It's quite likely both Henry and Shawn know they both have it. The game they played when Shawn was little is basically "how to occupy a kid with ADHD." The inability to focus coupled with how quickly they process information makes the game very effective.
Gus and Charles would at first be insecure and threatened by Shawn and Jake's budding friendship, until Gus and Charles realise how much they have in common and become besties, and then Shawn and Jake are like "hold on what's going on"

The fact that my Christian parents let me watch this show religiously to the point where i have a watercolor painting of it framed hanging above my bed is insane. They gave me money to commission a girl at school to do that painting. How I didn't get grounded for watching an episode in front of them is a miracle that i do not understand.
My parents (and me too) are Christian and they were the ones who introduced me to this show in the third grade 😂. I think that Psych did a really good job with being funny, but not wildly inappropriate like some other shows tend to be. Shawn uses his talents, has fun, and does good- which is honestly a good thing for young kids to learn. He isn’t perfect but he is doing what he can to make the world a better place (even tho it took him a while to get there 😂)

i just started getting back into Psych after around 7 years and now while rewatching it im like "Shawn basically embodies what my mind is like 24/7. no wonder i loved him so much as a kid and identified more like him" im glad i started rewatching the show. its just as good as i remember it being. i now want to start cosplaying as Shawn for videos on Tik Tok now. also i love his practically encyclopedic knowledge of movie trivia and the costant references he makes that barely anyone else gets except for him and Gus. he is the embodiment of Chaotic Good.
