In todays video I discuss the history and evolution of Sonny the Cuckoo Bird. From cocoa puffs original mascots of the cocoa puff kids, to Sonny's first appearance in the 50's, then to his commercials which star him and Gramps. Then I finish it off with discussing the current iteration of Sonny the Cuckoo Bird.

The kids were paid by gramps to keep Sonny addicted, because Gramps needed a way to manipulate Sonny. This is due to the fact Gramps was scared that Sonny would stop loving him.

No, it’s still being used. It’s probably a slightly manipulative way to get people to click on the video, because they’re curious about why the character was retired. Except he wasn’t.

​@@qmto You're giving me way too much credit thinking I was trying to be manipulative lmao, it actually has a much more simple explanation. I was just trying to fill in some empty space on the thumbnail, so I simply put the year he first appeared then the current year. I'll try to be more aware in the future of thumbnails or titles that can be perceived as clickbait, because I hate clickbait just as much as the next guy. Thanks for pointing it out to me though!
