Don’t get me wrong, I love a sweet + savory combo, but when I was in Korea and was trying to find a quick bite, that wasn’t sweet in some way, it was impossible! One time I was so desperate I grabbed a hotdog wrapped in pastry thinking surely that will be savory. WRONG. It was sweet! It was frustrating haha especially when I was hungry and wanted substance haha but omg those tangerine pepero looks delicious!

Pizza with French Fries is a thing here in Brazil. We have sweet pizzas too, chocolate, Romeo and Julieta etc. And we put Potato in Hot Dogs and others vegetables, is different from the american/Uk version.

Okay, Kelsey, I'm a Chinese born in Italy so here comes my advice about Italian men! The stereotype about being all flirty and messing around with girls is sometimes true, but not everyone is like that. The guy that you described though really sounds like that and it's not about nationality here... if you ask a guy if he's a fuckboy and he says "what's your definition of a fuckboy?" PLUS he's got shirtless pictures all over his Instagram... well, to me that's a red flag. Is he from the South? Because South Italians are famous for being players. (coming from experience, not stereotypes) It all depends on what you're looking for. If you're down for some fun and you're not looking for anything serious, I'd say go for it! I'm telling you this because I had my heart broken from several Italian men and that's not very funny. They like to play. A lot. It's like they never grow up. And the thing about them being all romantic and stuff... that's definitely a stereotype. Plus, I'd be extra careful about the whole yellow fever stuff. This is an advice coming from a wise unnie lol!

Although those Snacks sound really weird I would love to try them out. In Germany we don't have such interesting combinations, most foods never change so it's quite boring. I personally also love the contrast of sweet and salty taste 😄.

Sriracha and habanero Blue Diamond almonds are soooo good. Flavored almonds have become big here in the US the past few years while people are trying to become healthier and have healthier snacks on hand, so there's a bunch of different flavors of almonds now.

You're are funny together :D Pizza and fries are common in Sweden too as a topping option. A lot of Swedish candies are savory and sweet together.
NOW lets explain a couple of things.
Pizza ...... you have to understand that Potatoes realy aren't and never where "a thing" in Italy, for a variety of reasons.
It was bread and pasta for carbs ..Italians are big on flavor and ya don't get any of that from carbs.
Also there is an issue with cooking technology ..... Italy is not big into deep frying.
So for a variety of reasons, potatoe chips are not going to find their way onto a pizza in Italy or any reasonable Pizza shop.
Not only, but practically there is no deep fryer in a pizza shop and therefor no chips.
Now onto your weirdo sandwich.
Here you will find the difference between Asian and European food combinations.
In the past in rural England there was a specific version of the Ploughmans Buttie .... now this may be argued about ...even the standard Plouhmans Buttie is a source of arguments.
ANYway
What ya had was a long bread roll, a bit like you would find at subway, a foot long.
One end of said roll would have savory ..some sort of meat, ham, beef, corned beef, ect, some sort of local cheese usually strong ( very district had it own), maybee boiled egg and some sort of pickled vegetable, girkin, onion,whatever .... the other end would have the desert, usually jam and lots of it, maybee some cream.
So you started at the savory end and ate your way thru to the desert.
Usually supplied with a ration of beer or ale.
A farm or estate was judged by the quality and generosity of the lunch they provided and it was a factor in attracting the best workers.
Europeans tend to have their savory and their sweet separated.

we have place called Mod’s pizza I like to get meat with red sauce, onions and cheese etc.. but like to drizzle mikes hot honey on half and then pesto on the other half. One side savory and other side savory/sweet 👍👍👍👍👍
Yea, I went to Korea 🇰🇷 in October 2018 for 6 weeks I didn't realize so much foods are so sweet. But I knew Koreans put sugar in a lot of their foods either way it was way too sweet for me.
My favorite pizza is from a local chain: Mashed potato, bacon, and scallion pizza. It's phenomenal. I'm in the U.S.

lol, I watch a lot of Korean Vloggers that do recipes, life, etc and they mix jams and savory things on sandwiches, it never really looked great to me but I'm curious to try it. I'm not fussy so I guess if I get to go to South Korea one day for vacation then I'll try it lol, you girls are funny. Its not a deeper flavor profile-- its just sweet, spicy, salty or sour. Deeper means herbs, spices, methods of cooking, etc.

How about lancashire hotpot, pea and ham soup, parsnip soup, cawl, cornish pasty, hot water crust pies, pie and mash, apple crumble, roast dinner, oxtail soup, over 700 cheeses, scotch egg, steak and kidney pudding, watercress soup, trifle, eton mess, spotted dick, cock a leekie soup, sticky toffee pudding, cobbler, bread and butter pudding, potted shrimp, ploughman's lunch, cranachan, scampi, cumberland sausage, bubble and squeak, shepherds pie, cottage pie, fish pie, eccles cake, scotch broth, english breakfast, jam roly-poly, scouse, roast chestnuts, smoked fish, game, cream teas, toad in the hole, jams, chutneys, preserves, breads, any number of assorted regional biscuits and cakes. How about the humble jacket potato, with an earthy, crispy skin and creamy centre, with your choice of filling? How about all the fruits and vegetables traditionally grown in britain, too many to list of course, but ranging from the many traditional varieties of apples, pear, strawberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, rhubarb etc to more unusual ones include elderberry, marrow, squash, sorrel, samphire and salsify, Oh and by the way, lack of spice does not mean bland. British food is more about subtle herby, earthy and natural flavours that are easily obliterated by the likes of chili. But as for strong flavours: horseradish, mustard, watercress, pickles?
I mean sure, the UK generally has a very poor traditional food culture. Nine times out of ten what you find is a pale imitation of the "real thing". It is an absolute travesty that many in the UK think that the likes of beans on toast constitutes their "traditional" cuisine (where the beans come from a freakin can and the the 'toast' is made from shitty Chorleywood process supermarket bread). That most have never tried a scotch egg that is not from the supermarket (my goodness, the difference between that and a fresh prepared one). That the soggy chips sold in most local chippies are considered acceptable (thank god for those gastropubs making fish and chips like it should be). That the British taste for seafood revolves around a few select species (virtually all of the British whelk catch is sold to Korea!). Nevertheless, take the time and effort to learn about what traditional British cooking can be, and you will find food as delicious as anywhere else. It is really a crying shame that it is not easier to find well made, traditional British food at a good price.
