    Excellent rod and reel setup! I'm curious if you built the rod yourself? I wouldn't be surprised if you did. Great video friend! Keep getting those Zander for us. TIGHT LINES! Best wishes from Southern California, USA.

      Thanks mate ... on the rod I just cut down the trigger and have to give it to a friend to change the first 4 guides so I will have KR concept. I don’t have at home any tools for the rod building. Thanks mate and cheers 👍🍻

    Super fain videoclipul ... , dar am observat ca ai frana prea stransa in mai multe videoclipuri .. sfatul meu este sa nu o mai lasi atat de stransa , cel putin in mal .🤝

Ciao ciao 🍻

      Hey mate. Yeah, I brought the lighter “brother” if the old rod because it was impossible to find the same rod. This is the 803C JWR and it’s a completely different rod, much softer than the other one ... but I’m working to fix my old one ... you can see it here while testing it:

    Neither do I. I catch them accidentaly on the Danube, but if I am fishing for them, zero.
    My oppinion is zander isn't a predator per se. He dosen't actively hunt like asp or pike. Most of the times he stumbles on the lure and profit. More like an oportunistic predator. A scavanger. Closer to the catfish way of hunting. That's why I don't like them.

    • @AnEm_Fishing
      @AnEm_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate. If you ask me ... they are feeding and following the prey fish during the night and in certain particular conditions during the day (that I haven’t understood yet) ... otherwise yes, I think that they are opportunistic lazy fish that will take a lure/fish only if it’s getting in their mouth 😂. Cheers man 🍻

    The zender is probably going for the lure but missing it with his mouth and at the end touching it with his body. Makes sense if you retrive faster and he is following it.

      @@AnEm_Fishingthis summer I was using flutter spoons and short spoons for Striped Bass from the bank. For maybe a week many bites were outside of the mouth. Then went back to normal. 🤷‍♂️ my guess is they're being less aggressive on the strike. Perhaps because they're recognizing something. I switched to the shorter spoons after losing the most productive flutter Spoon to a Giant.
      It was a major improvement. Perhaps it was good timing also. I don't remember getting any hookups outside of the mouth afterwards.

    • @AnEm_Fishing
      @AnEm_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s good to know mate ... for sure they weren’t as aggressive as they are other periods. Cheers man 🍻

    Love it when you fish this spot. New rod seems 👍. Is it the same as the old one? What rod is it. I've heard people say 'it's an NRX' is the G-loomis? Can't wait for you to do some UL fishing again on that mountain river and wild ponds.

    • @AnEm_Fishing
      @AnEm_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey mate and thanks a lot. It’s a new rod, it’s the 803C JWR on NRX because I couldn’t find the one that I broke ... out of production. Much softer and lighter and I miss a lot my old one, that was very very stiff and responsive. Now I’m working to fix it, you can see here testing it:
      m.th-cam.com/users/shortsUR1vCkFU0bI
      About the UL fishing. This year it’s impossible considering the situation at home (new born 😉🤘) but next year thing will change in this channel ... A LOT 😉. Thanks again mate and cheers 🤘🍻

    • @stuartday3232
      @stuartday3232 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @AnEm_Fishing congrats! Didn't realise it was a different model. Just interesting to hear what you use to target fish on a 'big' river. Here in the UK I usually fish shallow canals so I generally use a 6ft 0>7g rod but I've been trying to fish some of our bigger rivers recently (Severn and Avon) so I've got myself 2 ML rods, so 7>21g, 1 is 2.20m the other 2.4m hence asking about the tackle/rod etc.

    • @AnEm_Fishing
      @AnEm_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks a lot man. yeah, if I would fish shallow waters and small canals definitely I would go for something lighter. perhaps not a 0-7 ... morelikely I would use something up to 10 grams, quite stiff. usually bigger waters require heavyer setups, but I don't like to go to heavy and kill al the pleasure. cheers man ...

    • @stuartday3232
      @stuartday3232 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AnEm_Fishing I regularly fish around 1g or less but I'm only fishing for small fish. Well keep up the good work and keep making them banging lures! 👍
