I felt this post so deeply. I am 60 and my hair got thinner after I had my daughter. I had all these same fears because I was so afraid of going bald. The bad news was, my hair never really bounced back after that and my hair is very fine and thin. The good news is I didn’t go bald and my hair loss never really got any worse. I actually never really liked my hair until I let it go grey and I’m much happier with it now. However, I still have hair envy when I see your hair color because it’s stunning. I envy those with really thick hair. I agree it’s a good idea to get your hormones etc. checked and find out if there’s a solution. My daughter also has thin hair, but it’s been looking healthier since she stopped washing it every day. I’m with you and I’m sure there ae men who don’t mind if a woman is bald, but a lot of other men are really hung up on a woman’s hair, my husband included. With all that said, I just wanted to say you are not alone in how you feel about this and even though you may not agree, you are beautiful. I hope you find some answers!❤❤

I understand what you mean about giving things up, and not really having much left to give up. And then the one thing you " have left" you end up also having to give up.🤔🤔😒 I'm right there with you. I hope that your journey either helps you come to a conclusion/ resolution and also helps you handle the situation best under the circumstances. You're totally valid. It's sweet that people say you look beautiful no matter what. But, you still want to feel good about who you are, inside and out. I get that! Best wishes, sweetheart.

Did you ever consider asking your doctor? I mean, it seems that might be the best place to start in terms of discovering the potential cause(s) of your hair loss. Also, my two cents, so to speak, about feeling uncomfortable about sharing your feelings in TH-cam videos: The people who are annoyed by honest expressions like this are probably people whose opinion of you really shouldn't matter.
P.S. I have watched your videos for years and I would never call you "average". I think you're beautiful and intelligent, and I have always liked your no-nonsense style and sense of humor! 💕

My hair loss improved a lot since I worked on Ferritin and increase Vitamin D3.- also we have well water and I added a filter to my shower to help with breakage.

I agree with the advice to have your hormone levels checked; also, have you thyroid levels checked at the same time. Either of these are easily correctible with medication. And I'm very unsure what you consider "old," but I'm 60+ and don't feel particularly old. My hair has thinned over the years, but I was blessed with a lot of it and still have a very respectable head of hair. With all respect, it seems unlikely you're destined for baldness. Sending you best wishes and all the warm thoughts.

Thanks girl❤️ I don’t feel particularly old, but I feel like I look old. At any rate I certainly feel like I’m not pretty enough to pull off being bald or even partially bald. 🤣

Menopause could be your hair loss cause, are you against taking hormones? Rogaine? I have seen hair toppers recently that look really good IMO. I think you are beautiful, as I am sure many others do too. ❤ I started massaging my scalp every night, in hopes of making my hair grow/healthier.

You’re so sweet! I have a feeling it’s menopause related. I’ve been using a rosemary and castor oil mixture.

@@itshollynow yeah, probably. A drop in estrogen and progesterone can cause hair issues, from what I read. I had hair loss from a vitamin deficiency some years ago. I heard rosemary is good and castor oil too. I hope it works for you ❤️

How long has it been since you had your iron levels checked? I had low iron due to some health issues i finally had surgery and now my iron got better however it toke some time to help with my thinning hair so i got my hair cut in layers it gave it some volume and it looks thicker.

Get your hormone levels checked- and go to a dermatologist to address the health of your scalp. I think the grey looks good. And personally I think you’re a beautiful woman.

You have beautiful long healthy looking gray hair Mine is awful it’s salt & pepper just awful looking I wish I could help I have been going through the same thing Except I have a big thinned out spot right on the front of my head & my hair has thinned out bad on a spot on the back of my head where unfortunately a cowlick is 🥹 I do have thyroid & other health issues But it’s not from those otherwise it would have happened when they began In my opinion or at least way before now I don’t want to use traditional things like rogaine Hell I’m scared to dye my hair for fear of making it worse especially having awful hard well water I can’t afford all the different the hair growth pills Please let me know how the rosemary and castor oil works I’ve been wanting to try it but my hair is so fine & thin the thought of heavy castor oil scares me I made the mistake of listening to people say sulfate free only and not to wash my hair but 2xs a week I really think that caused it to get worse Bc I when I went back to regular sulfate shampoo & shampooing more often my hair stopped thinning to where it’s not a full on bald spot that I feel it would be if I continued that route Sorry for the long rambling comment I’m just really anxious about my hair if it’s going to thin out more etc I definitely don’t want to lose anymore hair I know for several yrs now my hair is a lot dryer & breaks easier Idk if that’s bc of menopause I don’t get an oily scalp like I should if I weren’t to wash my hair within 3 days It’s harder now to find shampoo & conditioner for adding volume & some moisture 😩 I can’t remember if the different shampoos I had heard good results from I know one is Bondi Boost but that’s not the main one I am trying to remember Again I apologize for the book chapter comment I’m going to hush now Please 🙏🏼 keep me updated if you find anything that helps

I haven’t really seen much different using the oils, but I’m going to keep using them. It’s become a nice pampering experience for me every night. I’ll keep you posted though. I’m going to try adding more protein to my diet and see if that helps. ❤️❤️
