Dass die Bahnen noch nicht auf der kompletten Strecke fahren, hängt primär damit zusammen, dass sich die entsprechenden Stadtgebiete noch in der Entwicklung befinden. Generell kann man sicher sagen, dass der Ausbau des ÖPNV in Dubai hilfreich ist, wenn man das extreme Verkehrschaos auf den Straßen kennt. ;-)

Das ist sicherlich zum Teil auch dem guten Schienenzustand der neuen Strecke zu verdanken, aber generell machen die Fahrzeuge einen qualitativ sehr wertigen Eindruck.

Da es ein vollautomatisches System ist, kann das recht flexibel gehandhabt werden. Technisch möglich wären wohl 90 Sekunden. Die grüne Zahl gibt die offizielle Haltestellennummer an.

I heard that this Metro was costing them 8 billion and built by Japanese, but since the economic crisis of 2008, they can not pay this amount so far and re-pledge debt under 2 percent for the next few years. Given the flow of passengers and duration of the current crisis in the coming years it will never pays off by itself. Likely to be closed. Too much luxury for the town in the desert which lost all investments like "mirage".
