- 沖縄少林流と剛柔流に同じ名前の型「セイサン」がある。なぜ？どうして？どこが同じ？どう違う？
島袋善俊先生（少林流）と八木明広先生（剛柔流）に並んで見せてもらった。
Same name Kata "Seisan" of Okinawa Shorin-ryu and Gojyu-ryu. Are they different or same?
Let's compare with Zenshun Shimabukuro sensesi (Shorin-ryu) and Akihiro Yagi sensei (Gojyu-ryu)!

昔は現代ほど簡単に情報を伝達出来なかった事を考えると、元は同じ型で流派ごとのコンセプトの違いから見た目が変化していたのかなという気がします。
自分はまた別の流派のセイサンを習っていますが、自分の流派の動きがそれぞれどう変わっているのかという観点で見てみると意外とこの動画で紹介されている2つの型も共通項が多いように思います。
Seisan is one of those Kata that most Karate styles have but intrepid it differently. Kyokushin doesn't have a Seisan so I just practice Shotokan's Hangetsu and Goju's Seisan since Kyokushin is based on Shotokan and Goju
English subtitles for when they speak japanese would have been great.
But apart from that: it is really interesting to see how different and yet still alike these versions of the same Kata are and it is amazing that both sensei finished at the same time, despite the Shorin-Ryu sensei moving much faster for most of the time. I only wonder why the Goju Ryu version is so much shorter.

Wow, both are very good doing kata, There are a lot of differences between both kata, I tought that would be similar, Goju Ryu looks like shito ryu kata, And there are a lot of Shorin Ryu kata very similar to shito ryu style, Its so good to see that Grand Masters of two different styles make karate together and share their knowledge, greetings from México, I do practice Okinawan Shito Ryu.
早いなあ〜。オススメに出てきてもう一度見直してみたけど、もう5年もたってるのか。又、新しい発見があったりするから同じ画像見てても面白いですね。

少林寺流空手道錬心館は、硬式防具ですが他所と交わらずというルールがあるので交流はありませんが、セイサン、アーナンクー、ワンシュー、チントー、五十四歩、バッサイ、クーシャンクーとかありました。
全空連より、沖縄空手の影響が強いのかな。
lol you can always tell Goju by that step that they do. So unique to their art.

Shorin version is very close to our hangetsu in shotokan except the punches are done like stretching the muscles not punching as shorin does
Hangetsu came from Seisan.
セイサンは、漢字で十三手って書くから違う流とかでも、13回つきしてるのかなー
