I love how passionate you are about Bond. I work in custom, made-to-measure menswear and have a few observations: 1. Love the key details of the fabric, and signature Tom Ford details: Glen Plaid/PoW pattern, Milanese buttonhole, the O Connor fit. 2. Your jacket doesn't fit you in the chest. Tom Ford pieces are fully canvassed, it will take care of your prominent chest. The lapel is still popping, this needs a press and stretch or letting out of the chest from the centre seam. 3. Roped shoulders are great, the signature of the Tom Ford fit. However your shoulders are sloped, I would recommend the tailor press the shoulder, or slim out the padding a little bit. 4. You seem to have a lot of room on your jacket sleeves. They needn't be tight, but the excess fabric is excess fabric, it still doesn't fall straight when your arms are down. There's drooping, and your arms are backward, so that's a sleeve-pitch issue too. 5. You like a suppressed waist, which is a personal taste, and that's great :) At the same time, I personally would not recommend it to this extent for you, as your chest to waist drop (ratio wise) is immense. You want to accentuate waist shape, but when your drop is is that big, I wouldn't recommend it be that much suppression. Let that out a smidge. 6. Your jacket is a tad too long. I would recommend it end between the first and second knuckle of your thumb. 7. Take in the seat of your jacket a little bit for a better drape on the single vent. A great, unique, action detail though as you said ;) 8. Be sure to not have the tie pin pull against the tie so much, it'll ruin the fabric! Great accessories though! :) 8. Yes, you have a slimmer lower body, and this is a good thing you've noticed. Your trousers fit you in the thigh and seat perfectly. That tailor is fantastic. However, from the calf down, I would recommend still tapering that up by around 0.5'-0.75'. As your trousers are cuffed, a break that large is a little excessive. I would personally say they reach the first shoelace. I'm quite obsessive and passionate in a different way, so these are some observations and thoughts I thought I'd share with you. This is an awesome video, and I'm super excited to see the film, and your videos relating to the film! Watched you for a long time, and I'm a huge fan of your content. Best of luck!

Amazing vid my friend. You are a natural storyteller. I remember seeing Live And Let Die with my dad when I was 7, and being blown away by the Rolex 5513 with the bullet deviating magnet and the high speed circular saw. 21 years later, when I received my medical degree I purchased a Rolex Sub from the year Live and Let Die was released. That watch, my first real watch, will go to my firstborn when he turns 21. Amazing how 007 has touched and influenced us.
I'm a doctor and huge James Bond fan too. My son is only 9 months, but he already has dibs on my Breitling Navitimer and Breitling Top Time. Best wishes :)

I just found your channel and am enjoying your videos. I must say that the Tom Ford experience is something every man should try to have for himself. I have been to the stores here in Los Angeles and also Las Vegas, and it's nothing short of amazing. They really do treat you like royalty there, and their garments are above and beyond competitors like Armani and Zegna (in my opinion). This was a great video, and your silhouette could easily pass for Daniel Craig as 007. Keep up the great work !
Great video sir! 👏🏽 Beautiful suit and the Prince Of Wales pattern is so so nice! I prefer the lapels broader, the thin lapels are a bit too trendy for me.
@@nokiafuck I think Tom Ford has taken some of the best of bespoke creations to their made to measure program. A well fitted suit is always going to look great, and if you look at the fitting David did the jacket fit through the chest and back really well. There are differences, yes, but not as many as their used to be.
You can come to Italy and get one of this suit, made in Italy, more cheaper (of course without "Tom Ford brand"). Anyway, for me James Bond's suits are from Savile Row!
i am so happy to see your videos because i have learnt dressing styles from daniel bond and you helped me lot about movie dress style and fabrics shoes etc and i am die hard fan of craig

If you look into the mirror you get the exact same result that is visible in this video (wrinkles below the right shoulder from the back and one side of the suit jacket being longer than the other) because your body tries to correct this by bending to one side. The solution is either to get a bespoke suit (made to meassure suits can't correct that issue completely) or even better to get orthopedic insoles that elongate one leg so that both legs have the same length. Then your posture automatically corrects itself and the wrinkels as well as the difference in length of the sit jacket in the front will disappear.
@@nokiafuck Hello, your reply could very well be the case. Different leg lengths is a common issue and could be increased by his physicalness. I tried to buy short size Tom Ford suit(48C or 50C) in Korea but they do not sell C size in here and very difficult to find in Europe. If I go to US, have to visit Tom Ford shop 😊
As attentive to detail as you are, and we thank you for that, I thought you’d like this. Daniel Craig has his left cuff made slightly larger to wear the watch. www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-03-13/this-one-watch-is-so-precious-daniel-craig-never-even-wears-it
Excuse my soft snobbery, but that’s actually a common practice with bespoke menswear. It’s also interesting the astonishing number of people who have appendages that are different sizes. Customizing apparel even if it is frugal to begin with with make one look much nicer. It’s all about the fit that flatters your body.
Hi David, great video as usual! How is the fit compared to the Spectre suits? Are the lapels thinner? How long are the pants cuff in this one? I have the Mexico suit and would love add it to my collection ;)
Crystal from TF NYC can help you, but the lapels are slightly thinned...I find the fit to be more 'forgiving' than the Mexico one BUT that may have to do with how I sized and the tailoring.
Amazing suit and video. Only difference I’d have done in the tailoring is slimmed the pants a bit more to fit the slim fit of the jacket. Otherwise perfection!
what an entertaining channel some additional detail/ info for you, since the suits are made by Zegna, the C on the label doesn't stand for custom but for "short" / corto regarding the base master garment used for made to measure products what made you start this channel ? cheers
David this looks spectacular. Seeing as I won't be able to purchase a Tom Ford suit anytime soon, I wanted to get your opinion on a tailor in the Newtown area whom you trust. Keep up the great work and fantastic content.
Craig not Creg. As you Americans pronounce it. Please don't take any offence. Great in depth video, just wish I could have my clothes tailored like that. Not forgetting the dosh to afford it! Cheers.
Great video. One question, the suit is a 3 button, which I'm a big fan of but have switched over to the 2 button style. Why wouldn't you have the suit make in the 2 button style? Just a slight observation that with the lapel rolling over the top button and hole you see the dark threads of the button hole exposed.
A really well cut suit should hang right even if it had just the one button (such as the Huntsman house style) but know what you mean about the 2 button
Thanks for sharing! Love the video. What did you have to do for them to send you a suit in the first place? Do they measure you at a store then manufacture the suit and mail it to you for the final fitting? If I would like a bond style black tux as in quantum of solace, any recommendations for a similar tux that is not as expensive? The Tom Ford tux shows up as $6000 online...hoping for something in the $500-$1500 range maybe?
Hi David, I think you should use microphones and better cameras/filming. Some of the recording was plain claustrophobic and some backgrounds were too bright. And yes some (a lot of) editing will be helpful to keep the videos short and nice.
Interesting they gave you a 50 C which means is a 50 short. May I ask do you own any other TF suits. The O'connor cut has always been challenging for me personally and I actually spoke to the VP of menswear at TF and he confessed the cut is "difficult" and they tweaked so much of it during the yrs. It seems the cut is still very narrow on the shoulders and chest, so hence you have to up size but at the same time getting a shorter cut
What is the exact song that is used in the intro? People are gonna tell me it's the "James Bond Theme" but it sounds different than every James bond theme I've heard. I can't find it anywhere
Fascinating video David, and at 15:27 you really look like Daniel Craig! I'll never be able to afford such a suit so it's really amazing to follow you through this review and experience the whole process :)
@@mathieunorry I totally get the "FANatism" about Bond. I'd like some of the pieces worn in the craig films as well. Especially the vlc distressed leather jacket and the suede one. But with the pricing of those Items I can settle with a close enough piece as well... 😂
This is going to make me unpopular. I don’t think the suit fits you well in the chest. It looks too small and is pulling in front. The buttons stance also needs to be a bit lower on your jacket.
donmatt74 won’t make you unpopular at all! Fit is very subjective and I respect all opinions. And I do mention in the video an adjustment or two to be made. 😎👍
David, I am long time viewer i really like your videos. I also really appreciate your time putting into this channel. There is something i just want to say: the suits daniel is wearing i am sure is custommade for his height. You are wearing an altered off the rack suit which are probably made for taller men. You can make the jacket shorter, but i can see the pocketflaps are too low on your suit if you compare it with the set pics in london.... which is a pity for a probably multi thousand dollar suit.... also the shoulders on yours are more square then on daniel. Won’t it be better to source a comparable fabric and custommade the suit... probably less expensive also...
johnluminor totally respect your opinion...and you served it up in a nice and constructive way. Craig is only two inches taller than me and this suit is a short as opposed to a regular. I am not keen on the very short jacket look but again fit is very subjective.

Craig not Creg. As you Americans pronounce it. Please don't take any offence. Great in depth video, just wish I could have my clothes tailored like that. Not forgetting the dosh to afford it! Cheers.
David what knot do you use for the tab collar?
Please could you tell me what shoes you are wearing during the fitting, they look amazing. Thanks
suit is much better cut than the spectre super-tight approach... YAY!
Love your passion sir.
Absolutely love Tom Ford suits.
Any additional details on the “correct” tie, and the shirt? Can you get these directly from a boutique now?
And the tie bar!
Very nice, just add the walther pp compartment and its ready for action.
This suit is look amazing 👌 really like the fitting.
You deserve a interview with Daniel Craig
Hi, is the tie a navy colour or a dark grey? Can you describe it?
What cool story! Will you actually wear that suit to work?
what jacket and shoes are you wearing walking into the TF store??
Think it looks stunning, plus, I enjoy learning about suits. I think any man can look great in a suit. Just has to fit right.
Fits beautifully thanks for the review! How do I get my hands on this specific suit?
I want to buy the exact plaid that you have there! Can you tell me the name of that exact plaid design? Thank you!
Fascinating video David, and at 15:27 you really look like Daniel Craig! I'll never be able to afford such a suit so it's really amazing to follow you through this review and experience the whole process :)
I saw Daniel look right at you. He realized there was a new sheriff in town.
Amazing, just amazing.
Great suit,
Great video
Thanks so much.
Sharp looking suit David.
Wow, thank you, love your videos , the suit looks amazing!!
I like your video.
In this film, I think Daniel Craig wears two button suit unlike other films. I can’t find the upper button hole in the trailer.
Great Video! Always Love your Passion & Content.💯👔🙏🏼
Bravo! Great vlog! Congratulations - You look the part! Happy Holidays!
Thanks for this video. Nice to catch up on style. Tom Ford actually makes a masculine-looking suit.
What jacket are you wearing at the train station???
Mason & Son
I've always thought that Deniel Craig based his Bond look on Mc Queen's Thomas Crown.
Tom Ford...ooh. It's cool because Tm Ford is one of the signature marks exclusive to Craig's Bond.
Very Quantum of Solace-y!
Your passion is so inspirational, David.
This man has a serious passion for all things bond , fair play !!
how much is the suit ?
A little under $5k
@@TheBondExperience wow...
Agreed
TheBondExperience Took it like a man and how Bond would’ve handled that comment in my opinion.
@@TheBondExperience Looks great! and I'm English, so essentially I'm bond lol.
40:05 but he said this!
Nice video! Great suit.
Unboxing, let's do it!!
Happy Christmas David .
Very cool video. And the suit suits you very well 👍
David,
I am long time viewer i really like your videos.
TheBondExperience i am glad you are not offended. By the way i thought you are approx the same height as Craig... probably 178cm?
what is that shirt you wear in the beginning of the video?
This dude is real in to bond.
I have the opportunity to make this suit my first big Bond brand purchase. Should I go for it David?
Hey David: What's the shoulder seam to shoulder seam measurement of that Tom Ford suit? Thanks.
