After the trek through the swamp and making an old fashioned shot with irons, I gotta hand it to her, that was one impressive hunt! The 416 she was using was a beautiful piece of work also. I love to see people using their fine, engraved rifles in the field rather than just keeping the guns in the back of the safe. She's obviously spent some time with this rifle to drop that buff as she did. Congratulations, quite impressive!
How many women on the face of the planet do what Debbie is doing out there in the bush? Not too many I would wager. She is an absolute legend. She has all the skills of a legendary stalker and eye for the perfect shot. Keep it up Luv. You have won a fan in me and greetings from Down under where you could get some great Buff hunting in if you so desired. We treat them as vermin down here.
I like this hunt very much it was very peaceful good music and successful. And I agree with the other comment I like to see a high-grade well-put-together engraved high-grade wood beautiful rifle used out in the field
Awesome hunt... except for the getting-wet in the tall grass, I wished I'd been there myself. Can't go wrong with a well-placed slug from a .416 Rigby!
About ten years ago my stepson went through the Marines advanced infantry training where he earned the second highest sniper ranking, and he got to where he could shoot a honey dew melon at 500 yds. with iron sights and never miss (a honey dew melon being the size of a man's head). I asked him how he got so good at it and he replied: "Jim... I shot a lot of rounds." One thing he did say though was that the barrels they used on those rifles were special made and that they were available only to the military. He said you couldn't buy a barrel like that on the open market.
Great shooting! My understanding of cape buffalo hunting in Africa is that you need a minimum caliber of .366 (9.3) or .375. Is there a minimum energy requirement as well? Or can someone use a .444 marlin or .45-70?
Great video again - if I see how walking through the hi grass, and water - I can feel the ticks which hanging on you - isn't! Do you don’t use hearing protection when your are shooting? I think with this heavy caliber it makes a lot of decibel? Regards from Switzerland
Good day. Thank you for watching and comment. Yes we do wear ear protection. They are pretty small to see but its the type which you can whisper and talk to each other and it blocks out a big bang. It is very important to protect your hearing..... ( I know some guys call it selective hearing around the wife LOL....) I have not seen many ticks throughout my years there in the swamp but many leaches in the water. They are harmless though....
Yes, I use this kind of hearing protection too - we call it active protection e.g. 3M. Yes, the selective hearing around the wife I know quite well - if I tell her that I'm going this evening for hunting and her answer "i can’t hear" very often! She tells me then, I should visit the ear doctor for test my hearing!
Wby Magnum, sure is safer. But to swing the entire team behind me is a job. LOL! If I can see very little breathing. I make the choice. Think with many many Buffalo under my belt, I have a good feeling when and how to proceed. Many thanks for your comment and concern.
Robert Duncan, thank you for your comment. We employ people and they are very proud to have the job. Believe me, we would gladly carry our own rifle all the time, but their are times we help each other out and at those times these trackers are so proud to be able to carry your rifle even just a little ways. Once you have experienced it, you will understand. Best regards!

I could be wrong but I think the cartridge is the 404 Jeffery with 400gr. bullet very similar to the 416.

Skitterende video! Perfekte skootplasing. :)
How is that shot even possible without telescopic sights!! Awesome video.
Looks further away than it really is on camera . No doubt, still a terrific shot but the distance did not seem overly far.

Was it a .416 ?

Thank you very much
Nice to hear meat going to the local children , great hunt and shot.
Those will be some great steaks 🥩
Calibre and ammo details please
Good day. Thank you for asking. The Calibre is 416 Rigby. The ammo is 400 grain Peregrine bushmaster.
@@BraveBuffaloMedia thankyou very much
Thankyou
Why do you go in front on a Buffalo when he is down? Must be safer from the back side if he comes up

Carry your own firearm, thats not right
