Carrie, something I noticed over the past year or so is that on almost every video you post you tend to give disclaimers on literally just how you exist. It’ll be the food you buy, or the way you cook a particular meal, or how you pronounce a word, etc - and I’m sure the internet can be a hard place but I really hope that you will start to just own your life and who you are and forgo the disclaimers all together. People will always have things to say that are negative but I hate always hearing you apologize for existing. Your real supporters and people who love watching your content for you don’t ever even notice the things you disclaim 💖
@@paigedavis9470 yesss it is quite a bit. It makes me sad too. I’ve been watching Carrie for YEARS and she just doesn’t seem very confident in herself recently and idk why bc she’s pretty cool 😩
@@kay-bc3vl I’ve also been watching for close to 10 years and never felt like she has been this way in the past 😭 Carrie, if you’re reading this, stop apologizing, we think you’re so cool! 🩷🩷🩷
Sewing tip! The sweater is really close! It looks like on the original the bows are stitched to lay flat, I think that could really tie your sweater together (no pun intended )! I would sew the center of each bow to the sweater and then put a stitch or two on each loop of the bow so they will be stuck flat to the sweater. You can put cardboard in the sweater to keep it stiff and not sew thru to the back. Hope that helps!
for the sweater: the sorry girls here on yt just posted a video with a diy gift exchange and they made a diy bow sweater and break down how they did it really well! the bows they made were smaller and I think it helped with proportions but you are on the right track!!💕
Okay, that orange garland is beautiful! So festive. Also, your bow making strategy was ingenious. I think if you add an extra safety pin they will stay up flatter. Maybe trim the ends a little as well. But both so cute.
The red plastic needle you held up is a yarn needle. You could take a piece of yarn and thread through the tops of the bow through the sweater(loop and knot on the inside) to help the loops stay up. Looks so cute! ❤️💯
As a fellow ADHDer I appreciate you showing the chaos that is crafting - or doing anything for that matter - with a neurodivergent brain. So real, so validating. And the sweater turned out great! Most importantly you enjoyed the experience too!
I was diagnosed with ADHD last summer and I never realized I had time blindness until you talked about it! I’m still learning about myself and talking to a therapist but I’m so glad you talk about your experience with ADHD ❤
Carrie and Drew got me hooked on the advent calendar. I bought my husband the Happy Sox one (also a birthday present) and a new pair of colourful sox each day of december. He needed his sox drawer upgraded too. And its a fun little thing for us to do each day. Definitely a fan.
I love this vlog you really had me smiling and laughing! The fact that anyone ever makes bad comments is so crazy to me. We need to all protect Carrie at all cost because she is truly one of a kind and such an angel. Happy holidays 🎄
Once again my 1yo is pumped to see you taste testing food, she kissed the phone, said "Hello" and "I Love You" I'm pretty sure she thinks were video-chatting 😂❤😅
Drew with the least amount of toxic masculinity I've ever seen. Love that he engages with his mom over Real Housewives, but he still gives off hot guy vibes.
I love the crafts you did today! I LOVE the sweater - the only thing I might do is make the dangly strings a little shorter, but that might just be person preference, lol. You could sew them on, but if you just keep using the safety pins, you can also take them off later if you want to change things up! I love your vlogs, and I'm definitely going to copy these holiday crafts this year!
Yay, that looks cute Carrie and making stuff is so great. Like, you did that. 🎉 Be proud of it! As a fellow neurospicy girlie I know for me it's important to do it and live with it. Don't need to get it perfect, don't need to be great at whatever craft you do. Just do it. Something that's cute works best for me, since I tend to not be as critical with cute things. Started crocheting this year in January and that's the first real hobby I managed to keep going in my 38 years on this planet. 😅 I highly refdomend trying it. Great thing with crochet is you can always frog it aka unravel it and correct something. First thing I ever made was an amigurumi turtle. The turtle didn't turn out perfect or great but it's cute and it being a bit wonky makes it even cuter . And that's what kept me going. So now I'm on sweater number three at the moment, already made countless rainbows and cute amigurumi bears and monsters etc. Truckload of coasters too. If I had started with something like a normal round coaster though I would have never kept going. Found doing something flat and "easy" way harder than any amigurumi I did. I'll link the turtle and a super easy loaf cat under my comment if anybody wants to try and need something kind of easy but that keeps you on your tows so you don't zone out completely or get bored. ^^
th-cam.com/video/ih7jxIIPW8M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=a4wi-btYIP46pphb That's the loaf cat tutorial. th-cam.com/video/GKyTjMKKBWY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wbNXKFmxCS2PHKmk And here's the turtle. I got a dollar store crochet hook and some cheap yarn and went to town. Always used video tutorials for the first couple of months. And I still like them a lot.
just here to say I’m loving your vlogmas as I always do. I turned this on while I was making Christmas treats so we were “crafting” together! Can’t wait to see your vlog with sierra and next week with your girls night!!
Love love love your vlogmas Carrie! That garland is adorable. I wanted to take the time to make the mushroom garland from Tiktok, but my tree isn’t even decorated yet so that’s next on the priority tomorrow nite! Also can I ask a adhd question? After vlogmas you should share your tips and tricks on how you manage your adhd and Maybe task avoidance / chores etc. cause man that’s where I struggle the most!! 😅
1) the needle you were holding up is called a tapestry needle. It has may uses such as sewing knitted pieces togethr or weaving in ends 2) when working with acrylic yarn, you can burn the ends for a clean cut look. They will melt, as they are literally plastic.
That sweater is amaaaaaaaazing!!! Now i want to make it too! I think it looks very professional. And you explained very well how you made the bows, so i don't have to try things out myself and can just do it the way you made them. I think if you have been working on it all day you don't see if you like it anymore. You have to put it a way for 1 or a couple of days and i bet you will love your sweater after that. I learned a new English word from you. It's the word "twine". I only knew rope, string or cord. I am dutch, so English isn't my first language. But it is my second best language.
1. the bow sweater turned out so cute! 2. as a fellow ADHDer I really enjoy your approach 😁 3. it is ADORABLE how you talk about Drew 🥰 4. I love how enjoying food is featured in your videos ❤, especially beside all those fitness influencers..
The only difference seems to be how the bows on the original sweater seem more structured. I wonder if they had some sort of wiring or something else they used inside of them. A solid 9/10!🙌🏻
I will say, my orange garland is 3 years old and still looks great. I assumed it was a 1 year project, but I did it with salt dough ornaments during the pandemic - and they still look great I know you are the queen of not hanging on to stuff, but if you keep them in ziplock, they might work next year too.
You should try andSons chocolate!! It's in LA but you can order online as well, they have been raving about it on the h3 podcast!! I haven't tried it cause I'm in Europe. Also, I loved seeing you try a craft, I knit and crochet and many people in the community have ADHD and say it helps them focus while watching movies/during zoom meetings or lectures
I agree with a bunch of the comments about tacking the bows to be flat on the jumper will look super cute, I also think that its too symmetrical with the layout, you need maybe one more in the middle somewhere.
I think the sweater would look better with one more bow, just to make the final number of bows an odd number. I find that anything with an even number of things looks a bit off because I want them to be symmetrical? Maybe I’m just weird, but it’s hecking adorable!
My hubby and I are the same way with illness lengths. I have IBS and a lot of the immune system is in your gut, so if you have issues there then you stay sick for way longer! It just keeps gettin' better 😅
Love the orange garland have one on our tree from two years ago, wrapped it in wax paper to store over the year. Have you made a cranberry garland before? Made one this year and its so cute with the oranges so festive
I thought you were blurring out the yarn at first, because it looked phallic from that angle. Then, when you blurred the packaging away from the yarn, i realized you were blurring the address label. 😂😂😂
The sweater looks chunky enough to pull the braided strings through and then make the bow 🤔 Love the nipple bow idea 😊 Sewing them in some areas would help. For the ends I would have used a hidden knot as it would make it a bit more flat but your method works perfectly fine ❤
I had ideas about making your sweater work. The real talented folks beat me to the comments though😂 I think you can use thread to secure the ends though
With Hope Macaulay, basic girl math won’t work. This is an advanced equation that requires girl calculus and girl differential equations. I’m not embarrassed to say, I had to get a tutor. But don’t worry!! It gets easier!! 😂😂😂❤

Noticed this too! Several times per video it seems and it breaks my heart!

This is sooo helpful thank you!! 🫶
Thank you for the tip PS have a lovely day I wish you a happy holiday
Came to comment this too!!
I can’t help but sing your intro. It’s kinda my favorite part about vlogmas besides more Carrie content. You are just a joy!

Ooo thanks for the tip I’ll check it out!! 💞

craft time with carrie was a vibe! love how your sweater turned out x

I think we're so close with the sweater but sewing them to lay flat might bring it together

I love your vlogs so much! You just have a lovely, true friend presence that makes everyone feel like you are talking to them.
Look at you all crafty!!!!🎄👏🏻
That sweater turned out so cute! You did an amazing job 😍
Carrie, your vlogs always lift me up ! Thank you :) Keep being your wonderful self ! 🌟
love you Carrie! The bow sweater is so cute 🎀 so cool you thrifted and diy'd
I’m obsessed with your sweater ❤😭 what a pretty, simple DIY😊
Thank you so much for sharing this with us ❤
Okay no these crafts are BOMB I love them both 🥰

Looking at your tree while you were putting the garland up reminded me so much of my grandma’s tree! I miss her so much but that made me so happy!
That DIY is so cute! Now I want to make 10 bows and put them in everything. Your bows turned out so good!!!
yay for DIY's!!! i'm so happy 😍the doll for grace was so cute, hope we can see her reaction in the next vlog 🥲
I’ve been enjoying your vlogmas so much! It’s my first year watching but you’re doing a great job ❤
Omg I tried those cookies too & the lemon poppyseed was the best 🤤🤤🤤
The sweater looks incredible I absolutely love it such a great idea!!
Loved the crafting ❤
Once again my 1yo is pumped to see you taste testing food, she kissed the phone, said "Hello" and "I Love You" I'm pretty sure she thinks were video-chatting 😂❤😅
I love these long vlogs
Drew with the least amount of toxic masculinity I've ever seen. Love that he engages with his mom over Real Housewives, but he still gives off hot guy vibes.
We call things like the car crash “fuck shoes moments” you leave so fast you don’t even put your shoes on. It’s a dean cane skit I think
I love the crafts you did today! I LOVE the sweater - the only thing I might do is make the dangly strings a little shorter, but that might just be person preference, lol. When i was watching this back, i was like “omg shorten the strings!!!” lol 😂 definitely going to do that and try to secure the bows more flat! ❤
The orange garland is sooooo cute
hey i love the oranges they look perfect infront of the curtians

And here's the turtle.
I got a dollar store crochet hook and some cheap yarn and went to town. Always used video tutorials for the first couple of months. And I still like them a lot.
Skein of yarn but I am impressed that you know what a seam ripper is.
New to your videos!! But loving it already

My vote is for the nipple bows - so cute!
Carrie: "I think it's solid chocolate...yea"
Drew: "that sucks" 😂😂
I feel ya Drew 😂
Hope y'all both fully recover soon ❤❤
Love your vlogs thanks for sharing ❤❤❤

I learned a new English word from you. It's the word "twine". I only knew rope, string or cord.
I am dutch, so English isn't my first language. But it is my second best language.
Those bows are so cute!! I love them!
Sees Butterscotch Squares are my favorite ever!!!
1. the bow sweater turned out so cute!
2. as a fellow ADHDer I really enjoy your approach 😁
3. it is ADORABLE how you talk about Drew 🥰
4. I love how enjoying food is featured in your videos ❤, especially beside all those fitness influencers..
Love the sweater idea! You would probably enjoy actually crocheting, you should learn how! ❤
The lemon poppyseed cookie is what I would have gone for first too!
I love your vlogs 🎉
I’m also sick and when drew said the nutcracker chocolate “sucks” I choked and died laughing. Still recovering. Too funny
The only difference seems to be how the bows on the original sweater seem more structured. I wonder if they had some sort of wiring or something else they used inside of them. A solid 9/10!🙌🏻

I know you are the queen of not hanging on to stuff, but if you keep them in ziplock, they might work next year too.
I had to watch 1-5 today! I was late! I’m sorry!!!! ❤
The cookies look delicious. I would definitely have had milk with 🍪🥛
Just subscribed to your channel however I have been watching you for quite some time. Love you videos.
Thank you so much for being here! 💞
Actually you made me giggle when you tasted to cookies and quoted from Mario Brothers Wonder.

That is the BEST See’s!
I think it would look better if the bows lay flat at the top of them!! I thought they looked like tampon strings 😂
I loveee the color choices
The Twix one was much better day 2, it was very crumbly when we got it.
Gingerbread was my favorite but the lemon was also amazing😋😋😋
With the lemon yuzu, stir a spoonful into a cup of boiling water!
Drew is like Pooh, “heard HONEY and i’m coming.” Lol
LOL TRUUU
Safety pins to attach and be removable for more versatility.
Love the orange garland have one on our tree from two years ago, wrapped it in wax paper to store over the year. Have you made a cranberry garland before? Made one this year and its so cute with the oranges so festive
Carrie: Wait is this ugly? Me: the important thing is that you like it 🤭
Light the frays of the bows with a lighter and it will singe the frays and stop it from fraying more
Shake Shack and Crumbl! I feel a food relapse coming on :)
I thought you were blurring out the yarn at first, because it looked phallic from that angle. Then, when you blurred the packaging away from the yarn, i realized you were blurring the address label. 😂😂😂
lol me crocheting a blanket while watching your vlogmases 😂🫶🏻
The sweater looks chunky enough to pull the braided strings through and then make the bow 🤔
Love the nipple bow idea 😊
Sewing them in some areas would help.

Wait... If the oranges are dried / dehydrated then why are they sticky 🤔
The tails of the bows need to be shorter and then I think you will like it better. Love your vlogmas videos. Thank you for doing them
A few more bows would be perfect
I've had COVID since this past Wednesday so I'm right there with you. 😷🤒😩 On the upside I think.
Can you please talk about adhd & living with someone, maybe Drew can join or not
I am currently 1 month in to my 1.5 months of girl sickness. And I have still not been able to take a day off. 🥴
My daughter works at Crumbl and if you ask they will cut them for you if you want
💛💛💛💛💛
13th like! Gotta be a good sign
❤❤❤❤
You have to heat up the cookies 😭😭😭
Your bows are perfect. Just tack them on with thread.
🇨🇦
I’d cut the bows shorter
According to your description of illness, I am actually a man, which explains a lot. . .
Take the bows off the arms and I’m sure it will be beautiful 🇨🇦
Crumbl cookies are so disgusting 😂 I hate even seeing them on screen.
please please please make another pink bow and wear it in your hair when you’re wearing the sweater
Love this idea!!!! 🎀
love your videos so much ❤ my boyfriend now is even like, time for the blonde girl? and puts you on the big tv 😂🎉
he also has adhd and relates!
