Speechless man, simply just sensational between the rivalry of the two pairs, Indian's twin towers reminds me a lot of the original China twin towers, two deadly smashers, with a master of front court, is just wholsome to see another nation recreates that monster format, since I missed Lijunhui a lot, but Liang/Wang deserves a full mark for the performance today, although persistance and consistency still is a problem, but definitely their bounce back game since Victor China Open, respect for both pairs, and good luck for the trip to Paris podium.
Liang & Wang is the updated version, Liang with deadliest smash in the world and Wang bears almost the same to Kevin but stabler, calmer and better physique@@Da_aaa.

Standout umpiring. Salute! Towards end of the game, Liang tried all sorts of tricks to delay the game as the Indians caught up point after point until 19:20 only to be rebuffed by a professional no nonsense umpire. Kudos

"dont fix what isnt broken" .. his tape was lifting off since start of game 3 but he never once tried to slow the pace by delaying game cuz he was winning. after the opponent caught up, he tried to use it as an excuse to delay and change pace.. its also the same with ppl who challenge obvious in or outs cuz it gives them like a minute of rest and water break. its technically not cheating but ethically it is i guess.

I thought Reddy/Shetty could win easily against Liang/Wang . seeing that yesterday they were able to win in 2 straight sets against another Chinese pair who were also fast and aggressive in their match . but it turned out that this was the most amazing MD final. Both partners are very strong in defense and attack. well worth a rewatch.

I'm not considering who won the title, but that comeback from 13-20 to 19-20 was out of the world, especially in doubles game where the pace and rally are so damn intense!!! Chirag and Satwik proved why they are world no.1. What God level of calm and composure they had!!!!

At 19-20, the Chinese player asked for medical timeout although he had no injury. Shameful. I'm glad the umpire denied it. Good umpire.

I've seen a match where Taufik broke 4~6 strings, I think it was a European Open, possibly French Open in 2009~2010.

Both Chinese and Indian pairs are unconvincing winners & losers, made too many unforced errors especially at 20/13 3rd set, the Chinese side almost lost, only won on the Indian error at 20/19.. The sounds of smashes are always awesome to the ears in mens doubles, but the unforced errors are by far one of the most stupidest I have seen in mens doubles finals especially in the 3rd set at 20/13 match points by the Chinese pair.
Well... maybe because the margin of error they are working with is so slim. anything that's loose in any way gets punished by the opposition - especially by Wang. there's immense pressure on all players.
if they were that inconsistent, they would not have made the final - to further add, they are the current world no 1 and 5 today.

Did you watch from the first round to end? Wang made lots of mistakes also. But he did better than Liang in the final. Double pairs are backups with each other when one is down.
