I'm so glad I got to see Andre perform with Shaman before his untimely passing, His Angra albums and the first 2 Kiske Helloween albums are what got me into power metal and were two vocalists that had a huge effect on my to decision dedicate time and effort to my craft. I'm a counter-tenor without the best lows so hearing guys like Andre, Michael Kiske, and Geoff Tate showed me you can indeed succed in hard rock and metal with a sky high register. Yannis from Beast in Black is my new muse, but guys like Andre Matos are food for the soul and I'll never tire of listening too them. Requiescat in Pace my Brazillian friend.
