Have to agree the GCR version is rather nice

I really like the A5/9N. It’s a beautiful design, and the model looks really good with a lot of detail. I didn’t get round to buying Sonic Models’ original run, so if I don’t get one second hand I’ll be happy to pick one up from the second run.

a very nice model. I love a big hefty tank engine, and little ones by the way. Very tempting. Has to BR black for me. I have preordered their SR Class K. a favourite loco of mine for my BR/SR layout..

My hope is that the 00 can be converted to EM or P4 - looks like the minimum will be fitting different coupling rods as they look to be one piece .

I kinda find the A5s ugly TBH. (I’m an LNER fan so when I read the title I thought LNER was finally making an A5 😂)

A5 was the LNER's designation for it, 'A' denoting a 4-6-2 wheel arrangement

They’re honestly one of my favourite large pre-grouping tank engines. It’s such a lovely design, as was the case with all of John G. Robinson’s locos, and they were considered powerful and robust in their time.
