case I want to learn the language or at least the basic commands.
I already know the voice commands to turn on the radio, tv, play mp3 music, play cd, and turn on the Air conditioner but I want to learn more things like making calls using voice commands etc.

hello i watched the video and downloaded a "GOOGLE TRANSLATE " app this is very helpful take pic of the Japanese witting it translates to english it does have other languages as well

It worked on my 2007 Honda Accord (Japanese) but the secret menu #2 wont open up after I hold down on the menu button in my 2012 Honda Accord (Japanese)

I recently got a new Honda with another Internavi, I was able to connect my phone via bluetooth but I couldnt get the phone to play audio through the Internavi.
It appears you can only use the Internavi interface to make phone calls from the bluetooth connected phone.
I fixed all my problems with the Internavi by replacing it with a new headunit :)

+Abdul Ali No sorry. I did manage to connect my phone to it, but then couldnt work out how to do anything else.
If you can be bothered: you can use the google translate phone app to try figure out what the menu text says. eg. point the phone at a menu button and let Google translate it for you. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt, sometimes you just get one word which is enough to tell you what that menu is for.

Pretty sure it wont drain the battery. Dont think you can turn it off, but I dont think it does anything if you dont use it.

+veasna keo Good question :) It is possible but I cant remember exactly and I dont have this car anymore to confirm. I recall it was in a menu easily accessible off one of the main buttons. There is a screen that has about 3 little volume sliders, I think it was the far right slider, I turned that down to zero and never heard the little Japanese lady again.

I havent had this stereo for years now, but id say if it can it will be very limited formats.
It can probably pick up TV if you have the right frequencies in your country and a TV antenna.

Susakol Ebata I dont believe its possible at all. I think the only way to get rid of the Japanese is to replace the stereo. Always seemed incredibly short sighted of Honda to me. It cant be hard to include a language option when designing these things. Especially when they export so many cars to different countries.
