Cheers brother, she's quick but the lower kV 2845 motor just couldn't pass my pb with the 2440 4300kv motor, which actually looked like faster passes on this run so was a bit surprised. I have a new motor ordered so will be going for another run as soon as it arrives
Cheers Dan, yeah I thought it might get a few more kph as it actually looked quicker by eye this time around but I guess its the lower kV on this motor than made it get basically the same top end, have a new setup coming soon for this one! 👍🍻
Hey mate the wheels are off a wltoys A959 buggy, think they run a 5mm hex and had to cut the fender flares off to have clearance for the wheels and tyres. Cheers for watching👍🍻
What electronics are you using? The brushless upgrade esc can handle 3s?? I wanted to put the hobbywing brushless system in it but i dont want to sacrifice the lights
Hi Andrew I'm just using a haiboxing 16889 truck brushless ESC and receiver combo from spares I had left over from other RC's. And yep handles 3s fine so far

Yeah looks like these cars aren't meant for speed runs althogh interesting to see what happens when you try 😂😂 Probably right lower kv might mean you have to gear up, also a larger 2845 can will mean a higher amp draw too so a larger and or higher C battery my be required to provide the extra current draw. Also if your doing this as some kind of speed challenge maybe try 12mm hex adapters + hex extenders + 1/10 buggy or rally wheels for extra stability as it seems it's what this car lacks.
Yeah I'm going to try a few more different things on this one soon, the larger 2845 lower kV motor this time around I was expecting a bit more from as these passes did look faster by eye than my previous ones with the 2440, but the gps doesn't lie, cheers mate 👍

Can you run 3s lipos on the stock brushless motor and esc
Not too sure on the stock electronics
did you keep the stock esc?
No this has been converted to brushless so all the electronics including ESC had to be changed, thanks for watching👍
Do you think the stock esc/rx combo can take a 2440 6000kv motor?
not sure about the Stock ESC out of the SG because i had a esc out of a 16889 HBX in this one

If the new motor got a lower kv then a bigger pinion would really help with more speed.
Exactly, I added a larger pinion to this setup but wasn't enough
