- Margaritaville at Sea stopped operations in May to do a major overhaul of some of the elements it received bad reviews and social media coverage on. I hop on a few months later to engage in their revamped cruise experience. This cruise was a two night trip to the ship's one and only stop in Freeport, Bahamas. Seems like you enjoy cruising so I would say yes give it a try. They have a new ship coming out in June.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
My first and only cruise so far was a themed cruise on RCCL (Star Trek: the Cruise.) Even some seasoned cruisers say ST:TC spoiled them for other cruises.
But fewer and fewer vloggers are hatin' on MAS.
It's a 2-night vacation, to somewhere else, with food. Hotels here on Long Island are around $250. (Besides the cost to fly, and stay overnight, and port fees....I'm not discarding this for a quick getaway!)
I would say if you are in the West Palm Beach area then hop on the ship. I wouldn’t book a flight to the older ship…maybe the new one Islander as the enhancements look very nice.
I have GOTTA get into the habit of travel SOLO DOLO!!! Or else I’ll never do ISH!!! Loved this vlog me and my family will be taking this cruise in April ❤ for a budget friendly start to cruising

Welcome!!! Should be noted that they seem to rotate talent fairly quickly. For instance I’m not sure if the same singer from the lounge was on the week after I got off. I recommend if you happen to be in the area and love cruising.
We are flying down to Orlando in October. Taking another carnival cruise. Margaritville at sea looks like a cool older ship.

Great seeing your take on Margaritaville. Definitely different from others I've seen. Looks like for an inexpensive and short getaway, it's not too bad. I agree, that lounge scene with those singers was dope.
It started to add up with all of the extras but worth experiencing once. Decent way to extend a trip in Florida.

I was treated better on this cruise then the one I paid more money for and people rave about. Paying more doesn’t equal to better treatment. I had fun on this cruise

I Worked on the Costa Classica when she was new as a Croupier in the casino, lots of fond memories on that ship, she was built with Italian style back in the day. I also took my family for my first cruise as a passenger a couple of years ago on her when she was in Palm Beach went to the Bahamas She's a good old girl that's for sure.

Oh I need a good roux with my shrimp & grits 😆. Good info on the car rentals. Had a huge issue with a rental like that in Cali and I have not booked with one of those companies again. License to Chill seems like it’s worth the cost. The singing was great! I could listen to that all day! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!! Yeah I was panicking and hoping nothing major happened with the car after I realized how unorganized the rental company was. Like no paperwork that detailed road side assistance or anything and I was driving 7 hours up and back. Good news 😊 they have ice cream!!!

Yeah I would only do it to extend time in Florida. I had to visit friends In Tallahassee which was expensive to fly into so I tagged this trip on. I will say Margaritaville at Sea can start to add up when you tack on the extras.

Are you in the west palm beach area? If yes, give it a try. If not, don’t go out of your way to sail with them.

Heyyy!! I rented from Easi-rent, and the car was like $15 per day, which came in clutch.. but it took 2 weeks for the hold to fall off! 😅

I booked Easirent through Orbitz. The car was like $138 for like a week, which was a steal! But I was like ummm if anything happens where is the road side assistance, where is the shuttle, where is the contract and paperwork? The oil light was going off and the sticker said it should have been changed in May…it’s August!!! Still never got a receipt.

Great review of that (third party car rental). How much was parking per day at the Port?
Traveling Grace as you go North to see friends/family after the cruise.
$19 a day and it’s a valet service. I decided to rent ahead of time so that I could disembark and get straight on the road.

For something like that I would have hoped on Amtrak down to FT LAUDERDALE then rented the car.
I flew into West Palm and road tripped through Florida after visiting friends in Tallahassee and stopping in Orlando for Epcot food and wine fest.

Hello when the boat stops in Freeport Bahamas what documents you need to board the boat on and off? And can you get on and off as much as you want during the stop?
You just need your cruise card to visit the port. If you want to do the stay and play package then you probably need a passport

How do you get a cruise card ? Also with the cruise card they swipe and what shows up? ……just need to know before I book this cruise next week
You get a card that serves as your door key and also identification for the ship once you board the ship
Be sure to check what forms of ID they accept before booking your cruise
