    Interesting. I also wonder what the problem was. My two children have been on Acellus since January 2021, in the 5th and 8th grades, and we absolutely love it. We have had zero problems, zero glitches. They both say they are learning better because there are no classroom distractions and their use of time is far more efficient. I can see their classes, the content and assignments, grades/progress in each class at any time, and if they are meeting their daily goals. Signing up and getting started was very easy. Both my kids were working in classes the day after we signed up. Acellus has also been very responsive to answering e-mails and phone calls I’ve placed. We’re extremely happy with it.

      @@nr1408 I'm probably a little late to respond but I'm in Highschool , I just transferred to acellus a couple weeks ago as a Junior and I honestly really like it. It's a little different because I've never done an official online school but I like the fact that you're able to look back at things in your classes you've struggled with. The best part is going at your own pace during classes. You have a goal to complete by Friday but you're able to do your work at a time during your day that works for you the most. It's really helped me with my anxiety of not being able to prepare good enough in my classes. If I mess up during one of the assignments I'm able to re-take it and get a better grade if I need to. I'm here if you have anymore questions at all about the program!

      Yesterday I enrolled my children in Acellus Academy through Roger Billings Scholarship Program, 7th and 9th. Today I read horrible things about Acellus, they have inappropriate content, they are sexist, racist, a religious sect, ... Did you find any problem entering the University with the Acellus diploma? It seems to be a good school, I am confused by so much bad information.
      Sounds to be more commercial competition, lobby ... I don't know! ... Thank you!!

      As wicked wilfre said there is no problems, I've had my son on it for a year. It is the best homeschooling program that I have had him on so far, most homeschooling programs seem to be watered down this one is not and it has an excellent backlog to where you can see everything your child is doing, it grades everything for you I mean literally has taken so much weight off of my shoulders.
      I used to have programs that I trusted for math and language arts but not for science and social studies, my kid is even taking coding classes in acellus and guess what I even signed myself up an account so I can learn coding alongside of him, cuz what's the point in being a homeschool Mom if I can't help with my kid needs help. So I need to learn the information too.

    Sounds to me like the Department of Education doesn’t like the idea of progress through education. Which is undeniably inevitable. In person learning will likely be less needed in the future in general, and unfortunately many educators may find themselves without a role to play. So I understand the concern of a teacher feeling obsolete given these circumstances, however I’m loving the idea of progressive unbiased learning experiences for our children. There were no valid points made as to why Acellus would fail our children.

  • @6thfloor33
    @6thfloor33 3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    Yet they will teach your child ALL type of non-academic nonsense in public schools. The parents or teachers MUST ALWAYS BE INVOLVED IN THE CHILD’S LEARNING.
    You cannot set your kid in front of a computer and leave them up to their own devices.
    Lazy teachers and lazy parents are the problem. Lazy educators or parent want other people or computer programs to do the work.
    It don’t work that way. You can use a book or a computer-based program, BUT you have to assist either way to help the child.

  • @katiemac9845

    It is an accredited program that our children love. They are far more advanced in academic knowledge than their public school peers.... I'm not sure what the inappropriate programing is that they are referring to, I wonder why they didn't specify. Also, the teacher who claims to not have access obviously isn't doing his job as there is a teacher interface to view student learning.... The mother wanting teachers with "content specialists" who does she think Acellus hires, these are public educators working as teachers in parts of the USA in their specified course. They are content specialists, these reviews and complaints seem biased. Why this sudden push to de-face Acellus among a crucial time for distance learning?

    I used Acellus for 7th grade and I am now in 9th (I currently attend a private high school). After being virtually homeschooled for 2.5 years during middle school, I would like to go back to it for the rest of high school, or at least for 10th and 11th. I liked Acellus and I felt I received a good education. Have these people seen most public schools, especially in lower income towns?

      We switched to acellus last month, it was my daughter’s choice. She likes it. She was previously doing edmentum thru her high school. And I honestly don’t see anything great about the current state used edmentum. Thru edmentum she was required to take an on line PE class, which I thought was absurd. A third of science was focused on Darwinism. One Language arts assignment I looked at included comparing 2 articles on sustainable energy - which I consider very political.

He absolutely loves it and is quoting things he learns on Acellus and has not quoted one thing that he learned in private school. “Mommy, do you know what a hypothesis is?!…it’s an educated guess!” Only thing he quotes from his PS is what some kid does or said in class…nothing that he learned. So next year we will be going Acellus Academy full time also while we travel the country for 6 months of the year! We don’t want to be tied down to a school calendar while we also learn on the road!! We can visit places he’s learned about, museums, tours of all kinds, etc. A true Roads Scholar!!! 🤣🤗❤️

      It sounds like you are discriminating against someone using the term sweetie lips? I think it's an endearing, cute name, so really you should be careful banning something just because you don't like a name. what would you prefer her to be named, what would be more appropriate? Who do you think should be the ultimate decision maker of appropriate character names for kids programming? Is it too feminine for you? As a feminist, I would say that the view you hold that "Sweetie Lips" is in some way inappropriate is an anti-feminist view, as all females should have the right to choose what they like or don't like, and not be told by anyone what they need to view as feminine or not. So, me as a female liking the name and you as a female not liking the name shouldn't have any basis on whether it is a "good" name....
