Great review. Only thing that I thought you missed is that the JRNY app specifically allows you to connect to the Peloton app if you have the app subscription. A great way to add Peloton benefits with the Bowflex bike.
This is the best comparison video on TH-cam between the Velocore and the Peloton+. I bought the peloton bike+ and was happy until I tried the Velocore at a family members house 3 weeks after I received my peloton. Sent the peloton back and ordered the Velocore, couldn’t be happier. Peloton is great for those who want to ride with friends and say they have a peloton. Velocore is for someone looking for a smart workout
I just ordered the velocore before seeing your video which has really helpful. I never tried either till today at a gym where they had peloton bikes. I like the look much better and smaller size over the velocore but hope the extra features make up for this. Plus you can also connect to peloton app so better options on riding programs. Still I was impressed by the stable comfortable ride which allowed me to ride for longer than planned. My velocore arrives next week.
I do own Velocore bike and my problem with it (the only problem) is that I am 4'11" and the seat does not go down low enough which is painful and very annoying. There is no way to adjust it at all. I tried to see if there are longer cranks, but there are not. So it is a struggle for me. Peloton goes down all the way
I have the velocore and it did include shipping and the matt, I've had my bike for over a year now and love it and recently they started doing the jrny app free for a year when you buy the bike when my subscription was up my hubby signed up for a year jrny subscription so haven't paid for it yet. not sure how long they will do that for but worth looking into. However don't have to use the app between jnry subscriptions I let it laps for a few months and used the zwift app on my tablet.
I just ordered this bike from Best Buy mainly because of the Zwift app. How is it does it compare to having an indoor trainer like wahoo kicker? Does it respond well with the app? Thanks
@@TreadmillReviewGuru thanks for the quick reply!!! I’m not interested in the JRNY capabilities. Since I do metal fabrication as a hobby, I thought I would purchase the bike with the smaller display screen, then fabricate a metal stand to hold a flat screen TV in front or on place of the Velocore screen. This would bypass the JRNY membership and give me access to TH-cam and other options. Would this work?
Up until recently that bike has been exclusive to Dick's Sporting Goods. It recently became available on the Bowflex website so it's something we're trying to work on but we're also not sure how long it's going to be available since it's on clearance. Hopefully that makes sense. If you check out our review of the C6, the C7 is the same bike just with an attached touchscreen.
How the resistance differs? I want to know that if I use peloton app with the bow flex can I adjust to the same level as the instructor and will it be the same level as peloton or do they differ? Hopefully, that makes sense. Thanks in advance!
They both have 100 levels of resistance. Unfortunately, it's impossible to know if they're exactly the same, however, they feel fairly similar when you're at the same level on each bike.
Do not buy a bowflex bike, the box was destroyed when i got it. They wouldnt let us send it back and said they would replace any broken parts. The bolts to put it together were missing and the still will not send me them. Its still just sitting in pieces. I wish i would have gotten ANY OTHER BIKE besides this hunk of crap made by crappy people.
Sorry for your situation. This makes me wonder now. After hearing this and after reviewing countless items that I have put together over my lifetime. The thought of receiving this box amd putting it together with nothing going wrong is pretty slim. I am now seriously thinking about purchasing Bowflex and paying for delivery AND setup? Much rather have it ready for me to use on the spot without the hassle of that?!
@@Bipbop66 it's what i have to report sadly, i paid for a nice new bike, i cant belive how little they care. It seems like a heavy well built product, but i need to go through the bolt section of my local hardware store to finish it.
Uh, no. Nor will any of the other companies that make stationary exercise bikes that compete against Peloton. The reason top quality alternatives exist is Peloton charges too much and has a mandatory subscription even after you've bought the bike. If anyone should be facing a lawsuit it's Peloton (though perhaps it will only be bankruptcy court).
I disagree, Peloton is so boring and is like riding any 250 dollar bike you can pick up on amazon. On what grounds would they have a lawsuit? The bike design is not a copy and is no where near the same, that would be the only patent they could hold, its not like peloton came up with the stationary biking concept that would be like Huffy suing Schwinn.

Thanks for watching! Glad you're enjoying your Velocore!

"Is it going to give you rock hard abs? No" lol classic.
😅haha, thanks for watching!
Actually, the bowflex does give you rock hard abs. A much better core workout
Which would you recommend to a first time indoor bike buyer with limited experience, who's trying to get back into fitness?
The less expensive, upfront and monthly, period! Bow flex.
I just purchased the velocore bike but the 16 inch version. Just worried the screen might be too small but I got it at a great price!
Best Buy rewards member pricing? I just ordered mine there the other day, couldn't believe the price. I think the 16" screen will be fine.

How much is pelaton each month?
Can you use the Bowflex in total manual mode (not logged into JRNY)?
Yes you can, but you won't have access to Netflix or any of the other third party apps unfortunately.

What's the recommendation for someone that's 260lbs 6'5? More concerned about my height and being comfortable while riding.
I wonder why there are barely any reviews on youtube on the Bowflex C7 bike? Nobody cares? Is it not good?

can you do a comparison between life fitness run cx and sole f85
The paid subscription is what’s stopping me from getting the bowflex
Velacore is just better. I have used both extensively

Do this pelaton make noice people saying the do noice around bike
Bowflex and gimmicks. Name a more iconic duo.

Absolutely nothing “traditional” about peloton! Beats out every bike on the market!!! bow flex is going to have a lot of lawsuits in its future.

Lawsuits? Bern riding for a year and a half snd no issues. No instability at all practically riding it sideways
