Use a 12 volt headlight lamp in series between the charger and battery. Thus you would not overcharge the battery. Once the battery is charged the lamp will start to glow.

Hp dell laptop charger mostly are 19v and there Lenovo laptop chargers which are 15v and are the best for charging car battery.charging a 12v battery with a 19v charger will work but that battery will die very fast because of that fast charge.

I do wonder if given all the different configs you can have there is a chance the transformer overheat due to the lack of power limiter...
In theory you can charge it this way but if there is no limiter there is a good chance you just burn the transformer in no time.
If the transformer has a limiter this surely is a safe way to charge the battery since those thing are probably design for way higher wattage than a medium side transformer.

Battery Max Charge in Watts/Joules or Amps divide by Max Watts/h or Amps/h of the transformer (output) = amount of hours it would take to fully charge and adding some inefficient to it you can safely say is safe to charge it for that period of time. If the transformer is huge then you also need to take others factors like charge speed on the battery but on this scenarios the battery can carry way more power than the small transformer (for sure). Volt of the transformer has to be the same as the battery and if there is no power limiter on the transformer you are about to see a nice burn transformer if the battery is power-hungry.

Hi,you need a 12v battery as a capacitor that has a static charge to feed current to the starter motor.The adapter alone cannot feed the required starting current.

You can't charge 12v battery with a 12v charger never.a charger must be 2 to 3v higher than the battery to be charged.so look for 14v or 15v laptop charger 😎
