660cc are always wierd, cause you often see them broken for sale... with head, or cylinder piston problems, ow and gearbox also seen. but they are cheap like 1500€ but never had one cause scared me to fix them up..
I personally like the 660 raptor. They are great for wheelies and have good power. the only thing i had a problem with was the one way starter bearing.
Been on a few 660’s and they are super wheelie happy and even more tippy. Never was a big fan until the 700’s came out and fixed those issues but this one is definitely clean
@@lifeatv haha i mean they aren't junk...but i was just never a fan of em. They didn't handle they were top heavy...plenty of people liked them though and that one is unbelievably clean. Nice video!
My 01 660 bone stock walks my buddy’s 23 yfz450 bone stock, and he’s a better rider than me now it’s got 11:1 full yosh cammmed ported, don’t sleep on the 660s
Walked into my local bank sporting a life.atv shirt yesterday. Got some questions on it from the staff. It was great explaining to them the TH-cam channel you guys have. Got some smiles and laughs, made my day :)
So for losing 2nd gear u would let that stand in the way of not having a blast. It like saying I would buy a car but I heard it goes up in miles when u drive. I’ll stick to public transportation, hitch hiking & Ubers lmfao😅😅😅
@@hennessyremy4970 It's a moot point from OP comment, the Raptor in the video isn't even a 2001 model, so the transmission argument doesn't even hold up anyway lolol People who think the 660s are "notorious" for their transmissions just live in the over-hyped internet echo chamber. The bad transmission was only the first year production model, Yamaha rectified it immediately, and was never a problem again.
I don't care what anyone says, the 660 is freaking awesome lol I love mine, '05 survivor still rocking out 💯🤘🤘

Owned a 660 back in the day and when the 700’s came out they were tossed aside like junk! LOL
Just to clarify, I’m not saying they’re junk. I’m just saying what people did with them.

Seems to be the consensus in the comments
I was never a fan of the Raptor 660 but I can definitely appreciate a clean survivor! That thing is unbelievably clean for the year of it wow!
What’s funny is before I uploaded this, I seen your last video where you said they were junk and I laughed so hard since I just hyped one up 🤣🤣

@@lukecoleman23 haha awesome, I did see that as well. You interested in it??
@ it would look good next to my 2003 warrior, it’s the same color scheme. But probably not, I’m like 5 hours away.
Now you just need a Honda 250R to add to the collection 😊

I thought it was crazy as well, I am never that lucky 🤣
@@lifeatv must of been word of mouth through a friend friend friends grandpa that had it sitting on storage. Old people got the best shit
What exhaust did you think sounded better in your opinion. The empire or the dasa exhaust?
Your one of the first to know but I ordered a full DASA exhaust because I love the looks and the sound! So that’s always been my first choice 🤘
Where is that shee for sale ? He say $7500?
Facebook marketplace in Wisconsin
Bro went over there just to ride his bikes 😂😂😂
You seen his leg, somebody’s got too 🤣🤣
👍👍👍
I wouldn't buy a 660 even tho this one was worth the 2400 the 660 was notorious for losing 2nd gear
I understand they had issues but this is like a brand new bike for 2400 with great power. I’d buy it in a heartbeat 🤘
Losing 2ng gear was only for the 2001 model, they fixed that issue for the remaining years.
Transmission issues were only common when they came out in 2001.
