Hi Brittany. I've never been a Nomos fan (I know, shock and horror), but this is the first one I think I might actually be lusting after. That green dial is so subtle yet popping. I would have preferred a fully brushed bracelet and clasp but certainly no deal breaker there. Great video. I think you may have just convinced me to order one.
Now a days there are a lot of great high end brands like Nomos providing comparable, if not superior, alternatives to Rolex product lines. Often with better tech, specs, and definitely price point value. Then you have microbrands like Monta and Traska offering extreme value and quality options - its wild what those brands are doing.
Amen brotha. It’s kind of fun, as the watch enthusiast community, knowing that we sort of have a responsibility to get these little guys out there. I love that every watch these guys sell out of, just makes the development budget for the next one even roomier.
100% agree about your thoughts on a screw-down crown. I know it ‘technically’ doesn’t matter….but to me it adds a degree of confidence when submerging it in water
@@BrittPearceWatches The Club Sport Neomatic 42 might be what you are looking for - screw down crown and 1000ft water resistance - it doesn't feel or look as big as the 42mm size would suggest.
The sub seconds looks perfect to me. Also to mention that this is the more "basic" way as the fourth wheel is used for the second. Putting the second in the middle would need a new level and would proabely make the watch thicker. So for me all done right.
One of the very few Nomos watches I like. I think because it doesn't look quite like a Nomos 😅 You nailed it, it is a everyday all day design. Well done!
Yesssss! I have the 42” blue and (for my 7”) it’s perfect. Even my wife complimented it 😂 that doesn’t happen. “Classy” she said 😳. The bracelet on this helps the smaller version look bigger while it mitigates the length on the 42”. Man this looks fantastic on you! Perfect size. The clasp?….yeah, it never had a chance.
Yes, the polished clasp on the Club Sport bracelet really is a scratch magnet - it took me less than 2 weeks of very careful wear to get it visibly (to me at least) scuffed. I know that this is heresy, but these watches also look really good on leather straps ...
Major points for not having a screw down crown. Plus, I like the all Arabic (vs part Roman) numerals. The case width and water resistance are class leading!
More sunshine in our lives from you Britt even with a bit of flu. Thank you. This is a good 'un for sure but Nomos is a bit addicted to the shiny stuff. Since they are getting into more sporty watches, it's about time they embraced brushed finishes mixed into their cases I think. For me polished centre links and clasp is a NO but you can get this on a textile strap. I'd go that way but it's a shame because the bracelet suits the watch. If it was all brushed, that is....
I really like this iteration! I also don't mind the sub seconds or the polished clasp. Tbh, it looks fantastic and I can't wait to try one on in a few weeks when it hits the store shelves. Hoping they do more colours next year. If they did a salmon dial, omg I would buy it in a heartbeat!
That petrol dial is just *chefs kiss. But if they did center seconds it would make the movement thicker, but it's already so thin going from an 8.4mm or whatever to a 10mm thickness wouldn't be that big of a deal.
If someone has decided to buy a Rolex, there is nothing you can say to change his or her mind. However, if they are considering buying a Nomos watch or something similar, there is a lot you can say to change their mind. That is the difference between Rolex and rest of them.
Nice watch but the lugs ... Nomos delivers a great craftmanship on their movements. Better than most expensive brands. Oyster Perpetual is still king though. Period.
@6:30 Same. I could see myself buying this watch if it had a screw-down crown. I wear a Hamilton King Khaki a lot, but it bums me out so hard that it only has 5 bar wr and no screw down crown. If the Hamilton Khaki King had 150m and a screw down crown and keep the same price, it would be the best watch ever made.
The 42mm version of that is my daily driver. 300m, slim profile, can go with suits during the day, and isn’t flashy. And that one does have a screw down crown. 😅
Do love the design of NOMOS watches... I loved the Ahoi... the only thing that stops me from buying on is the seconds hand in it's own complication rather than part of the handset... Nomos if you're reading the comments give that Ahoi a normal seconds hand and I'm in!
It’s got more Explorer vibes to me… It’s beautiful though, i’ve felt rather unenthused about the other NOMOS watches. They’re just too plain. Love how sporty this fella is.
That Nomos looks like a really compelling watch. I think I like the movement more than the dial tbh. On the subject of Rolex the one I want is the two tone explorer.
If the sub-seconds are taken off and centre seconds are placed, the watch would look great! But it wouldn't be 'Nomos'. So, I have to agree with Nomos on this one.
I have a large wrist (8 inches) and 37mm is just too small. NOMOS already has a 42mm version but that is too large because it has very long lugs and it's all dial. I wish this was a 39mm watch. I'd be first in line. I'd love a sportier NOMOS. Great review as always.
I understand the controversy with Rolex in terms of availability, overhype, etc., but I’d really like to crunch the numbers on the people that would pass on a OP at retail price (which they could afford and/or were on the hunt for obviously) for this Nomos. And I really like Nomos.
I agree with you on the clasp and sub seconds, but my biggest issue is the lug to lug of 48.5mm. That is longer than a Sub. Please Nomos, shorten your lugs
Gringa! Nice review. The NOMOS Ahoi has been on my want list, but you have made me second guess myself. I think that now the Club occupies the space in my head reserved for a NOMOS, but the Club Aqua series is more me. NOMOS has been making some of the better bang for the buck watches recently. The Club, Orion, and Metro models are all just superb. (Though I have never been a fan of California dials). The bright NOMOS colors define a summer watch to me. Long Live the Cult(s)
@@BrittPearceWatches it’s the simplicity that works; you don’t look like a rapper/inner city drug dealer wearing one. I too, like you, have a tiny wrist; 39mm is perfect.
I love the sub seconds, the dial is lovely but I’m struggling with the bracelet and really dislike the clasp, it’s really inelegant and there is no on the fly adjustment.
I absolutely love this watch. I have been on the fence about Nomos (eyeing the pink Club!) but this has converted me. Especially this green color. Phenomenal piece and a real game-changer for the brand.
My reaction was the opposite. “Nomos is usually my thing, but not this”😂. It’s a great watch, great specs, interesting colors, but that kind of bracelet and sporty aesthetic just isn’t what I picture when I think about Nomos. It’s like anything Dive watch related that comes out from Cartier, I’m sure it’s a good watch but it just doesn’t make me think “Cartier”. The design language looks a little off. But I’ve thought about it, and I think it has a lot to do with the oyster style bracelet used. Great, quality video as always!
I wish there were more dial colours; I really would love that pink dial Club with an exhibition case back showing off their in house movements. I agree with your centre seconds sentiment

Against the backdrop of tannin stained water and granite in the Muskoka's of Ontario Canada. - Tough as fucking nails! - Legibility at a glance when you're active and moving. - More than enough waterproof while being swept down a class 4 rapid after dumping. - Rotating bezel to time hiking or paddling segments. - Tritium lume all night long! It gets dark out at 6PM after October. - Adjustable strap/bracelet to wear on the outside of 3 layers when it's -25°C out. - Never need to take your phone out. Most of the time you can't!
Agree about the polished clasp being a scratch magnet, but love the rest of the features on this piece! Maybe a very well-fitting plastic clasp protector ? 😳
A screw down crown has advantages other than securing a moisture seal. Its structure takes stress off of the stem, a part that I’ve bent on some of my beater watches, just from the way the crown would press against the back of my hand. I get that Nomos graphically has a minimalist design godliness, but I think that a watch without a date complication would make it a better candidate for a screw down crown. The disadvantage is that for the less mechanically inclined, the possibility of cross threading the crown and damaging it increases every time they adjust the time(or date).
My colleague rocked up to work with a Richard Mille last week. I admire the design and it looks really cool, but a little too flamboyant for me to wear haha.
Not sure why you would prefer center seconds over the sundial. The sundial is what's making this watch cool. If that sundial was removed leaving you with traditional center seconds, I don't think this watch would be as attractive as it currently is.
I would love to see this watch employing the dial colours of the Club Campus, such as the Orange, Pink and silver grey. It would be a direct challenge in both price and appeal to the Oris Candy Floss 65s. It would also create a stylistic alternative to that "Oyster look". While I appreciate the craft of Nomos as watchmakers supreme, they do not have the automatic brand recognition of some of their competitors and I feel they need to go hunt their own broader appeal and resonance with a wider audience of watch buyers.
Man I'm a day late and a dollar short great video Britt, I have a soft spot for Nomos never had one but I would love to have one one day the company hits it out the park a lot of the time you really can't go wrong with a Nomos great kitty shot by the way have a good weekend.
Rolex take some notes. 37mm x 8mm thick... now THAT'S some impressive watch making...I don't see why the OP is nearly 12mm thick to be honest. To me that's too top heavy I can't wait to see flat colour dials on these Nomoses. Kind of like the colour range of the wonderful Club Campus catalogue.... that would be very cool
I’ve always loved sub second and no date ever since I became interested in watches in 2016. I also love a decorated movement. If this was a 39mm it would be a home run for me.
Nomos has some very cool design language, I like the small seconds. I prefer the Club Campus in either Future Orange or Absolute Grey to these new ones. Not a fan of that bracelet. I prefer Nomos on a strap and the California dial is sweet. They should offer a sapphire case back on the Club Campus. Movement is too pretty to hide.
Screw down crown, all brushed and more power reserve and it would be perfection. This keeps happening to me - I think I’ve found my everyday watch, and then it’s just not quite right enough. Maybe I need to compromise instead of holding out indefinitely.
I am normally not a big fan of Nomos, as their designs are way too minimalistic for me. However, this watch is beautiful. This watch definitely makes me rethink my attitude towards Nomos.
An unexpected Jody and a Britt all in one day! Admire Nomos, love the in houseness and indie cool but they're not really my bag. I do admire also they're pig headed refusal to make a diver😂 Very shiny too.
There it is. You should sell the Rolex and buy the Nomos. Side by side there is no comparison. The Nomos is more attractive than the OP. It looks good on you. This watch was made for you. 😎⌚️❤️ (Plus, you won’t have sinister characters following you through markets. The cachet that accompanies the brand name “Rolex” makes it a prime target for theft. That won’t happen with the Nomos and it is every bit the Rolex’s equal as a watch.)
That with the screwed crown is mentioned again and again, so also with other watches. But the fact is that with this watch you would at most go swimming in Brighton. But actually you would never go diving with this watch. So why a screw-down crown? Or do you think before every wash, oh, I still have to screw my crown? I personally think the Nomos is good as a second watch, not so good as a single watch, and would prefer it to any Tudor.
I wish Tudor did a OP alternate - the Black Bay 36 etc don’t do it as an alternative for me due to their snowflake handset & being under the BB group of watches. The teaser ad Tudor had earlier this year this had my hopes up, I thought it would be a Tudor Prince but it turned out to be the Ranger. The Traska Commuter (no date) is my current OP alternative due to WoS messing up my “waiting list” registration for an OP which lost me 5 months for nothing
Great review, Britt! I like it so much that I ordered one yesterday from my AD (with a slight discount). My kids won’t be the only ones waiting impatiently this December 😂
Great video and I really do enjoy your channel. This is a nice looking wrist clock don't you know and if someday I part with me orient bino I will consider the nomos club sport in 37mm. Thanks again!
Love the vid, love the watch but . . . Could someone explain the small seconds to me? What's that about? And that shiny clasp is going to be a scratch magnet.
I hope you feel better Brittany! Love the Nomos.. cannot afford it.. but I'm loving my Christopher Ward Trident Pro 300.. need an Explorer type option. Perhaps I'll save for that baby! Best to James. Frank in Colorado
"Twice the watch" of the OP? It's not a chronometer, the bracelet is inferior to the OP and has PCLs, and no easy link extension. Great watch for the price, but nowhere near "twice the watch" of an OP. Still, love the channel Gringa! 😀
LMAOOO! When I watched this back with James, before posting, at that exact part I said: “I might have gotten a bit carried away there” 😂😂 and I definitely did!
"I enchanted with this watch but I prefer the center seconds, the California dial and the screw crown" jajajaja I've doubt that not is your watch. But I can see that this is special according with Papi and I'm supposing the reason.
Bahahah! I do love it! 🙈 but there is always sometjing to nitpick! I have yet to find the perfect watch! (Woth the exception of the Santos Dumont of course!)
Somehow the bracelet comes off extremely feminine, which isn't for me. Worst part of any Nomos is the lug to lug, while it is in their DNA to have this look, it's just awful for smaller wrists.
Hi Britt, love your videos and humour. I just ordered one. Right?! 🙈 I’ve had a few people say this! It’s definitely a bit of a game changer for the brand.
Cats are always exactly where you don't want them to be at any given moment.
An unexpected Jody and a Britt all in one day! Admire Nomos, love the in houseness and indie cool but they're not really my bag. I do admire also they're pig headed refusal to make a diver😂 Very shiny too.
Wait so did you end up buying the pink CC36 that Nomos sent you a little while back??
Nomos offers some pretty epic value-for-money, IMO.
Nomos Oyster Perpetual... nail on the head
Awesome watch and video britt hope you get well soon 🤧
great watch, but I would love to see a 39-40mm version. And yes, the polished clasp is stupid and a I agree regarding the center seconds!
The Club is reeeeally great!
I prefer the more affordable standard club. It's somehow more casual and dressy at the same time. And greeeeeat colours.
California Dial is killer.
I don even like watches, I’m here for the out-tro
Bahahaha! What are watches? This is a music channel. Just hoping to get my big break!
Oooooo, that Talisker 10 is an excellent dram. On a side note, this might be the first Nomos that I actually thoroughly like 😅
Cool color. I don’t wear less than 39mm. Probably best for ladies.
Great video and I really do enjoy your channel. This is a nice looking wrist clock don't you know and if someday I part with me orient bino I will consider the nomos club sport in 37mm. Thanks again!
SO close to 40K subs! Deserves multiples of that number!
I still like the OP more. Sorry? 🤷🤷
Its the lugs, end links, bracelet and clasp. They are _sooooo_ close though. 90%. Next one, I might agree.
It's a good value option. I would wear the larger size. Do you see this watch in your collection in the future?
You know she isn't kidding when her eye's match the dial color.😉🧐
I like Nomos dial designs but could never get away from those long lugs this seems to fix that
Love me some centre seconds!
Very good looking timepiece 👍🏻 I dig Nomos
Beautiful. I must go and find one to buy. The green dial is amazing.
Love the vid, love the watch but . . .
Could someone explain the small seconds to me? What's that about?
And that shiny clasp is going to be a scratch magnet.
I definitely would prefer centre seconds! But small seconds is just a Nomos Club thang!
@@BrittPearceWatches I too have a flare for the hyperbolic. So no judgements from me 😆
I've ordered one.
Congratz on getting the Nomster Perpetual :P
Gringa, nice review. What is the lug to lug distance on this bad boy?
Now that’s a question!!! I’m just driving right now (James is driving haha not me!) but I can give it a measure when I get home!!
Nomos lists their lug to lug on website. I was there last night 😂
Hi Britt, love your videos and humour. I just ordered one. I just think it's such a lovely watch; and if the clasp gets scratched then i will get it polished :) next watch itch will probably be a nomos orion , the silver face version. Or a g shock as i'm very clumsy
thanks for the reviews and making the world brighter
great vid despite the sniffles. I guess Nomos decided that the bezel will show every scratch, so why not the clasp :D
Bahaha let the scratches begin! ;) Honestly, I've been so scared having it in, and wanting to keep it pristine. Although I think I maaaaay have put a few beauty marks on it/ ;)
@@BrittPearceWatches just style it out and tell them it was scratched when you got it......and hope they don't check youtube comments....oh....em....sorry.....
Oh! 🫢
That NOMOS ... 🥰
Lucky you to have some wrist time with this nice, very nice timepiece.
Thanks for sharing.
