I’m always amazed that the male is as invested in being excited about the egg and wanting to incubate and later raise the eaglets. Isn’t nature wonderful!
I've been watching since E9 and it still amazes me every year the tenderness and love the eagles show to each other and their egg. We are so privileged to be able to see this every year. Just amazing.
This makes being shut in by our coming winter weather okay, because I'll have my eagles to watch! Prayers for a healthy and plentiful season! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤🦅❤️
F23 and M15 are beautiful!! Don’t they look gorgeous? Seeing them vocalize while looking at the egg at around 0:13 to 0:54 is such a beautiful sight 🥰🥰🥰 thank you for sharing Lady Hawk!

It's called delayed incubation. They try to time the hatching of 2 eggs close to each other. It ensures that the development of each are similar so one won't have the the advantage of being stronger and larger. When food is scarce, this can help the younger chick to survive ❤
Eagles don't incubate full-time until the entire clutch of eggs has been laid. This is called delayed incubation and slows development of the first egg(s) so the eaglets hatch closer together.
@jeanb8848 thank you for the info I didn't know just thought once an egg is laid need to incubate thank you very much something new I've learned about eagles
Eagles try to keep the develop time close together. Makes life a little easier in the nest, too. Imagine having one chick a full 3 days older prior to the other one hatching. We all know they love to bonk. There certainly would be more risk to a newborn trying to move into position for some food with the older one constantly pushing him around.💗🥚
@takemetothesea6238 yes I do understand now thank you for the info and yes I've seen baby eaglwts doing alot of bonking and always worried because one would get more good than the other but before I knew it that one getting bonk took a stand and bonked back it is amazing how eagles act but delightful to watch🦅♥️
Hi Lady Hawk, maybe a stupid question but why is there fur in the eagles next after an egg is laid? Is it from the momma, on any nest, when she’s giving birth? What causes it? Thank you. Or anyone that knows can answer please. 😊
@kimmcewen8536 there is fur in the nest from roadkill things they've brought to the nest to eat. They also bring in moss, grasses etc to soften the nest for comfort. It has nothing to do with the actual laying of the egg or anything to do with the workings of the female or male.
Mighty M and F are joined to the hip😅
Such a lovely couple sharing a romantic moment beside that precious big Egg!
Amazing🦅🦅
Thanks, Lady Hawk!🎉

🦅♥️
Sqeeee🥰
I guess she was hungry..road kill worries all of us
🦅🩷🦅🥚
Haven't we exceeded the time line for another egg?
She will probably tomorrow. By the 4th day, it would seem less likely, but this is only their second season.
It seems like they are leaving the egg out in the elements more this time around..hope nothing happens to it..

I notice she doesn't incubate egg alot that's the most important part for the baby to stay warm grow then hatch don't understand this🦅♥️

Just curious…Does this mean she still may have more? How far apart can she lay them?
I don't like this RK food. It's a dangerous game of Eagle vs oncoming traffic. Thanks Lady Hawk.
I always worry about that
@quieteagle920 yes everyone worries about this but it is the eagles nature as they are scavengers and will eat anything.
Sadly the Eagles have to deal with excessive amounts humans like the rest of us.....
Worries me too! 🙏🏼
Every single year it's a worry 😢. So is the trash behind that Publix where they put rat poison.
